Now that RL Grime’s favorite holiday Halloween has come and passed, it’s come time to get into the Christmas spirit. Today, Kaskade is helping us break out the holly-jolly vibes early with a brand new single titled “Deck The Halls”.

Having recently released a bass-heavy collab with LöKii and a unique chill remix of Whitney Houston's "Woman", the heavyweight producer has continued his streak of incredible house tracks with this latest offering. Featuring vocals from Detroit-based artist Erika, “Deck The Halls” puts a refreshing, groovy spin on a holiday favorite. Kaskade has also announced his upcoming Christmas album, and those in the spirit will be happy to know that the full project is set to drop this coming Friday (November 24). Diplo x A-Trak Share Epic B2b Set From Orlando EDC : Listen

A-Trak Diplo

A-Trak and Diplo united at EDC Orlando last weekend to perform a legendary b2b set for the lucky attendees. Thankfully, a week later A-Trak has uploaded the b2b set in all of it glory for the rest of the world to hear. Naturally, we’d rather be all sweaty in the crowd listening to the two icons spew these dance beats… but being able to jam them through our headphones will have to do.

The two producers have been busy in the past couple weeks as Diplo is coming off the recent release of his new MØ collaboration “Get It Right” and A-Trak just dropped two tracks with Baauer kicking off a b2b tour.

This Diplo x A-Trak b2b set is what you’d expect from these two… nonstop high-energy. Enjoy!

Lunice & The Alchemist Join Forces On Unexpected New EP 'Moving Parts'

Lunice Alchemist

What happens when you combine a legendary hip-hop producer with one of the most forward thinking beat makers in the industry? An unexpected, brilliant piece of art. Lunice, most popular for his solo work, along with his infamous TNGHT project with Hudson Mohawke, has joined forces The Alchemist, frequent collaborator with rappers like Joey Bada$$ and Action Bronson. The two dropped a surprise, eight-track EP today, Moving Parts, which is full of otherworldly beats.

The two artists were set up by Dutch clothing brand Patta at the Red Bull studios to create beats for the BC One World Final, the top tier breakdancing competition in the world. The two weren’t on their own, however. “The musicians they gave us access to is ridiculous,” The Alchemist noted, “it would be unfair for us to sit here and say we’re running the show.” The Alchemist is most known for his incredible use of sampling, so his praise here speaks volumes. Add Lunice’s spacey, bass-heavy flair, and the result is a unique, new-school rendition of breakbeats.

The collaboration on Moving Parts is seamless. Neither of the two producers’ styles overtake one another at any point on the EP. At the same time, you can easily pick out who contributed what on each of the eight tracks. Whoever specifically had the idea of taking these two and sticking them together in the studio with a bunch of musicians deserves a medal.

Who knows if Lunice and The Alchemist will come together again in the future, but for now, let’s be thankful that we’re able to feast upon this epic collaboration. Take a listen to the full Moving Parts project right here. We hope you dig it as much as we did. Enjoy!
