deadmau5 Shares 13-Track Album 'Stuff I Used To Do’ [Free Download]

deadmau5 press shot

After dropping his W:/2016Album in December, deadmau5 keeps the music coming with another LP called stuff i used to do which is a 13-track compilation of his works dating from 1998 to 2007. He shared a minimix for the new project earlier in the week, but now serves up the full album for free and it sounds great.

It covers a variety of genres from techno, house and electro to experimental and hip-hop. It's interesting to compare the old deadmau5 music to the new deadmau5 music. We're curious to hear your thoughts so please throw them in the comment section below. Enjoy!

[PREMIERE] Alison Wonderland Shares Cinematic Remix Of Lido's “Crazy"

Alison Wonderland x Lido

Lido blew us away last April with "Crazy", the lead single off his debut single. The song came paired with an insane music video in which Lido conducted a symphony of lights in sync with the track's lush future bass synths, vocals and horn bursts. Well now Alison Wonderland has decided to give the record her own spin and we're excited to premiere it on TSIS.

While the original track starts off by isolating the vocal, Alison chooses to give the production a darker, more cinematic feel by adding low orchestral strings underneath. She layers this opening sequence with epic percussion that steadily becomes louder and louder in the buildup. The future bass drop is reworked and broken up with unique drum hits and other percussive fillers.

It's worth noting that Lido's remix of Alison's single "Messiah" with M-Phazes also dropped today, but it wasn't by complete coincidence. The two are actually really good friends.

"Alison is one of my best friends in the whole world. We met three years ago and she's had my back ever since. We even lived together for a little while. As soon as she played me Messiah I knew I had to put my spin on it and it was torture keeping the song on the hush for so long. I guess she felt similarly about Crazy so this is the most organic remix-swap of all time!" - Lido

Alison adds, "It's really cool to be creative with people who you not only respect as an artist but you can call a friend." With respect to Lido's remix of "Messiah", it simply is next level. Lido takes on the duty of vocals and nails it. He completely makes it his own and masterfully switches from one mood to another in smooth fashion. He keeps the upbeat house drop but overlays the catchy beat with distinct drums and atmospheric pads. Listen to his remix of "Messiah" and the premiere of Alison's remix of "Crazy" below. Enjoy!

Rising Artist NAV Releases Self-Titled Debut Project Via The Weeknd’s Label: Hip-Hop / R&B

Nav Weeknd side by side

The Weeknd’s newest label signee NAV has just dropped his debut self-titled mixtape. The producer and rapper / singer self-produced most of the project himself and served as the executive producer alongside Amir "Cash" Esmailian.

NAV’s Soundcloud has been racking up a ton of plays and he’s been someone we’ve had an eye on ever since his infectious "beibs in the trap" collaboration with Travis Scott. He recently dropped his Weeknd collaboration "Some Way" as his first track on The Weeknd’s XO label and quickly followed it up with this full 11-track project via XO / Republic Records.

His dreamy hip-hop production captures a trap-leaning, chilled out vibe throughout the hazy mixtape. NAV’s catchy R&B vocals are super melodic on each song as his minor autotune perfectly compliments his voice in a way that will surely get stuck in your head. Stream the whole project below and enjoy!
