PREMIERE | Rickyxsan & Hyraulix Combine On Heavy New Bass Single "UNDRGRND"

rickyxsan hydraulix

Rickyxsan and Hydraulix have come together once again to give us today’s bangin’ premiere “UNDRGRND”. The pair last collaborated nearly a year ago on their high-energy Never Say Die release “Sleep”, which we premiered here. Now “UNDRGRND” sees the two heavy-hitters maintain this same energy while adding an even grittier feel for this bass-heavy trap tune.

Distorted vocals and subtle synths lead to a machine-like buildup with a robotic countdown and upbeat percussion. Rickyxsan and Hydraulix drop it with squelching cyborg synths that penetrate our speakers as the deep bass pushes through below. The duo come back full force with a second drop, laying out a fat, dirty bassline complete with gritty wobbles and compact, gliding synth notes. This marks the second Never Say Die collaboration for Rickyxsan and Hydraulix, and we hope it’s not the last. Check it out below and enjoy!

PREMIERE | La Félix Makes TSIS Debut With Chill, Funky New Song "Comes & Goes"

la felix comes goes

Today we are excited to introduce you to rising house and nu disco producer La Félix. The New Zealand-based musician has been building up a steady stream of groovy, disco-inspired dance tracks, leading to today’s premiere “Comes & Goes.” This single contrasts his previous, high-energy releases with a chilled out, breezy summer vibe.

I usually take a long time get all the elements together, but with ‘Comes & Goes’ everything came together very quickly and easily. I actually had a lot more instruments in there as well, but after playing around with it, I felt that it sounded best with everything stripped away, leaving it with just a handful of elements. – La Félix

La Félix’s use of minimal instrumentation pays off for the tune’s stripped-down atmosphere. Tight percussion and a funky bassline are interwoven with bright keys and airy female vocals. La Félix chops and subtly distorts the vocals, adding spacy pads and light acoustic guitar to finish out the track. Give a listen to this playful summer dance single below, courtesy of Mammal Sounds and enjoy!

Bondax Impress On Funky New Electronic R&B Single "Real Thing"

bondax

UK-based duo Bondax just dropped their new disco-inspired dance track “Real Thing” and it's just what we wanted from the young artists. Following up their funky dancefloor heater, “Neo Soul,” today’s tune is the duo’s first single from their forthcoming album Revolve. Bondax accompany the release of “Real Thing” with a cryptic music video that contrasts its chilled-out vibe.

“Real Thing” features soulful vocals from singer-songwriter Andreya Triana, who has collaborated with artists such as Flying Lotus and Bonobo in the past. Bondax flesh out the groovy single with funky bass, gliding strings, and subtle synth work. The dramatic music video leaves us questioning what’s real as one man dances around a house in various outfits, often arguing with himself or clenching his head in distress.

“Real Thing” delivers on every front with its clever video and upbeat musical progressions. Bondax will be dropping Revolve via Recur Recordings later this month on July 29. Check out the album’s first single and music video below and enjoy!
