PREMIERE | Newcomer Indie Duo Nightseason Brings Summer Vibes On Soothing Debut Track "Nothing Calms My Mind"

Nightseason nothing calms my mind

Here at TSIS we get excited whenever we hear talented new artists across different genres and are stoked premiere the debut track “Nothing Calms My Mind” from indie-rock newcomers Nightseason. Nightseason is a fresh new project combining the hip-hop percussion talents of Patrick Zeinali with the howling rock vocals of Jordan Caiola, who has racked up millions of plays as a part of alt-rock band Mo Lowda & The Humble. The result is a warm indie sound that packs a punch.

“Nothing Calms My Mind” grabs the listener’s attention from the start with a shimmering electronic synth that collapses into crisp drumbeat with rich vocals layered on top. A guitar melody gently plucks in the background, taking the occasional pause to let Jordan’s vocals shine. Sweeping, oscillating synths reappear throughout the track, adding to the track’s unique aesthetic.

Keep an eye out for much more from Nightseason this year. Enjoy!

PREMIERE | Belgian Trio YellowStraps Make TSIS Debut With Silky Smooth, Soulful R&B Single "Blame" Ft. VYNK

It’s our pleasure to welcome Belgian trio YellowStraps onto the site for the first time with the release of their chilled-out, funky single “Blame” ft. VYNK. The Brussels-based crew have a soft, jazzy vibe that sounds like sunshine on a spring day, and should resonate with fans of FKJ and Tom Misch.

“Blame” brings extra soulful soft, retro piano riffs, a crisp percussion and laid-back vocals together into a low-key track that’s ideal for a lazy Sunday afternoon. The mellow instrumental is accented with guitar riffs, trumpet solos, suave vocals, and VYNK’s keys to keep the listener hooked on the song’s silky smooth sound.

Stay tuned for more from YellowStraps as they gear up for their BLAME EP, out this year. Enjoy!

Mysterious REZZ Collaborator Knodis Shares Glitchy, Melodic New Original ”Voyager"

Knodis Voyager

We don’t know much about mysterious rising artist knodis besides that we love his heavy, sci-fi take on electronic music. He appeared out of nowhere last summer with the sinister collab “Premonition” off of REZZ’s debut album Mass Manipulation and has since captivated our attention with the release of his dark debut single “Broken Circuit” we had the pleasure of premiering and the uniquely intense track “The Machine Is Feeling”. Both tracks featured sustained, heavily distorted chords and experimental song structures that drew comparisons to REZZ and k?d while building knodis’s unique brand.

Voyager” is the third single from knodis and takes his sound down a maximalist, high-impact path he explored in the second half of “The Machine Is Feeling”. High-pitched melodies appear and break off instantly while steady bass kicks establish a steady foundation for the action-packed soundscape. Fans of k?d’s shimmering synth style will love this side of knodis. We asked knodis himself for his thoughts on the track, check them out below:

“voyager is a really special song to me and is the first one that shows the more melodic side of my music. i love the idea of combining the power and rawness of EDM sound design with the storytelling of vocal songwriting. at the end of the day, i want to end up with something that makes people feel something.” - Knodis

We definitely loved the way “Voyager” made us feel. Listen below and enjoy!
