Big Gigantic, Paper Diamond, and Robotic Pirate Monkey 20 Song Electronic Playlist: Sick Playlist featuring Dubstep/Electro/Jam Remixes and Originals

Today I’m excited to bring you a real sick 20 song playlist featuring a great mix of some exclusive and previously released remixes and originals from Colorado artists Big Gigantic, Paper Diamond, and Robotic Pirate Monkey. They all have their own sound pulling from various electronic genres, but none of them can really be confined a single one, but instead each artist strives to create their own genre. With these artists, and countless others like Pretty Lights, Savoy, String Cheese Incident, and so many more Colorado has really estabilished itself as it’s own music capitol in the past years. With all these artists collaborating and working together, and with everyone giving away their music for free, we’ve got an amazing community that is only starting to really explode. All three of these artists are playing CU’s Welcomefest, details below. It couldn’t be a better representation of the upcoming CO music scene. Check out this playlist, turn it up, enjoy!

ATTENTION CU FANS: Big Gigantic, Paper Diamond, and Robotic Pirate Monkey are going to be playing the 2011 C.U. Welcomefest (Back 2 School concert). It’s this Saturday August 19th, doors at 5, show at 6. It’s on Farrand Field, and only CU students will be allowed in, BuffOne card required. Official Facebook Event Here.

When I moved to Boulder to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder I got exposed to some of the sickest music around. My name is Nick Guarino and I love music and especially showing people new music. Making mix cd's for friends my whole life led to the founding of Thissongissick.com with which I hope to broaden everyone's musical taste beyond the radio. There is a large amount of freely distributed music that far too little people know about. This site showcases and debuts some of best up and coming as well as already established artists, rappers, DJ's, producers and more. Through the process TSIS has found it self focusing on exposing the electronic and hip hop music scenes. Check out some music you've never heard, I'm sure you'll find some songs that are pretty sick. Enjoy!
