Cherub – Man of the Hour EP : Must Hear New Electronic Indie Pop Album (For Fans of MGMT)

Today I’m really excited to give you guys a real amazing free released from  new group out of Nashville, two piece Cherub. I caught these incredibly talented guys at this year’s Electric Forrest where they were playing a secret set with Michal Menert, Two Fresh, and Elliot Lipp in the Good Life camping area late night. The unannounced secret late night 3am set made me a fan of the group. Then Elm & Oak asked me to team up for the release of this ep, and after one listen through I was hooked. They’ve got an amazing solid unique sound, that reminds me slightly of MGMT. Not sure what genre you’d call this, maybe Electronic Indie Pop. Whatever it is, it’s great, and I’ve been listening to it at all times of the day. Check it out, try something new. Enjoy!

Got to see these guys at the unannounced late night show as well. They’ve got a good sound and know how to rock a party. Nice post.

When I moved to Boulder to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder I got exposed to some of the sickest music around. My name is Nick Guarino and I love music and especially showing people new music. Making mix cd's for friends my whole life led to the founding of Thissongissick.com with which I hope to broaden everyone's musical taste beyond the radio. There is a large amount of freely distributed music that far too little people know about. This site showcases and debuts some of best up and coming as well as already established artists, rappers, DJ's, producers and more. Through the process TSIS has found it self focusing on exposing the electronic and hip hop music scenes. Check out some music you've never heard, I'm sure you'll find some songs that are pretty sick. Enjoy!
