G-Eazy – Mercedes Benz (The American Dream) (Ft. Janis Joplin) : Hip Hop Song With Great Sample

Posted in Chill by nick | Tags: , , , , , ,

Today I’ve got a real sick single from G-Eazy, the Cali based rapper who brought you one of the best mixtapes of the year so far, The Endless Summer is back with another track with the same vibe. It’s got a classic sample feel, mixed with his unique flow, always smooth. The story he tells in the song is much deeper than what most rappers manage to tell these days. The point he makes is a good one. Whether we come from money or not we all want it. It’s refreshing to hear about the struggle for money, which we all go through, rather than just rapping about spending it, which is harder for everybody to relate to. G-Eazy has been on his grind all summer releasing single; Well known (Ft. Kam Royal), and an Amazing Video This is one of those tracks that just doesn’t get old. Download and enjoy!

This doesn’t deserve to be on the same track as Janis! She’s a legend, G-Eazy is a half-assed rapper. That’s not to say it should never be remixed, just that G-Eazy did it absolutely no justice!

When I moved to Boulder to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder I got exposed to some of the sickest music around. My name is Nick Guarino and I love music and especially showing people new music. Making mix cd's for friends my whole life led to the founding of Thissongissick.com with which I hope to broaden everyone's musical taste beyond the radio. There is a large amount of freely distributed music that far too little people know about. This site showcases and debuts some of best up and coming as well as already established artists, rappers, DJ's, producers and more. Through the process TSIS has found it self focusing on exposing the electronic and hip hop music scenes. Check out some music you've never heard, I'm sure you'll find some songs that are pretty sick. Enjoy!
