Lil Wayne – Green & Yellow: SICK NEW FREESTYLE

So I’ve posted a few different versions of this song, one on the best of mixtape The Chronic 2010, the BANGER DJ Kue remix, and my personal favorite the Big Gigantic / Samples remix. Now none other then Lil Wayne decided to do his own version, but instead of for the Pittsburgh Steelers, he made one in spirit of the Greenbay Packers. And it’s basically exactly what you would expect from Weezy going in over the Black and Yellow beat. He’s got his signature flow and some ridiculous lyrics. I like it a lot, but I’m also a fan of almost everything the man comes out with. Who are you going for in Sunday’s big game? Check this out and enjoy!

Black and Yellow is supposedly about the Steelers, but where’s the lyrics to back it up. There’s nothing about the team or the players. At least Weezy makes references to the players and the Superbowl. It’s not a great version of the song, but the timing is perfect and it’s entertaining.

black and yellow isn’t just about the steelers, it’s about pittsburgh in general. wiz’s flow isnt elementary, he’s just got a different style. but forreal, people need to hop off his dick on black and yellow, it isn’t his best song and it’s sooo overplayed

I personally thought this song was clownin. The lyrics are fresh just like Weezy does, and I found myself laughing throughout this track. Not really caring who wins this Sunday, I appreciated this track for its humor and how it provides an ‘anthem’ for some Packers fans! Wayne is just reppin’ who he wants to rep, get off his shit about it.

Okay first thing i have to say is this is garbage. Second off Lil Wayne is from New Orleans. This is understandable though cause i’d be embarassed if my team lost to 7-9 Seattle Seahawks in the first round. Third off if you think Wiz’s flow is elementary obviously you havent heard any of his other songs. This was meant to be pop of course it’s elementary. Finally Lil Wayne is just a horrible rapper in general who puts bitches, and niggas after every line.

Wiz is great! Just because his beats and flow is better than sean kingston, doesn’t mean that you have to try and bring him down. Black and Yellow was his first release after signing with Atlantic Records, you know.. the label that signed Flo Rida and Sean Paul. Anyways, Wiz is great regardless of his label. Go listen to This Plane and The Thrill, if those don’t tickle your fancy, then there’s no help for you.

I am a big fan of Wiz, but I think Black & Yellow has gotten way too much popularity. And I still cannot stand Lil Wayne; he is a terrible rapper in my opinion. This is not a good song, and I think it gives the Packers a bad name. Haha.

If you people didnt know therere are probably like 100 different versions of black and yellow out there right now, and most of them really are garbage. Appreciate this as a fan track by Wayne. He’s a packer fan. I appreciate it for what it is and appreciate the love for Wisconsin as a Milwaukee native.

We don’t have much to love up here except the Packers! Other states and teams fans don’t understand. Wisconsin lives packer football. It’s cold, flat, the people are fat, and Packer footbal keeeps us happy 365 days a year. What else is there, the Bucks?
Green Bay is the epitome of an underdog. Smallest U.S. professional sport venue, for any sport. 66% of the Green Bay population fits in the stadium. It’s a team everyone can love for good reasons.

Really, try brain storming other things to rap about in a song about the Packers. I think he did a pretty good job, the flow is aight but it’s not like he made this track thinking he’d make money off it.
