Lupe Fiasco – LightWork (Ft. Ellie Goulding & Bassnectar) : New Hip Hop Remix Over Dubstep

Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: , , , , , , , , ,

Lupe Fiasco just went in on one of the biggest remixes in the past year, and it turned out sick. He went in over Bassnectar’s anthem remix to Ellie Goulding’s ‘Lights’. The track is the same remix, with Lupe adding some brief words during the intro, and the kills it when it drops. It’s cool to see the hip hop and electronic worlds colliding everyday. Turn up the bass, enjoy!

Would’ve been good if the person who did the remix didn’t tag it obnoxiously.

This could have been sick if someone good like Eminem went in instead of Lupe, he could have just doubled down on the tempo and gone ape shit. Lupe can’t handle a beat this slow that requires him to go that fast for it to sound good.

When I moved to Boulder to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder I got exposed to some of the sickest music around. My name is Nick Guarino and I love music and especially showing people new music. Making mix cd's for friends my whole life led to the founding of Thissongissick.com with which I hope to broaden everyone's musical taste beyond the radio. There is a large amount of freely distributed music that far too little people know about. This site showcases and debuts some of best up and coming as well as already established artists, rappers, DJ's, producers and more. Through the process TSIS has found it self focusing on exposing the electronic and hip hop music scenes. Check out some music you've never heard, I'm sure you'll find some songs that are pretty sick. Enjoy!
