Mac Miller – Smile Back : Real Sick New Hip Hop Track + Video

Posted in Chill by nick | Tags: , , , , ,

Today I’ve got the second single following up Frick Prick Market off Mac Miller’s upcoming Blue Slide Park coming out November 8th. It’s pretty wild to see the underground mixtape driven rapper turn into  a mainstream success, with out a record label. This track has got a more mainstream friendly beat and sound, yet maintains that Mac Miller style you love. This is really the start of the new more mature Mac Miller, and I think it’s apparent he’s here to stay. Check it out, turn it up, enjoy!

  • This is a song he’s allowed to distribute but not put a D/L for legal reasons

  • this is decent but i like his other stuff because its really not mainstream at all, I dont mind his growing mainstream popularity, but thats no excuse to sound like everybody else. Either keep your old style you invented or move on to something new but whatever style you put out, make sure its still your own.

  • He is actually signed to Rostrum Records (Same label as Wiz Khalifa) But it is nice to still see the kid come up…

Story

My story has changed quite a lot since moving to Boulder, Colorado and starting Thissongissick back in 2010. My name is Nick Guarino and this is Thissongissick.com. We've grown a lot since, but the original goal has always stayed the same: making it easier for you to discover sick new music that you've never heard before. In high school I would make mix cd's for my friends to show them all the new music I was discovering. Now, through TSIS, we work with musicians and record labels from all over the world to showcase a variety of the freshest electronic, hip-hop, indie, and alternative music to a global following that is comprised of millions of music lovers in over 110 countries - every single month. So, make yourself at home while enjoying countless amazing musicians from a variety of genres and let the sick sounds fill your ears! - Nick
