Coachella 2012 Lineup

So this dropped last night.. and wow… now that should please just about everybody. Well still not sure how I feel about them recreating the same festival for two weekends in a row. But I defintely can’t miss it, and you can count on me and part of the TSIS team to be out there, for at least one, maybe both weekends

For the electronic world, it’s got Swedish House Mafia, Afrojack, Avicii, David Guetta, Kaskade, Madeon, Martin Solveig, Justice, Calvin Harris, Nero, Dada Life, Porter Robinson, Datsik, Alesso, Flux Pavillion, Girl Talk, Dj Shadow, Zeds Dead, Noisia, and so many more. On top of the live bands; Radiohead, The Black Keys, Bon Iver, The Shins, Florence + The Machine, La Roux, and countless others. Then for the headliner that might turn the most heads, Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg headlining the third day.

For those of you unaware, Coachella is one of the nations biggest music festival with anticipated numbers of over 90,000 people per day. It takes place in Coachella valley, California, and has grown to become one of the nation’s biggest parties. Their website is crashed, I’m guessing because of traffic overload, will update with info and ticket links soon

The Knocks – The Prize (Jakob Liedholm X The Knocks Remix) : New Swedish House / Indie Remix

The Knocks are a group that I’ve been continuing to see more and more remixes of. Their poppy indie sound is perfect forgetting reworked into dubstep and house BANGERS. Well now we get a Avicii styled house anthem of their track ‘The Prize’. This remix is done by newcomer Jakob Liedholm.Liedholm is a very young 15 year old swedish house producer that is extremely talented. Being that young, and having a sound as good as this, should lead to a very bright future (Watch out Avicii). The piano, vocals, melodies, and bass all work together so well to create a great house anthem. They through me the instrumental as well, so DJ’s and producers have fun with it. Enjoy!

Today I’ve 3 amazing new bootleg mashups from 3LAU, all featuring Rihanna’s ‘I Found Love’ vocals. He made a Big Room version, a heavy electro Knife Party version, and a softer progressive version. All 3 version of the track work pretty well, and I feel each will suit a different fan. 3LAU has got to be the best bootleg / mashup artist out there, making tracks that sound as good as the original. Today we get the latest massive remix from Paper Diamond. It was about this time last year that he dropped his HUGE remix of Kanye West – Power, which put him on a lot of peoples radarss. Well he’s made a variety of other huge remixes, on top of his latest single ‘Can We Go Up’ and the Levitate EP. Well he’s been brewing up something sick, and decided to take on one of the recent tracks off The Weeknd – Echoes Of Silence release.  He took ‘Same Old Song’, the mellowed out down tempo track and pumped it full of his feel good electronic energy. He’s got that funky Colorado sound that really gets across in every track. Turn it up, enjoy!

GRiZ – Shogun : Must Hear Filthy Funky Dubstep BANGER

Getting news about a new GRiZ track is like hearing you’ve got a christmas present coming, that you already know is going to be amazing. He never seems to disappoint me with every track and remix. Today I’ve got his first venture into the super heavy styled dubstep. It’s called Shogun, and it’s pretty epic. It’s cool seeing GRiZ jump around from genre to genre, and doing it well. His Kanye West Moombahton remix was so catchy, and now he makes this. The drop really reminds me of the heavy Doctor P sound, and continues being sick all the way through. Cant’ even wait for what’s next, I hear he’s got a full album coming soon. Turn it up, enjoy!
