We get another track off Ellie Goulding’s upcoming Halcyon, following up “Anything Can Happen” and “I Know You More”,  another incredibly ballad. Ellie’s powerful voice get carried out beatifully by the bass heavy intricate elecontronic production. Wonder if we’ll see some sort of collaboration with her boyfriend Skrillex, or at least a remix of one of her new tracks. Look out for Halcyon on October 9th, enjoy!

For those unfamiliar, here’s Iggy Azalea, one of the freshest new female rappers out there. She basically does what Kreayshawn was going for… But born in Australia. Captures that hood girl image, complete with skillful flow and and amazing beat. I can’t remember what sample the drop is from, comment below if know. Crystal Castles – (III) (New Album) : New Album Release + 2 Free Electronic / Indie Singles ‘Wrath of God’ + ‘Plague’

Crystal Castles.. the mysterious slightly eerie electronic experimental duo from Toronoto, Canada composed of singer Alice Glass and producer / DJ Eathan Kath have announced their third album,  (III), will be released everywhere November 6th, and also released the album artwork, see above. The album overall has a more dark and depressing tone.

Hear are some words from the singer Alice:

“A lot of bad things have happened to people close to me since ‘II’ and it’s profoundly influenced my writing as I’ve realized there will never be justice for them,” Glass says in a statement. “I didn’t think I could lose faith in humanity any more than I already had, but after witnessing some things, it feels like the world is a dystopia where victims don’t get justice and corruption prevails. I’m one step away from being a vigilante to protect people and bring justice to the people I love. I’ve thought about it.”

We also get to listen and download two tracks from the album, as released by the group themselves. “Wrath of God”  and “Plague” both illustrate the darker tone as described by Alice, packed with more emotion then ever. Enjoy!

Here’s a nice chilled out cover to start the day, or wind down for some parts of the world. It’s the start of a new cover series by the duo Aer, where they cover some of their favorite songs. The first of the series covers “Two Coins” by Vermont based band Dispatch. They do the cover very well, giving it their youthful edge.
