Today we have a pretty loaded post. First off is the premiere of a brand new Big Gigantic song titled ‘Let’s Go!’. The anthem begins with the classic climatic Big G buildup leading into their more Rowdy newer sound. It has a real dirty drop with sax blasting right beside it, capturing their old sound fused with a newer edge. Also the big day is almost here, Rowdytown…the day that Big Gigantic takes over the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater to headline for their first time ever sponsored by Thissongissick. Well it’s been recently announced that they will be using Projection Mapping on the actual side of the Red Rocks (look at the picture above) done by Ghost Pixels, a Colorado company. It’s like Amon Tobin but on a HUGE natural rock that’s on the side of you watching the stage, at one of the coolest venues in the world. Buy Tickets

My story has changed quite a lot since moving to Boulder, Colorado and starting Thissongissick back in 2010. My name is Nick Guarino and this is Thissongissick.com. Big gigantic has been my favorite edm group since i was introduced to them. Rowdytown would be my first show and being from wyoming i dont have many opportunities to go to shows. Rowdy: (r-Ow-dee) [Adjective] A tendency to dance like no one is looking. Waving your arms around to the funky sounds of some EDM fused with Sexaphone. Coming back to counscienceness at the end of the show, dripping in sweat surrounded by all sorts of people who are just like yourself in the sense that they know what going to an EDM show at Red Rocks feels like. Making friends because of your “noodle-arm” dance moves, continuing the party at the mansion party down the street from the venue and walking back to your car in the parking lot at 7am to the sight of the sun coming up over the mountains of Denver.

I’ve seen you perform a handful of times now, and it gets better each time. It’s an emotional experience really- the beautiful sounds of Dom’s smooth sax mixed with Jeremy’s heavy bangin’ drums are a force to be reckoned with. Big Gigantic is an experience, and a rowdy one at that. I would love NOTHING more than to ~Get My Rowdy On~ at Rowdytown with you boys in your beautiful home state.
