BoomBox consists of two DJ, live muscians who take live band elements and try and deliver them in a way fit for dancing. They have an indie rock sound with some electronic elements. Here is the premiere of their new song “Lost Ya”, which takes you away to a care free summer state of mind that lets me feel like I am at the start of a camping festival.   • […] Mixing elements of funk, rock and electro, American group Boombox delivers their first single of 2013 with “Lost Ya.” This is the first chance I’ve had to listen to the group, consisting of producer/DJ/songwriter/multi-instrumentalists Russ Randolph and Zion Rock Godchaux (whose parents both performed with The Grateful Dead from 1971 to 1979) and I like their indie-rock mentality, which reminds me of jamming out to day bands during the summer festivals.
