Some of the best remixes are those taking genres out of their expected guidelines and that's exactly what we get with a surprising remix of "Jolene" originally by Dolly Parton. The exploding disco force coming out of Norway, Todd Terje has been on fire and this is the first time he makes an appearance on TSIS. He takes the iconic country song and reimagines it at a near 6 minute disco meets house remix that is unbelievably refreshing. Todd has made this available as a free download, in full WAV form for all the DJs. Listen below and enjoy!

There is little known about the next Kendrick Lamar album, but now we can expect it's release soon following Kendrick's recent tweet with a link to the iTunes preorder having a 3/23 release date. This will be the highly anticipated follow up to his platinum-selling, grammy nominated Good Kid M.A.A.D. City that served as his major label debut in late 2012. The album is titled "Untitled" and we know will include "Blacker the Berry".
UPDATE: Kendrick has confirmed the album artwork and album title are both placeholders until the actual artwork and title are revealed.
From his extra heavy music choice, to his energy filled sets and metal like hair and headbanging, Bassnectar is without a doubt the metalhead rock figure within the electronic world. This makes this newest bit of news all the more fitting as Bassnectar just shared a photo of himself with Tom Morello of iconic rock metal band Rage Against The Machine in the studio with the caption:
"In the studio with Tom Morello, raging against machines!!!"
He has played various bass infused metal bootlegs over the years, even including a remix of Rage's "Killing In The Name Of" in his live sets, so this is quite a natural collaboration. As we sit and patiently wait for whatever magic the two have cooked up you can get an idea of what it might sound like by listening to Bassnectar's remix of "Seek & Destroy" by Metallica below.
Last year A-Trak's Fools Gold label signed up and coming producer Hoodboi to their roster, and now this LA based producer is prepping for his debut label release. Today we get the title track of his forthcoming "Palm Reader EP” and is a collaboration with Norwegian beat maestro Lido. This track is a smooth, melodic masterpiece combining future bass and trap elements with sexy R&B-esque vocal samples, pleasant horns, and flawless percussion that changes speed throughout. Hoodboi’s Palm Reader EP will be released March 24th and is comprised of original tracks straying away from his typical Jersey Club remixes he got on the map with. Listen to the song below, and enjoy!

Louis Futon has had quite an eventful 2015 so far, with a hugely successful self-titled Louis Futon EP released as a free download alongside two huge remixes of both ODESZA and Just A Gent. Today the new music continues as he takes on breakout rapper G-Eazy and his single "Let's Get Lost" from his #1 studio album which features smooth vocals from Devon Baldwin.
He completely reimagines the song, layering in some unbelievable new drums that set the tone for the track. Future bass, trap, and even some house elements are all fused with a defined hip-hop edge for a genre explosion that you won't be able to stop listening to. The result reminds me of Louis' career starting bootleg of Mos Def's "Ms. Fat Booty" in the best way possible. Looks like there is a limited free download so grab it while available. Enjoy!

Los Angeles rapper Kid Ink continues to make a name for himself and today his single "Be Real" ft. Dej Loaf has received the remix it was calling for. Sydney based producer Wax Motif who we heard on "Since I Left You" and TSIS regular, LA artists Gladiator, have joined forces stepping out of their usual territory and putting a future house remix on the song. The track has been given an upbeat dance facelift with heavy hitting percussion and a thumping bassline that will smash clubs and fests all year long. While experimenting with the new style, the artists manage to still convey their signature ghetto bass styles. Listen to the premiere below and look out for your own copy on Beatport later this month. Enjoy!

After teasing "All Day", the newest Kanye West track that was debuted at the Brit Awards live last week has been leaked in full quality. This song is the second off his forthcoming still very mysterious new studio album So Help Me God, which we now have the artwork for, above. This song featuring some nicely placed vocal features from Allan Kingdom, Theophilus London and even some whistling from Paul McCartney (Which apparently warrants getting a feature when you are that big). Not every Kanye West song is one you can replay endlessly, but this is definitely of them. Listen to the newly leaked full version below, enjoy!

Last fall Diplo and his Mad Decent crew set out to the seas for their first ever cruise ship, the fittingly titled Mad Decent Boat Party. The 4 day long event went down in history as some of the most ratchet, out of control, and equally epic days for all those who had ever attended, including some of our team. Well the Norwegian Pearl cruiselines have somehow let Diplo and his crew take the boat over once more.
The 2015 edition of the Mad Decent Boat Party will be departing from Miami on November 11th and the ship will set course to the brand new private beach of Cozumel, Mexico and will return on November 15th.
The lineup this year is also somehow even better featuring headliners Jack Ü, Diplo, Skrillex, Dillon Francis, Flosstradamus, ILoveMakkonen, Major Lazer, Thomas Jack, A-Trak, G-Eazy and many more others including Alison Wonderland, Ape Drums, Borgore, Brazzabelle, Brillz, Brunch Bounce, Chris Lorenzo, Dirty South Joe, Eli & Fur, ETC!ETC!, Gent & Jawns, Giraffage, Grandtheft, Hayden James, HoodboiJauz, Jubilee, Keys N Krates, Lunice, Martin Solveig, Mija, MØ, Nadastrom, Oliver Heldens, Party Favor, Paul Devro, Sam Feldt, Shash'U, Skrillex, Smalltown DJS, Snakehips, TJR, Torro Torro, Troyboi, TWRK, and more!
Everyone who went last year has already booked cabins for this year, and convinced all their friends to do the same. It's going to be selling out far in advanced this year, so if you can make it work, do whatever you can to make it out for this year. Pre-book your cabins now while they are still available. We hope to see you all out on the boat this year!
Today we are happy to present a new act going by Karma Fields who reached out to us about a new song "Build The Cities" featuring Kerli on the vocals. Following in the same path as Zhu and other mysterious acts, little is known about Karma Fields other than they've created this fresh dance song that borders the deeper side of electro and house with a very melodic twist. "Build The Cities" will take you on a rollercoaster ride that you won't want to stop. We have word the track first appeared in an alleged hacking of the Monstercat live stream, the same record label that has released the track.
