Australian taste-making beatmaker / producer Ta-Ku manages to blow us away with each and every new production. Last month we featured his first single "Love Again", off his upcoming EP Songs To Make Up To, which included soulful vocals from JMSN and co-production from Sango. With today’s newest release, “Long Time No See”, he’s partnered up with another amazing Soulection artist named Atu to create a more chilled out, smooth production. Starting out slowly on the piano, the track glides through the air with a chilling ambiance to it, breaking in drums, hi-hats and samples mid-way, layered together to create a very emotional, feel good track. You can stream the tune below and pre-order Songs To Make Up To which is set to release June 12th.

Australian overnight superstar Flume has kept relatively quiet in terms of new music, with the exceptions of his remix of Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down” and the single "Gemini" as a part of What So Not . Well, today we get the first new original from him since his Drop The Game EP with Chet Faker.
This new single “Some Minds” features vocals from Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow, creating the perfect collaboration of sounds. Flume provides an incredible yet relatively tame signature sounding song until just after the 3 minute mark when he proceeds to drop an unexpected bass heavy section that produces the perfect edge to the song you had no idea was missing till you heard it.
The video was done in partnership with Sydney Opera House, where they were granted exclusive permission to shoot this visually stunning piece. We see Flume as the star, along with some amazing choreographed dancers. All this is released in cohesion of his sold out shows at the Sydney Opera House on May 29th and 30th.

There is little known about up and coming LA artist Gallant, apart from the fact that he is the first label mate with ZHU on Mind of a Genius. He’s been making some serious waves with new breakout singles “Open Up” and “Talking In Your Sleep,” and now he’s back at it with a cover of Foo Fighter’s popular classic “Learn To Fly.” Gallant really makes the song his own by reimagining and recreating the tune with soft, minimal production. He even sings with higher notes than the original; his incredibly soulful vocals making for a uniquely beautiful cover that sounds very different from the original. Keep an eye on this rising artist and enjoy!

The Weeknd has been fairly quiet since the release of his first true radio breakout “Earned It,” which was originally for the 50 Shades Of Grey soundtrack. Abel has now unleashed a brand new track titled “The Hills” alongside a music video that has been previously performed live, and was thought to be titled “Mood Music.”
The Weeknd never fails to deliver captivating music videos and this latest video is no exception. Eerie, dark visuals set the tone perfectly for the song. Abel emerges from a car crash, which then engulfs in a fiery explosion while he walks away from the crash as he offers his explicit, sensual crooning until he ultimately ends up in a strange bedroom with multiple women. Enjoy.
We are happy to bring some new faces to the TSIS audience, Texas band The Oh Hellos who have been making some waves in the folk world and today we have a remix of their single "Like The Dawn" from German based producer David K that is an unexpected blend of styles that works so well. David takes the tropical / deep house approach taking full advantage of highlighting the smooth guitar strumming as the focus of the remix with some added subtle drums and light chords that pave way for The Oh Hello's singer Maggie and her amazing vocals to shine just right. Stream the full song below and you can pick up your copy via iTunes now.
