"Two Nights Under The Starlit Skies In The Majestic Colorado Mountains"
Pretty Lights, one of the most influential faces in live electronic music, and Colorado's hero, always continues to keep his fans guessing with unexpected twists every single year. Last year he managed to work with the Colorado Symphony to have them play with him for his last two nights at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre.. a venue he's been selling out for over 4 years now. He has headlined festivals all across the world and played in the smallest and biggest of cities. This week he has revealed some very exciting, and long awaited news, the first ever true Pretty Lights camping event. The guy has been dominating the camping festival circuit for years now, so it only made sense.
He has chosen the gorgeous location of Telluride, Colorado, and specifically the Telluride Town Park, out in the open right next to the gorgeous Rocky Mountains as close as you can get to the stars. He is set takeover the amazing outdoor location over August 28th and 29th this summer where he will be making history.
This is what Derek Vincent Smith aka Pretty Lights has to say about the special 2 day gathering:
"I've thought a lot about what a perfect place to throw a Pretty Lights concert might be, and what that actually means. I think that Telluride Town Park might be a place like that. The energy that resonates there is beyond the cusp of my own understanding but it is powerful and undeniable. I think that the seclusion of Telluride creates a real opening to focus on getting in touch.. with each other, ourselves, and the vibrations we experience as music, light, and life. PLUS the stars shine incredibly bright and the mountains are jaw dropping. These two nights in Telluride will be an awesome and historic opportunity to experience a live Pretty Lights show in what may be the perfect venue,"
You can purchase tickets to this special, extremely unique event through here on Feb 27th.

Ultra Music Festival in Miami is a pinnacle electronic dance event every year, and the festival promoters are kings of building hype with their trailers and after movies. They have just released a brand new 2 minute video that features what sounds like a familiar new favorite artist. We hear Kygo’s signature upbeat melodies and extra smooth percussion elements that couldn’t be anyone but him.
Last year the festival featured his remix of Syn Cole's "Miami 82", so it is very fitting to debut a new song this year to the trailer for 2015.
They have labeled the song as "ID – ID", but we think it has to be Kygo with his unmistakable sound. Comment with your thoughts below!
UPDATE: So the song yesterday was in fact Kygo. The song is now available to hear in full via Spotify.

The trendsetter of the tropical house sound along with Kygo, the growing Aussie star Thomas Jack, continues to keep things fresh with his latest exciting announcement. He has just unleashed the news that he will perform his longest DJ set to date on February 19th at New York's increasingly infamous club Output. This will actually be the longest set to ever take place at the relatively new club. These overly extended sets seem to be a trend amongst the best of the underground DJs and it is impressive to see Tom taking up the challenge.
