Today I’ve got the latest free release from Pretty Lights Music. It’s Monolith Code by Break Science. We featured the ‘Victory‘ off it last week, and couldn’t wait for the full thing. Wick-it The Instigator – Grindhouse Basterds : Must Hear Mashup Album Sampling Quentin Tarantino Films

Pulling from the world-renowned genius of filmmaker Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs, and Inglorious Basterds), Wick-It The Instigator has created a masterpiece of a mash up album if I have ever heard one. His ability to use classic hip-hop and movie samples instantly gave me a vibe only comparable to that of Pretty Lights. And I do not say that lightly. While it is labeled as a mash up album, The Instigator creates most of the sounds and synths on his own while taking lyrics from greats like Notorious B.I.G, Murs, Slug, Aesop Rock, and even more.  I picked out a few of my favorites from the album but make sure to grab the whole thing!

W.E.E.D. – We Evolve Every Day E.P. : Must Hear Dubstep / Acoustic Hip Hop Album [TSIS Premiere]

Today I’ve got a real sick new We Evolve Every Day EP from W.E.E.D., the new project featuring Shwayze, singer Mark Rosas, and a secret guest you’ll find out about later. We featured Summertime and Scrooge McDuck from Ep already. They’ve a real cool collaborative hip hop sound with some dubstep tracks, some laid back acoustic track, and some sexy weed smoking tracks. It’s a pretty diverse EP ranging all over, with 2 rappers and singer, and great production. All of the artists goal with this project is to spread good music for free, we’re very stoked to be apart of it. They made a limited T-Shirt with the graphic available here. Big Gigantic – Nocturnal (Full Album Official Release) : Must Hear Full Electronic Album

Today I’ve got an extra special release, Nocturnal, the latest full album from Big Gigantic. This is following up their A Place Behind The Moon album, and a variety of remixes throughout the past year. I’ve been waiting on Nocturnal for months ever since I heard the first glimpse of it with Rise and Shine used on their Red Rocks video. Then I heard the second single Nocturnal, which got me even more excited for the album of the same name. Now after listening to Nocturnal a few times all the way through, I can defintely say it’s in a league of it’s own. It combines the soulful funk elements of live jazz with the crushing edgy bass filled electronic sounds which has hints of dubstep, yet is really it’s own genre in itself. The unique and extremely fresh hybrid sound powered by the live energy of Dominic Lalli playing the Sax and Jeremy Salken on Drums really creates something that is here to stay. I’ve included a few of my favorites, but I can’t stress how great this album is all the way through. Enjoy!

The Weeknd – Echoes Of Silence : Amazing Electronic Fueled Chill Mixtape

Starting to hack at the pile of amazing releases that I didn’t post that came out next year, first up Echoes of Silence. Canadian based singer and producer The Weeknd creates an electronic powered R&B sound that really shows how musically talented he is I don’t know what to call this, other then melodic and insanely chill. It really sets a mood as you listen to it. I didn’t know I liked R&B until I listened to this, those who might not check out something like this, give it a chance, this guys got some serious raw talent. Enjoy!

Today I’ve got the latest entire mashup album from 5 & A Dime, the guy who brought the vidoe to the single #BASSMOB. 5 & A Dime does a great job and combining a bunch of vocals that you know blended with that crunchy electronic goodness, so it was only fitting that TSIS sponsor the tape.
