[PREMIERE] Jack Ü – Where Are Ü Now (Ember Island Cover) (Flaxo Remix) : Chill Trap / Indie [Free Download]

Jack U Flaxo Where are U Now resize

Diplo and Skrillex's collaborative single "Where Are Ü Now" as Jack Ü' also featuring Justin Bieber continues to make waves worldwide letting both artists step into the pop world like never before.

Well today we get to hear an unexpected remix of the song which uses the acoustic cover version of the song from Ember Island as the base. Flaxo, a TSIS regular who's brought us remixes of Bingo Players "Knock You Out" and Yellow Claw's "Shotgun" has stepped up to the plate. He layers in new melodies, exciting percussion elements and a guitar and horn filled drop that make just enough room for Ember Island's vocals to lay on top perfectly. Stream the premiere of the song below and grab a free download. Enjoy!

Here are some words from Flaxo himself on the remix

""I stumbled on this Ember Island cover of the Jack U/Bieber collab Where Are U Now and fell in love instantly. I've been experimenting with some different rhythmic formats and different instrumental styles that incorporated some more organic drumming and basslines with more "synthetic" stuff and when this fell on my lap I thought it made perfect sense to take some of the more uplifting, organic material I had written and put it together with this really vulnerable, personal vocal cut from them. It's intended for moments on a train or a bus where you forget where you are for a sec and you think back to something that happened 5 years ago."

We've also been informed Flaxo has an original EP in the works so be on the lookout.

[PREMIERE] Kanye West & The Weeknd Come Together For “Feel Stronger” Carlos Serrano Mix [Free Download]

Kanye_West_The_Weeknd

Last year we heard the unlikely pairing of Kanye West and Sam Smith on "Tell Me I'm The Only One" which was seamlessly mixed by Carlos Serrano

This time around The Weeknd and his recent radio smash "Can't Feel My Face" acts as the instrumental and vocal accompaniment for Kanye West's iconic "Stronger" vocals to sit perfectly over. Like all of the edits from the bootleg maestro Carlos Serrano, this will have you wondering why both artists haven't worked on something original yet. You can also hear some guest saxophone playing from TSIS regular Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic.

Listen below to the premiere of the song and grab a free download thanks to Carlos Serrano. Enjoy!

RoyalRemixes3000finalresize

Rising collaborative duo Hotel Garuda have established themselves as a group to keep an eye on as the respective producers Manila Killa and Candle Weather and have done some impressive work on their own. Their recent cover / remix of Kanye’s iconic “All Of The Lights” allowed their unique style to shine and showcased what this duo has to offer.

Royal's "Passenger" is the title track off his recent EP that we premiered earlier this year, and now it's received a melodic deep house remix highlighting the original’s pleasant vocals. This new remix showcases their mellow, sexy style as rhythmic hi-hats lay underneath the original vocals and deep house aesthetic bassline comes in and drops out allowing for quavering synths and melodic xylophone lines to close out this sensual remix. Continue to keep an eye on this duo as they show no signs of slowing down anytime soon and be sure to check the entire remix package out for free and for sale on iTunes via rising label Octal Sound. Enjoy

SummerMix1

TSIS regulars Big Gigantic are in the middle of quite an impressive festival run that started earlier this year back at Ultra and has not stopped since with an epic closing set at Electric Forest recently (along with a surprise sunrise RV set). Well they have decided to indulge in the summer spirit and hit us up to debut a brand new 60 minute long Summer Mixtape. The mix features a very nice mixture of old and new summer ready tracks spanning from classics like Pretty Lights' "Finally Moving" to Big G's new collaboration with SNAILS, "Funk With Me". There are also two mysterious "ID" tracks in the mix, the first one sounds like a remix of Zedd's new song "Beautiful Now" featuring Jon Bellion done by an unknown remixer (Possibly Big G?). The second unknown track is just a few songs later, and truly sounds like the new GRiZ x Big Gigantic collaboration that they have been teasing during recent live shows.

The Mixtape comes on the heels of the band’s announcement of their fall North American headlining “Get On Up” tour, featuring support from The Floozies on most dates which you can find all dates below and a limited amount of pre-sale tickets through TSIS ticketing here.

This tour starts just days after the group's annual party at Red Rocks that TSIS presents, ROWDYTOWN IV the fourth installment of their massive hometown experience at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Set for Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26, “ROWDYTOWN IV” will again feature projection mapping visuals on the venue’s famous rocks and will be supported by amazing lineups each night featuring Thomas Jack, Jauz, and DeFunk on Friday (9/25) and RL Grime, Snails, and Two Fresh on Saturday (9/26).  This is looking to be the best Rowdytown yet. Don't miss out before this year sells out like the past Three. You can buy tickets here for this must attend 2 day event.
