Widely popular, hip-hop duo Atmosphere manage to maintain their underground sound with every release and are back with a brand new single called "This Lonely Rose," and they've brought a few friends along with them, Aesop Rock and Blueprint.
Rapper of the duo Slug offers his signature story-telling prose we've come to love while Aesop Rock holds down the fast paced lyricism and Blueprint delivers his emotive flow to round out the track. Ant offers his signature style of production with funky guitar rhythms and the golden era hip-hop sounding drums. Enjoy!
All three of these rappers will be playing at Rhymesayers 20th anniversary concert at Target Center in Minneapolis on December 4th. Grab tickets here.

It's always a tricky subject when attempting to alter classic songs from musical icons, but Brooklyn based KAMAU has stepped up and done exactly that. He's chosen Outkast's hit "Hey Ya!" and truly re-created it with a full live band, pairing it with a well done video as well.
Layering violins, bass, piano, acapella singing, and more, this cover brings a more soulful feel to the song we all love and has got us wondering more about KAMAU. Channeling his inner Andre 3000, KAMAU’s nails the cover with his soulful singing / rapping hybrid. Check out the video below and enjoy!

We recently heard Lido's Passion Project EP collaboration with unknown singer Santell. We saw him step away from dance production on this EP and now he's back with another sensual single.
This new one "Here (Thoughts From a Tour Bus)" takes on Alessia Cara's hit single "Here" for a cover version that holds its own. Lido offers his own vocals on this track, showing his versatility as a musician. This track was put up on an alternate Soundcloud account after his account was frozen and Lido expressed his frustrations on Twitter. Stream below and enjoy!
