Then on Saturday we have OM Records / Lavish Habits kicking the day off with Goldroom, Giraffage, Body Language, Volta Bureau, Nanosaur, Seatraffic. And then ending Saturday night we have a special Shiny Toy Guns DJ Set, Cherub, D.Veloped, and a very SPECIAL GUEST!

Another month goes by, and the monstrous album Free the Universe from Major Lazer has gotten pushed back yet again, and to keep us all happy they have dropped a 4 song Lazer Strikes Back Volume 2 EP, following up Volume 1. The EP starts out with the classic Flosstradamus trapped out remix of “Original Don”. Next we get a chilled out extra clean remix from Blood Diamonds of “Get Free” feat. Amber of Dirty Projectors. . Major Lazer then teamed up with Baauer and Popcaan for a fresh new reggae themed version of “Harlem Shake” that works so well. “Jah No Partial” gets a bass pounding grimy jungle themed remix from The Reef. Pretty Lights – The Day Is Gone – NYE 2012-2013 HD Recap Video : New Electro-Soul

Pretty Lights just dropped off his latest song “The Day Is Gone” complete with a a video recap of his New Years Eve shows in New York this past year taking place at the historical Roseland Ballroom. He manages to convey such soul and emotion in each in every one of his songs almost making most other artists feel very fake and artificial. The gritty bass heavy edge clashes with the soulful vocals in all the right ways. This looks like quite the party to remember. Enjoy!

It is called Extraordinary Magnitude, and features live musicians Eric Mendelson, Drastiq, Buffalo Analog, Illumntr all pieced together electronically by Gramatik. This first song features one of their originals off their upcoming album Proportions set to release this summer. The took the Acapella from “No Diggity” by Blackstreet leaving us with “No Diggity 2013″. It is a modern twist on the classic track with a unique funky blast. Yeah I didn’t think I would be posting a remix to Suit & Tie either, but then Dillon Francis managed to give his signature trap treatment to the pop hit. He does some heavy signture vocal sampling completely reworking Justin’s vocals into sounding more like a robot with some powerful 808s. Considering this is an official remix, Dillon will probably start becoming more of a house hold name. No set release date yet. What are your thoughts?

EDC Chicago 2013 Lineup Leaked: Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Avicii, David Guetta and 50 more

The wait is over for those Chicago fans looking for the lineup to the first ever Electric Daisy Carnival 2013. Well very reputable Chicago Tribune somehow accidently leaked the entire lineup for the festival.

For headliners we have Tiesto, David Guetta, Avicii, Armin Van Buuren and Above & Beyond. There are also over 50 other acts to make this 3 day festival very special. Although this hasn’t been posted on the official EDC website, there has been no recall from anyone involved with the festival. Hope to see you all at Joliet Speedway May 24th – 26th.

Here is our after parties that we are throwing every night at the Shadow Ballroom at Winter Park Mountain Lodge. These parties will be going on from 11pm – 3am, don’t mind what the poster says, it hasn’t been update yet. For Friday night we have a Pretty Lights Showcase with Michal Menert and Paul Basic, Saturday night we have Datsik, Luminox, and Chris B, then on Sunday night we have GRiZ and HARD productions and Holy Ship! owner Destructo. These are set to be some of the craziest parties throughout the whole weekend and ticket just went on sale minutes ago, and last year sold out in a few hours, so don’t miss out. The festival ends at 10pm every night, so you will want to be at an after party every night.

Grizmatik – My People (Preview) : Must Hear Electro Soul / Future Funk

Whoaa… When GRiZ and Gramatik team up for their side project Grizmatik, incredible things happen. Today we get the preview of their latest massive single “My People”. We got the first taste with their Digital Liberation Is Mad Freedom complete with music video, and this track might top it. They fuse funk, soul, and gritty bass unlike any artists I have heard. These two teaming up is an insane combination. you can hear both artists shine through heavily. Even though this is just a sample, you can tell it’s gonna be quite the anthem. Can’t wait for the release.
