Baauer – Promises (feat. Fetty Wap and Dubble Dutch) : Must Hear Hip-Hop Collaboration [Free Download]Posted in Chill by Jake | Tags: Baauer, Dubble Dutch, Fetty Wap, Promises, Songs From Scratch
The long running Songs From Scratch series from Adidas has brought together the talents of trendsetting Brooklyn beatmaker Baauer with Popcaan's producer Dubbel Dutch and up and coming rapper Fetty Wap on an exciting new release.
This new track “Promises” serves as the latest project in this series that has brought us unlikely collaborations like the most recent Tory Lanez x Snakehips "Dimelo" or Chet Faker & Goldlink’s “On You.” Baauer and Dubbel Dutch provide a suprising laid back, extra bouncey approach with smooth melodies and wonky horns providing the perfect foundation for Fetty to spit some verses and and very nice hook. Enjoy!

Just a few weeks ago LA / Boulder based producer Kill Paris made the exciting announcement that he would be releasing his debut studio album Galaxies Between Us as a free download through his new record label. The first single “Space Forrest” more than impressed us as the producer ventured into some new Future Bass territory or as he calls it Heavy Chill.
Today we get the second single from the album “You Don’t Love Me No More” where Kill Paris continues to display some experimentation with even more styles. Taking future bass and his own future funk sound all thrown together in the midst of an intergalactic dance party. It’s exciting to hear him continue to display his own very unique sound, when most producers tend to sound all the same these days. This song is available as a free download to enjoy today. Listen below and grab a download and look out the free release of the rest of the album next month!
Also don’t miss as Kill Paris is embarking on a full US tour stopping at our 40+ dates. He is also bringing out fellow TSIS regular Louis Futon and his first label signee Bee Knees. Look at all the dates below. Enjoy!

Coming out of the creative jungle known as LA, the latest face to watch out for is going by the name of Gallant. The producer who doesn’t reveal much about his identity online other than he is a singer with an incredible voice. We also see that he is signed to Mind of A Genius the still relatively mysterious label that TSIS favorite Zhu is actually signed with.
Zhu, who’s known for not ever using social media, managed to send out his 18th tweet ever simply shouting out Gallant, this along with being signed to the same label is a strong indication of future collaborations between the two artists.
Also, Norwegian rising star Lido also confirmed that he had originals in the works with the producer via Twitter here.
Well today we get this artist's newest single “Open Up” that is produced by Stint and is a cinematic, soulful ambient slice of perfection. We hear his extra soft, emotion filled voice sit perfectly alongside the pronounced percussion elements and lightly placed piano melody. It’s a song that will have hooked half way through and leaving you hanging for more by the end. Listen below, and stay tuned to our socials as we update you more on this exciting budding artist. The multi talented TSIS supported artist Jon Bellion has continued to carve his own path blending R&B, Indie, and Hip-Hop for a unique combination. His most recent album The Definition is still seeing regular rotation over here, and was amazing seeing it performed live on the complimenting tour last fall.
Well today we have the first new song from Jon in 2015, "Woodstock," a powerful one-off single. The song has Jon continuing to expand on his unique style blending various genres for something that is fun and catchy while written and produced by Jon himself. The production on this one brings a far out, spacey, classic rock inspired twist to the sound we've grown to know from Jon.
He has also just announced his newest national run of shows, The Definition Tour. See all the dates below!

Future funk, electro-soul trendsetter GRiZ has built up a strong fanbase over the past few years and has recently been in the process of rolling out his biggest piece of work to date. "Say It Loud" is the latest studio album from GRiZ, and his most exciting venture as an artist. Unlike his last two albums Mad Liberation and Rebel Era, where sampling endless amounts of vinyl for the perfect vocals or melodies helped define his unique sound, he did things a little bit different this time around.
For this album, Grant Kwiecenski aka GRiZ decided to set up studio sessions with artists in New York City, New Orleans, Detroit and even a cabin in the middle of Michigan where he played with some of the funkiest and most soulful musicians around, recording all of the jam sessions. Then after recording with all these talented people, he used the sessions to sample and create a truly original piece of work that is now his latest album, Say It Loud.
This is the album GRiZ has been wanting to create by using others samples for years, and now finally had the tools to be able to do it.
Songs like "A Fine Way To Die" or "Funk Party" carry out the bass infused funk sound that's helped define his unique style. Songs like "The Anthem," "It's All Good," and "Stop Trippin" all showcase a more live side of GRiZ which is made possible from all his jam sessions. One of the most impressive tracks on the album is "Headspace" which is also one of the only instrumentals to make it on the project. This extra trippy, spacey cut will have you getting lost in the ambient nature of it, reminding me heavily of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of The Moon." One of the most catchy tunes on the album is his unexpected collaboration with New York hip-hop legend Talib Kweli on "For The Love."
Like all of the music that GRiZ puts out, he has graciously made the entire thing a free download. You can grab it via pay what you want BitTorrent bundle, by entering your e-mail on his website, or picking it up via iTunes. However you do grab this record, make sure you properly enjoy it from front to back as he is one of the few artists truly creating a proper journey for the listener.
