Tory Lanez Ryan Hemsworth

Toronto to Dallas transplanted rapper Tory Lanez has been on quite the streak truly making his mark in 2014. Today we have the latest single from him "Mama Told Me" enlisting producer duties from fellow Canadian artist Ryan Hemsworth along with Tory himself and Play Picasso who paint a spacey chilled out instrumental to set the tone. Flatbush Zombies and The Underachievers Release “Butterfly Effect” as New Supergroup Clockwork Indigo

Posted in Chill by Jake | Tags: , , , ,

The supergroup comprising of Flatbush Zombies and The Underachievers was bound to come together sooner or later. Both of these rap groups come out of the Flatbush neighborhood in Brooklyn, and rep the Beast Coast movement alongside Joey Bada$$ and his Pro Era collective.

The groups have joined forces as the 5 man super group Clockwork Indigo and have dropped off their first song “Butterfly Effect”. Production from Eric Arc Elliot evokes the perfect eerie vibes as a shrill, crackly loop sets the tone on the seven-minute beat as the five rappers trade some unruly verses.

Seattle based production duo ODESZA are certainly no name anymore, just recently dropping off a very successful debut album offering with "In Return", something we here at TSIS think is a contender for album of the year. The album featured one of the group's best tracks to date "Say My Name" feat. Zyra, the infectious single that is guaranteed to put you in the best mood over and grooving all the way through. Posted in Bangin, Chill by nick | Tags: , , , , ,

Disclosure's "Latch" has become an international hit from the duo's grammy nominated album Settle. The song has been brought back to life time & time again by a multitude of artists, and now none other than world renowned rapper Schoolboy Q delivers a brand new remix to the song. The combination of his flowful verses over towards the end of the deep house anthem is suprising yet manges to come together nicely. It would be cool to see the artists actually get in the studio and create something that sounded more natural and organic. Hear the first listen below and look out for a release soon, details getting updated as they come in. Enjoy!
