Zeds Dead & Omar LinX – Victor (Mixtape) : Must Hear 7 Song Dubstep / Hip Hop / Electro Genre Bending Mixtape

Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: , , , , , , , ,

Today I’ve got an entire 7 song mixtape from a few of my favorite artists. Zeds Dead is always clashing genres and is consistently creating a completely new sound. Do you remember Jackie Boy or Out for Blood? The tracks where the Canadian duo collaborated with rapper Omar LinX for a perfect blend of hip hop and bass music. Well now we get a 7 song mixtape released on Mad Decent‘s side Jefrees label, the free label that put out the Flosstradamus – Total Recall EP that’s been tons of love.. featuring a few new versions of some classics, on top of a few really amazing all original brand new ones. The use of classic sounding samples works so well with the bass and rapping. This is a true blending of so many genres, ranging from Hip Hop to Dubstep, Electro, and more really forming that unique Zeds Dead sound. I can’t stop listening to this all the way through. The new tracks “No Prayers” “The One” and “You and I” are insane, can’t wait to hear more of the sample based Zed Dead sound. Enjoy!

Nas – The Don : Real Hip Hop With Great Lyricism

Posted in Chill by nick | Tags: , , , ,

Sorry about the lack of posts the past 2 days, we’ve got a bunch of stuff coming this week to make up for it. Today I’ve got a new track from New York based Nas, this surfaced a few days ago, and it’s got that signature real lyricism he is known for. The production seemed a little standard. I’d love to see him work with an electronic muscian like Pretty Lights, that would be some real epic music. This track is stream only, we love free music, but respect when an artist doesn’t want to give something out for free. Enjoy!

Ecotek Ft. Paige – Forget About Tomorrow (Original Mix + Kdevin Alves + Trajikk & Joman Remix) : House / Electro Single and Remixes [TSIS EXCLUSIVE]

Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: , , , , , , , ,

Today I’ve got a real sick 3 pack of songs from a real talented producer we haven’t featured before, Ecotek. This colorado producer and DJ started his career where he was born in Athens, Greece, and then moved to Denver, Colorado. He then created Global Dance Festival at Red Rocks Amphitheater, which has surrounded him with some best electronic music in the world. This track featuring Paige for vocals has a feel good house sound that makes me get in the summer mood, and is perfect new track for anytime, the club, driving, you choose and it works.

If you want a little different flavor, also included is an electro vibed remix with some more energy from Kevin Alves. Lastly I’ve included possibly my personal favorite, a little more heavy remix from Trajikk & Joman which they call ‘Electrostep’ which defintely has an edge and real filthy dubstep kick to it. Excited to bring you another new Exclusive Thissongissick Free Download! Turn them up, enjoy!

Fixers – Iron Deer Dream (Delta Heavy Remix) : Heavy yet Melodic Dubstep / Indie Remix

Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: , , , , , ,

Delta Heavy’s funky dubstep remix of Nero’s ‘Must be the Feeling’ made me an instant fan of their work. Today we get the next free remix from the London duo, and this time they remix the track’Iron Deer Dream’ from Fixers. They create a funky dubstep track with some melodic bass wobbles. It has massive bass, but it never gets too filthy, it’s the kind of dubstep your mom wouldn’t mind. Turn it up, enjoy!

Wiz Khalifa – Taylor Allderdice (Mixtape) : Must Hear New Hip Hop Mixtape

Posted in Chill, Mixtapes / Albums by nick | Tags: , , , , ,

Wiz Khalifa is back with another amazing mixtape. Taylor Allderdice, is named after his high school, the same one Mac Miller attended as well. He went to his more mellow laid back style, like the Kush & OJ mixtape. This entire mixtape has really got that same no worries signature Wiz vibe. This is going to be on repeat for awhile, and it’s free? Wiz Khalifa really knows how to continue to please his fans new and old. It was hard but I picked out a few single tracks to sample, but this entire thing is great from start to finish. I love his little commentaries at the end of some of the tracks talking about his career, it’s a real cool touch with a rapper that crossed over to the mainstream to still put out free music. Check it out, chill, enjoy!

It’s always great to see succecful aritsts that can sell tons of records and singles and still give away a ton of free music. When I moved to Boulder to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder I got exposed to some of the sickest music around. My name is Nick Guarino and I love music and especially showing people new music. Making mix cd's for friends my whole life led to the founding of Thissongissick.com with which I hope to broaden everyone's musical taste beyond the radio. There is a large amount of freely distributed music that far too little people know about. This site showcases and debuts some of best up and coming as well as already established artists, rappers, DJ's, producers and more. Through the process TSIS has found it self focusing on exposing the electronic and hip hop music scenes. Check out some music you've never heard, I'm sure you'll find some songs that are pretty sick. Enjoy!

We work with the artists to spread they're music. Most of the artists choose to give away their music for free to spread it to as many ears as possible. Please support the artists by purchasing tickets to see them live in concert and what music they do have for sale!
