Having released some of the heaviest trap and bass tracks over the past year while performing at shows and festivals arounds the world, Brillz has established himself as a major force within the electronic music community. The live band / DJ hybrid duo Boombox are back with their latest original single following up ‘Lost Ya’ from earlier this year. ‘Waiting Around’ is a funky electronic indie single that is sure to put you in a good mood. It is the first single off the group’s new album Filling in the Color set to release January 14th. This song incorporates a large amount of live band elements from guitar solos to horns leaving us with a jam inspired twist reminding me of The Grateful Dead, which isn’t surprising with Guitar / Lead Vocalist Zion of Boombox being the son of two members from the group (Keith and Donna Jean Godchauxt). You can listen to the exclusive stream below. Enjoy.
Boombox – Waiting Around | Pre-order (Available Jan. 14th 2014)
The talented newcomer electronic producer Alex Young is back with his latest track taking on The Neighborhood’s ‘Sweather Weather’ leaving us with his newly titled “SWTRWTHR”. The manages to take House and Trap elements and fuse them together seamlessly for a smooth ride you never want to end. You will never get bored from the refreshing synths and drums layered by some unbelievable vocals. Listen to the exclusive premiere of the stream below and look back December 10th for free download. Pretty Lights – A Color Map Of the Sun Remixes (Album) : Must Hear Release With 16 Artists [ALBUM STREAM]Posted in Bangin, Chill, Mixtapes / Albums by nick | Tags: A Color Map of the Sun, Bass Music, Electro Soul, pretty lights, Remixes, Thissongissick
Pretty Lights has been one of the few electronic artists to never dive into the world of having other artists remix his songs, so when I heard that he was enlisting an all star cast for official remixes for the first time ever, for every track on his most recent album nonetheless, I almost lost it. On December 10th, the 16 track A Color Map Of the Sun Remixes album will release through Pretty Light Music for free and iTunes.
Today we get our the stream of the entire album with artists ranging from expected PLM favorites like Break Science, Michal Menert, SuperVision, Paul Basic and Elliot Lipp to unexpected bass heavyweights 12th Planet and Datsik. He has also enlisted a cast of some of the hottest new names in electronic music GRiZ, ODESZA, heRobust, Opiuo, Blood Diamonds, Culprate, Two Fresh and more. The entire release is very eclectic and gives the album a completely new spin. For those waiting to hear your favorite Pretty Lights songs in a whole new light, the wait is over. My personal favorites might have to be ODESZA’s take on ‘One Day They’ll Know’, the GRiZ spin on ‘Vibe Vendetta’ both personally competing with the originals for me. You can stream the entire album below thanks to Rolling Stone for premiering it and the Pretty Lights team for letting us feature it. Enjoy.

Tomorrowland, the most buzzed about music festival worldwide that sold out last year in 1 second has announced plans for a second weekend. With such high demand leaving thousands without tickets last year for the Belgian festival, this news should be an early end of year present. This comes during 2014, the 10th anniversary of the festival, so only makes sense to make their flagship festival even more massive.
There have been two new permits issued from Mayors of Rumst and Boom, both Belgian municipalities (cities) signifying the festival might move locations for the second weekend to one of these locations. We can thank local Belgian publication Gazet van Antwerpen for breaking the news. The festival didn’t comment yesterday, but with permits already being secured we guarantee an expansion of the festival.
Since last year it sold out in 1 second, now with twice as many tickets will we have an entire minute to get our hands on tickets? Or will this added allotment severely decrease buzz?

TSIS sponsored artist Logic has been having a successful year following the signing with Def Jam, recently supporting Kid Cudi’s entire tour, sold-out headlining tour and now we get our hands on some new music. The smooth production is from Logic himself, while he destroys the track with his lyricism and Veggies offers a chilled out contrast to end the track.
