One of the most hyped first performances between Skrillex and Diplo as their new project Jack U was closing out Hard Summer with a headlining set in their home city of LA. We were lucky enough to be there for the set during and as expected, they certainly impressed. The group debuted an onslaught of new material including bootlegs, originals, and remixes. One of the most standout moments of the set was a bootleg mashup of Skrillex's infamous take on "Cinema" and Andy C's remix of Major Lazer's "Get Free". The track was recently featured in the Jack U's 2 hour BBC mix and was given out as a limited free download through the OWSLA store. We now have our hands on that free download for all of you to enjoy!

Joey Bada$$ continues to tease more new music from his upcoming debut studio album with one of his most raw tracks to date. Hip-hop producer legend Statik Selektah set the tone for "No. 99" with an instrumental fueled around some gritty live bass guitar and drums. Joey comes in and spits straight fire fueled verses from start to finish through the entire near 3 minute song. This following up Joey's remix of Freddie Gibbs' "Knicks" and "Get Paid" leaves us with high expectations for the upcoming album out January 20th. Enjoy!

"Imperium", the first debuted single from album, struck a noticeably darker tone than we hear today. The song has a more melodic deeper influence and is set off thanks to the featured vocals from UK singer Kyan.
We also got news via a tweet confirming the album will be released in 2015 and will be called 'Adventure'. Stay tuned as we'll continue to have the latest on 'Adventure' and all things Madeon.

Chilly weather is spreading in most parts of the country, but that's not stopping California based producers Tropicool and Peitzke from turning up the heat with their latest original track, "Cat Call." 2014 has been a huge year for "tropical" sounding music and it doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon. “Cat Call” is a chilled out tune that gives off a sexy, somewhat throw-back vibe. The best description for it is to picture yourself cruising down the boulevard in 1970’s Miami. You won’t be able to listen to this tune just once, it's that addicting. Stream the track below and make sure you grab the free download. Enjoy!

A few months back we premiered the debut single, "Maybe", from the new collaborative project Carmada the team of budding Australian producers LDRU and Yahtzel. Today we get the entire Realise EP featuring three brand new songs released through Skrillex's OWSLA label.
Skrillex was down under recently and premiered the whole EP via Nina Las Vegas' Triple J Mix Up Exclusives take-over along with Diplo, RL Grime and What So Not. Listen to the radio show stream below.
Carmada have been carving a lane in the chilled out side of production. They regularly step outside of what you would expect from them and prove to keep pushing the boundaries of the Australian sound with a harder twist. In the title track "Realise", the vocals from New Zealand based Noah Slee make the track stand out along with a subtle melody and funky drop. "Carmalude" showcases the more Australian feel we are used to with a touch of saxophone that really gives the track diversity. "On Fire" puts off a bouncy Flume-ish feel with vocals from Melbourne based RnB singer Maribelle that really take it to the next level.
You can now stream the EP in full and purchase on iTunes thanks to OWSLA. Enjoy!

We can’t say enough how big of fans we are of ODESZA and how exciting it has been to watch the duo breakout this year largely thanks to their unreal debut album In Return.
We partnered up with the duo and Wavo to run a remix contest for one of the hottest tracks on the release “Say My Name” featuring vocals from Zyra. We were so impressed, this had some of the strongest remix submissions we’ve ever heard from any contest.
The grand prize winner's track will officially be released on Counter x NinjaTune records, and uploaded to our Soundcloud, on top of a sweet prize package of gear and merch. The first place winner is The Geek X Vrv, with second place going to Luke Shay, and third place to AutoLaser who's remixes will also be uploaded to our Soundcloud.
3 winners were supposed to be chosen, but since there were so many fantastic remixes, ODESZA chose 5 remixes as honorable mentions as well, including Basic Tape, Dapa Deep, StéLouse, cln, and Dub Scout.
We really want to thank everyone that participated in this contest, we had some of our best submissions yet. Congrats to all the winners. We are excited for some upcoming remix contests we are planning for 2015, stay tuned!

MK, Lee Foss and Anabel Englund Have Formed Supergroup Pleasure State and Released “Ghost In The System” Music VideoPosted in Chill by nick | Tags: Anabel Englund, Lee Foss, MK, Music Video, Pleasure State
MK has been one of the pioneers of Deep House since it’s origin in the 90’s, but only recently started DJing in the past few years. He has now established himself as a true force behind the decks and has been crushing sets across the globe. The now established DJ just joined forces with two other serious players in the house world for a new supergroup. Lee Foss, co-founder of the very influential house label, 'Hot Creations' has been both playing and collaborating with the seductive singer and DJ Anabel Englund over the past couple years really developing and unbeatable chemistry.
All three of these artists have joined up for a new house supergroup band appropriately called Pleasure State and they are ready to bring their deep sound to new heights. Today we have the group’s first single “Ghost In The System” , released alongside some impressive official visuals.
The video is centered around Annabel Englund, bringing her mesmerizing vocals to life as she moves around a bleak modern house. We also see cameos from both MK and Lee Foss. Something about the chemistry here works really well and has us instantly hooked and on the lookout for what’s to come from Pleasure State. This is the first single from the group’s debut release Ghost In The System EP coming out on Hot Creations. Listen and watch below and as always, enjoy!
2014 feels like the year of unexpected collaborations and that continues with hints of a potentially huge match up. Rapper and TSIS favorite Logic just posted a photo with young superstar producer Zedd in the studio with the caption “Worked on something crazy last night in the studio with Zedd.”
Logic is hot off the release of his debut album Under Pressure which smashed expectations as far as numbers go and translates the rappers unbelievable buzz into one of the most powerful forces in hip-hop to watch. Aside from enlisting Louis Futon for a remix of his song “Break It Down”, the rapper has never once ventured into the electronic space, staying pretty traditional and true to his signature style. Zedd, on the flip side, has never worked with a rapper before, not even with a remix.
We feel the lack of experience in each other's genres will lead to some amazing chemistry as both artists dive into something new at the same time, leaving us with something potentially groundbreaking.
Will they go more in the traditional progressive house styled side of Zedd or venture into something new like Vic Mensa's genre blending single “Down On My Luck”. What do you think?
From the looks of the picture, they look excited, which has us all very excited for what’s to come.
We have been following the Philly-based duo, Louis Futon for well over a year. We've been looking forward to a stream of new music following up their recent remix of Future x Kanye West’s “I Won” and a new Kill Paris remix of their upcoming single “Silk”.
Today they are back with an original featuring fresh new rapper / singer Jay Alexander. Louis Futon lays down a signature uplifting production with perfect drums and spacey melodies leaving us with an instrumental that could stand strong on it’s own. Jay Alexander provides a very catchy chorus that makes this track pop. Showing a more versatile side of Louis Futon, "Cold Love" is a nice follow up to their collaboration with bay area rapper A1 on "Parasail". We can only hope this is just the beginning of rappers and vocalist jumping on board with Louis’s unique sound. Listen to the song below and grab a free download while available. Enjoy!
