Henry Fong Releases Entire Ableton Project File For Newest Single “Scream” With J-Trick + Exclusive MixPosted in Bangin by nick | Tags: Electro House, Henry Fong, J-Trick, Mix
A recent steady and consistent stream of top notch original tracks and remixes has skyrocketed Henry Fong to one of most buzzed about names in electro-house. His newest single "Scream", with collaborator J-Trick, just released on Musical Freedom, is setting a new standard for produced releases; actually revolutionizing how tracks will be put out in the future. They have become the first ever producers to give away, not just the stems to the song for others to remix, but are passing out the entire Ableton Live project file of the song, with all 34 layers left intact. This is a producers wet dream; as every single section, plugin, and EQ can be traced. Where most producers would consider all the information in a project file as their secrets, Fong and J exhibit confidence in their production by releasing their track-making process.

The entire Ableton project file is available thanks to the amazing new platform Splice which has been rolled out this year. The program has completely revolutionized collaboration; letting producers upload a project file to a digital cloud providing an ease with witch to pass work back and forth. You can see everything the other producer has worked on, from plugins and to layer change specifics. The platform has recently brought on Tiesto, Steve Angello, and Martin Garrix's management Scooter Braun among others as strategic investors for the project which should help ensure the ambitious platform's goals of widespread use to be met.
To make things even better, Henry Fong and J-Trick have just dropped us off a brand new mix in the spirit of "Scream" with a special B2B hour of their favorite tunes right now. Enjoy!

When Diplo isn’t surrounded by a wall of twerking girls, he is the front man of Major Lazer; an ongoing side project that continues to cement itself in the music world by blending electronic and reggae sounds like no one before.
Taking the Major Lazer persona to the next level, the group is being represented by cartoon characters; Major Lazer "himself" being a gun-bearing militarized Jamaican. We’ve seen him and other characters throughout album and single artworks, and we even saw him brought to life in their music video for “Get Free”.
Now, Diplo’s been cooking up something far bigger, a full-on cartoon TV show based around Major Lazer personas. If the show is anything like the music, it surely has promise. Set to broadcast on FXX, the new Fox spin-off network geared toward a more mature audience, (home to programs like Archer, Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The League), this pick up demonstrates how far the channel is willing to push boundaries.
Today we have the first sample of the show with the actual intro. The very first episode will air on FXX this Sunday night at 12 am EST.
Days before Knife Party were to set drop their debut studio album Abandon Ship!, they delayed the release to make sure it was perfect. Yesterday, we got the first sample of the new material they have kept us patiently waiting for. Rob Swire has uploaded a huge, close to 2 minute, preview of KP's new song "Party 404". Packing a different flavor than the rest, while still holding to the signature anthem-feel of other KP songs, "404" carries a glitchy 8-bit influence worked in with an epic buildup into a fierce drop. This preview will have to keep you happy until we get the full album on it's new release date of November 10th. Listen below and enjoy!

Prepare to lose yourself in the blissful vibes of San Francisco native to Denver transplant producer Illenium's newest release. Drawing influence from emerging UK singer / writing duo Wonder Wonder's most recent release “Shark”, Illenium fills the indie single with a melodic dubstep undertone while highlighting the original vocals. It’s dream-like elements provide a smooth listen and Illenium is giving this remix away as a free download! Enjoy

The time for Dillon Francis has finally arrived. We posted the stream to his debut album Money Sucks, Friends Rule earlier this week and now we are happy to bring you the new music video for "When We Were Young" ft. Sultan, Ned Shepard and The Chaing Gang Of 1974. The video takes our cast of characters (Dillon, Sultan & Ned Shepard, and The Chain Gang of 1974 as the creepy clown) and throws them back in time to a very wild childhood birthday party. This music video has it all from party favors, games and cake, to creepy clowns, a bouncy house, and a rock concert played out on fisher price instruments. Only something so silly and straight up entertaining could come from the mind of the guy responsible for Hansel and not giving a Fuck or a Shit. You can stream the video below and pre-order the album here. Enjoy!

The colossal duo of Kill the Noise and Feed Me recently teased the followup to their 2012 collaboration "Thumbs Up (For Rock N’ Roll)". Their latest song “Far Away” might be one of both artists' biggest to date as we first previewed last week.
The track is powered by a captivating chorus sung by a children's choir, setting the tone for both producers to lay down some unbelievably intricate melodies. The song's upbeat energy is highlighted by pulsating drops sprinkled throughout. The track encompasses both collaborators' styles perfectly while still delivering something completely new and unexpected.
There is a full animated music video to help explode the single which is set to premiere on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim this Saturday Oct 25th. Listen below, watch out for the video tonight, and make sure to pick up your copy through Beatport as it is available through both Kill the Noise and Feed Me’s labels Slowroast and Sotto Voce respectively. Enjoy!
