Frank Ocean took to Tumblr earlier this year to break his silence and announce a new album to be released this July. We now have a pleasant surprise to hold us over until he drops the album.
To catch us all by surprise, Major Lazer has utilized MØ's vocal abilities to cover Frank Ocean's “Lost,” and it works perfectly. The infectious singer MO took the world by storm and inspired countless remixes of her song "Don't Wanna Dance,” and continues to impress as she pays respect to the original on this cover. Diplo brought his A game on this irresistible instrumental to bring a new light to Frank’s hit as he’s reimagined the song as a Major Lazer style reggae, summertime jam.

Rising collaborative duo Hotel Garuda have established themselves as a group to keep an eye on as the respective producers Manila Killa and Candle Weather and have done some impressive work on their own. Their recent cover / remix of Kanye’s iconic “All Of The Lights” allowed their unique style to shine and showcased what this duo has to offer.
Royal's "Passenger" is the title track off his recent EP that we premiered earlier this year, and now it's received a melodic deep house remix highlighting the original’s pleasant vocals. This new remix showcases their mellow, sexy style as rhythmic hi-hats lay underneath the original vocals and deep house aesthetic bassline comes in and drops out allowing for quavering synths and melodic xylophone lines to close out this sensual remix. Continue to keep an eye on this duo as they show no signs of slowing down anytime soon and be sure to check the entire remix package out for free and for sale on iTunes via rising label Octal Sound. Enjoy

There are few artists who have mastered the art of looping instruments like FKJ has, and he even carries this talent over to his must-see live performances. He’s impressed us in the past with his unbelievably smooth remixes of ZHU’s “Paradise Awaits" and Lianne La Havas’ “Unstoppable," and this new original is no different.
This multitalented artist loops drums, bass, guitar, and keyboards in an irresistible way that sits perfectly under Tom Bailey’s vocals on “Drops.” This summer-ready tune is an infectious, soulful, genre-defying track bursting with delightful keyboard melodies, guitar riffs and funky basslines in FKJ’s signature fashion. Enjoy the free download below!

A growing TSIS regular Kasbo has been making quite the global name for himself through a series of remixes of songs like Vance Joy's "Riptide", Jeremih's "Don't Tell Em", Louis Futon's "Sir Rock" or even originals including Kaleidoscope amongst many more. Well, today he's back with his latest remix. This time he's taking on fellow Swede, singer Erik Hassle, and his recent single "No Words" which was featured earlier this year with his comical music video.
He's completely reimagined the song using his signature future bass styling full of colorful synths, cinematic builds and drops, and punchy trap influenced drums. Before you know it the song is over and will have you looking to start it over just as quickly. Listen to the song below and you can purchase your copy today. Enjoy!

GRiZ is a long time TSIS featured artist, yet we've surprisingly seen very few remixes of his tracks. The only remix that comes to mind is the edit which hip-hop legend DJ Green Lantern did of his song, "Too Young For Tragedy". Well, today we have a very exciting remix of one of the songs from the latest GRiZ album, Say It Loud. His collaboration with Talib Kweli on "For The Love" has been flipped upside down by rising California based producer Big Wild. Big Wild has been making waves on the road, having supported ODESZA amongst many festivals plays, and is riding high from the successful release of "Aftergold" on ODESZA's new label Foreign Family Collective. The female vocals on the song are chopped up and used almost as an instrument alongside an array of sunny melodies and organic xylophones and more for an end result that you won't be able to stop replaying, and is sure to put a smile on your face. Listen below and enjoy!

In the growing sea of producers, TroyBoi has managed to stand out in the pack with non stop quality tracks that always push the boundaries. Today we have the latest from him with a brand new original “On My Own” that has him linking with vocalist NEFERA for some smooth vocals. The song carries out his trap inspired, melody filled, infectiously catchy style that is so uniquely TroyBoi. This song will have you replaying it, and Soundcloud will have to do as there is not details on the official release yet. Enjoy!

Odesza’s audio / visual collective, Foreign Family Collective, has been underway for a few months now and has brought us a few songs already including Big Wild's irresistible original “Aftergold.”
The fourth release by this exciting new label comes from up and coming producer Greyhat out of Maine, and shows Foreign Family Collective isn’t afraid to get experimental with their releases. “Glider” brings a forward thinking, experimental approach with an atmospheric sound with evolving, syncopated drums that change throughout the song alongside a speaker rattling driving bassline, and layers of chimes and indistinguishable vocal samples all melded together in an interesting and amazing way. There is a lot going in this tune as it builds and drops throughout the track in an organized chaos that blends perfectly and has us intrigued to hear more from this Odesza curated label. Enjoy!

Disclosure have been keeping the world on their toes as we anxiously await the group's sophomore album CARACAL that is set to release September 25th. Well the remixes for the album's lead single "Holding On" have been starting to surface and today we have the official from Disco House icon Arman Van Helden.
He layers in some new piano lines, freshened up drums and a thumping bassline that might even rival the original. This was made to dominate clubs and I'd say it has a good chance of doing so. Listen below to the full song and we will keep you posted on when you can grab a copy. Enjoy!

LA based producer and TSIS favorite Party Favor is back on our radar but this time with two releases in the same day, he has taken on Dillon Francis' "I Can't Take It" which will actually be dropping on Dillon's anticipated "This Mixtape Is Fire" EP.
Plus he just dropped a new trapped out twerk original "Booty Loose" which is the official follow up to his heavily played out anthem "Bap U." We see both of these songs being played out frequently over the next few months. Stream both below and make sure to pick up your copies on iTunes. Enjoy

Ariana Grande has had the world talking about her antics of licking donuts a few weeks back in a donut shop which even turned into a trending hashtag #DonutGate. Well now Dillon Francis isn't too happy as he is raising awareness about donut abuse with his Donuts In Crisis Control (DICC) activist group and website DonutFrancis.com.
Well today Dillon continues to exploit the matter by dropping his new "Exit Through The Donut Hole (I Can't Take It)" short movie which is a story of Dillon as a donut and the struggles he has to put up with as a donut in daily life. From annoying his roommate to crushing on the taco stand girl to dealing with his enemy broccoli, this video takes you on the daily life of a donut and it makes you very…hungry.
Watch the full video below and be sure to watch out for Dillon's new "This Mixtap Is Fire" EP dropping August 14th. Enjoy
Vic Mensa is absolutely killing it this year. He’s proven to be the future of Chicago hip hop alongside his longtime friend Chance The Rapper, but is going a different route from Chance as he’s chosen to be signed while Chance is staying independent.
This year Vic has already collaborated with Kaytranada multiple times and with Kanye on one of the hits of the summer with “U Mad” while recently being signed by Jay Z’s Roc Nation. We previously heard a live version of his collaboration with Skrillex, “No Chill,” but now we get to hear a radio rip of the studio version, and it exactly what we were hoping for. Skrillex brings his relentless drums and wonky horns as he proves he can produce hip hop as well as he does with his other production efforts. Vic goes in on this heater spitting choppy, lyrical verses while the beat drops in & out and he adds a catchy hook that has us impatiently awaiting more info about his debut studio album, Traffic.

Canadian duo Zeds Dead continue the flow of content following up their colossal collaboration with Megalodon on "Wit Me Dub" and "Somewhere Else" remix EP with a brand new original. The duo have teamed up with LA trap producer duo LOUDPVCK on a new single properly titled "Flies" dropping via Diplo's Mad Decent. The track jumps from heavy hitting house tempos into anthemic gritty trap halftime drops with growling synths, punchy drums and effected vocal really showing both Zeds Dead and LOUDPVCK styles blended perfectly. It's safe to say you'll be hearing this one A LOT for the rest of the year. Stream the premiere of the full song below and pick up your copy on iTunes via Mad Decent. Enjoy

We were overcome with excitement when Gorillaz animator Jaime Hewlett announced “Yes Gorillaz Returns” on Instagram, and now the wheels are in motion for a new album as they are heading into the studio this September.
The virtual animation band’s frontman Damon Albarn appeared on Australian TV ABC to announce he's "starting recording in September for a new Gorillaz record. I've just been really, really busy so I haven't had a chance. I'd love to just get back into that routine of being at home and coming to the studio five days a week.” Earlier this year, Albarn released Magic Whip with his band Blur as their first album since 2003, and this will be the first Gorillaz album since 2011’s The Fall. Stay tuned for more info!
