Tastemaker producer / DJ Skrillex is never one to stop coming up with new ways to entertain his massive following and last night in NYC, he brought together a few select guests at the intimate Slipper Room venue to witness a special set of tracks played by Sonny. The mix was broadcasted worldwide via SiriusXM Electric Area station and fans who were there or tuned in were able to hear a slew of new songs ranging from a load of his unreleased collaborations with Diplo as supergroup Jack U, a killer mashup of Recess with JumoDaddy's "Blackhorse", an unknown remix of Must Die’s “Hellcat”, a new track from Rell the Soundbender titled "Dome Shot" and more. Skrillex, manages to keep everyone thoroughly entertained as he switches in and out of genres with ease. We will keep you posted on official details on all the tracks in the mix, but in the mean time you can stream the mix in full below and above all… Enjoy!

MTV hasn't been covering music in quite some time; their programming is almost exclusively filled with reality shows with the occasional award show. So earlier this year when we heard they would be covering the iconic TomorrowLand, we were both suprised and excited. They have released 3 hours of a documentary covering the 10 year history of the event and this year's actual festival.
For those who haven't been able to go quite yet this might be your best case of getting over FOMO until next year, or TomorrowWorld later this month. Enjoy!
The list of captivating remixes conjured up by LA producer Elephante is close to reaching legendary status as he has yet to do no wrong when it comes to adding a new spin on other musician's music. His most recent takeover of Lemaitre "Wait" is still fresh in the minds of many, and now we have a new remix of emerging powerhouse producer / artist duo Galantis (Miike Snow's Christian Karlsson & Style of Eye) single "Help" that is explosively creative. Elephante has flipped it into quite the progressive house anthem full of melodic builds, unreal synths and also managing to let the original vocals shine bright. You can listen to the exclusive premiere below and grab and exclusive free download provided for our readers thanks to Elephante! Enjoy

Say hello to an exciting new collection of producers out of the UK who are labeling themselves simply as The Code. Today we hear the first song from the group, a collaboration with breakout rapper G-Eazy on an unreal collaboration "Gravity". Featuring a minimal emotion filled production, the song contains distorted vocals from The Code before G-Eazy comes in and completely destroys the track with his verse. It captures a certain dark and cold vibe throughout that really sticks with you. It also has just the right amount of an electronic kick to make things interesting, yet not distracting from the singing and rapping. They are making this track a free download so listen below and pick up your copy. Enjoy!

DJ / Producer Skrillex has proven himself a huge tastemaker and relative bass ambassador in the EDM world with platinum record selling productions from himself and releasing other artists music on his record label OWSLA. Today he continues to showcase his tastemaking abilities even more as a newly created playlist on Sonny's Soundcloud titled "Skrillex Selects" (similar to Diplo's "Diplo Approved" channel) with tracks including Dillon Francis new single "I Can't Take It", Banks "Goddess", recent TSIS premiere of Must Die! "Hellcat" and more. Skrillex's selection appears to be tracks that he has been feeling lately and doesn't stick to any particular genre. We hope to see more artists follow in this fashion as it is a key tool for smaller artist's music to be heard by the masses. Listen to the playlist below and most of all…Enjoy

So a few days back Disney decided to file a lawsuit against Deadmau5 claiming that his mau5head mouse logo was too simliar to their Mickey Mouse logo and infringed on their rights. You can see the two images compared side to side above.
While there is obviously some similarities with the 3 circles, smile and minimalstic design, it seemed pretty insane. Also with the fact that he has registered for a trademark in 30 other countries already. Well since America is America, when he tried to apply to get it in the US, he in return is facing a potential lawsuit with Disney.
Well just an hour ago Deadmau5 unleashed onto Facebook that Disney has actually done the unthinkable, in the middle of this heated debate between the two, Disney has decided to use his popular song "Ghosts N Stuff" without permission in a new online Disney "Re-micks" video edited to some Mickey cartoons. Watch the video here. (Before it gets taken down)
Deadmau5 seems to be very confident about the situation.
Deadmau5 actually has filed a cease and decist for the unpermitted content. The mau5 has gone ahead and uploaded the actual document, see what his team has to say below.
Kygo went from being a new name at the beginning of this year to sold out tours and even just announced his international album signing with Sony Music. Fellow breakout producer Dillon Francis has established himself as one of the most notable names in EDM over the past years and is on the heels of releasing his debut studio album next month. News has just broke that the two artists have actually begun collaborating and were in the studio last night. With both artists typically messing with the slower paced BPM range, it makes sense that their styles would mesh wonderfully together. They have posted a few pictures and videos, with Dillon sharing a short preview of the actual song as well!
Here is the first clip of the song, a slow paced melody filled heater in the making:
Here is a video of Dillon joking with Kygo in the studio:

I didn’t think it was possible to get anymore excited for the release of their album “In Return” next week, yet they somehow proved it was. Watch below and pre-order your copy of the album. Enjoy!
