The dust has now settled from Ultra Music Festival 2014 and we can't help but think the highlight moment minus any controversy took place Sunday afternoon when OWSLA head honcho Skrillex joined forces with Mad Decent kingpin Diplo to turn up the main stage as Jack U for the second time since its inception last fall. The performance went above the crowds expectations as the two titans lifted the atmosphere going into the final hours of the festival. Firing off a string of tracks from Skrillex recent debut artist album Recess along with Diplo sprinkling a few choice originals , the two unleashed a fury of bpm smashing heaters including unreleased tracks from the Jack U project, GTA, TWRK, a jaw dropping collab between Antiserium and Snails, and a troll of their own involving an electro synth sample of George Michael's "Careless Whsiper". By the end of the set, which featured a serenade of Toto's "Africa", Jack U was trending worldwide via Twitter with adoration pouring in from fans and prominent producers / DJs alike. As we await the next Jack U appearance, the stream below will have to tie us over for now. Enjoy

It's an all out windy city affair as infamous mash-up producer duo The Hood Internet provide a breathe of fresh air into a newly created remix. Using emerging Chicago rapper ProbCause double entendre filled single describing his native cities most iconic strip of road and the performance enhancing supplement that shares the same name, the duo reconstruct the original beat of "LSD" with a vast collection of filter cuts, snare adjustments, and samples from two iconic songs paying tribute to both references. Combine this with the signature acid rap flow of prominent lyricist Chance the Rapper and the end result is a lucidly soulful release to vibe out with from start to finish. Thanks to Skrillex's infamous record label OWSLA housing a diverse roster of talent within electronic music, I've recently discovered and taken a strong liking to the R&B-infused creations produced by Vancouver transplant Blood Diamonds who returns after laying down a fresh reimagining of Boys Noize "Got It" feat. Snoop Dogg. He repeats the same feat yet again by providing a melodic downtempo beat dripping with sensual feels for Tinashe soulful lyrics before speeding up the tempo with trap like style for Travi$ Scott's verses to flourish on. It's creatively crafty to say the least and with a download available free of charge you have no reason to not add this remix to your music library ASAP. Keep a look out for more to come from Blood Diamonds and above all… Enjoy!
