Zedd is set to release his sophomore studio album with a projected release date being early 2015.
Grammy-winning German house producer Zedd certainly has the skills to balance numerous successful radio hits while also turning out countless house tracks that have become festival anthems. His debut album Clarity saw huge acclaim with "Clarity" and "Break Free" both charting across the globe and also managed to catapult the artist into a league of extraordinary top acts.
Zedd recently announced via Billboard that his sophomore studio album release is heavily underway and should be wrapped up by early 2015. He also mentioned dropping a single or two in the next 6 months
He is in converstaions with Hayle Williams (Of Paramore) about a followup collaboration to the highly succesful "Stay The Night", which would be on the album. Zedd unveiled his active plans to work with both Muse and Silverchair, two bands that "really inspired" Zedd; yet those names are just on the wishlist currently. Zedd also mentions that most of the album is written and it's just now about producing all the tracks to where he sees fit.
Zedd also states that his hearing has returned fully and was nothing serious. Just needed to catch up on some much needed sleep.
"It’s hard to find time to sit down and focus on it. I’ve written most of the songs but the production process is long for me – making them sound the way I want them to sound, finding the right vocalists, and so on." - Zedd
Chilidsh Gambino aka Donald Glover out of nowhere just dropped the first single "Sober" from his upcoming Kauai Mixtape (artwork below). The rapper who has rose to one of the most exciting names in the every expanding hip-hop world never seems to dissappoint with this far out, extra trippy ballad. The light electronic grittiness and contrasting keys and light drums acts as a raw canvas that Gambino manages to light up with some singing that will have you humming along. It's a change of pace from what we can expect. Enjoy!

Using their production talents alone, emerging Seattle-based duo ODESZA have proved themselves a no "flash in the pan" act after a string of chilled out releases including a remix of Pretty Lights "Lost and Found", their "My Friends Never Die" EP and a remix of Zhu's "Faded" plus a supporting role on Pretty Lights nationwide "A Color Map of the Sun" tour last year. Since then, the guys have embarked on spreading their music to the masses at various festivals and series of soldout headliner shows while finding time to work on their debut album titled In Return. ODESZA's truly unique blend of infectious soulful vibes, future bass aesthetics, what you could call chill trap elements, on top of endless supply of organic live instruments are all on display for an album that shines bright and dares to inspire ones creativity. This will guaranteed be a trendsetter amongst the growing future bass genre world.
Gifting listeners with 13 singles on this release, the album transitions through a fascinating array of future sounding elements with even greater influences within the bass spectrum on display. The opening tracks are completely cinematic in design and have a tranquil flow to them that is relaxing yet engaging at the same time. The soulful foundation created on "All We Need" for Shy Girls to lay down a lush set of vocals is a thing of beauty as a series of melodic keyboard sections, wooden blocks, and cleaver bass twists leave a lasting imprint on the audible senses. We are also gifted with one of the strongest tracks on the record "Say My Name" featuring singer Zyra which got brough to life with a very impressive music video paying an ode to the movie Mullholland Drive. This brings me to ODESZA's use of amazing vocalists on this album; each track boasting an emerging singer / songstress had me consistently wondering how did they collect such a strong cast of vocal talent? The remainder of the release continues to enchant listeners leading all the way up to the albums very first single "Sun Models", which has become my personal anthem of the summer due to its top notch production that oozes in feel good vibes from start to finish.
ODESZA have perfected the art of creating superior musical compositions, with In Return being everything I had anticipated since we first heard the news of the duo producing an album. We are already seeing the start of what we can expect to be a long string of remixes from the project, and rightfully so. Listen to the full stream of the album below and pick up your copy through iTunes. Enjoy!

A new song by Aussie duo Knife Party "Begin Again" has just surfaced being uploaded by an unknown Soundcloud account. We got a taste of their upcoming EP a few weeks back with the song "Resistance" which was a bass heavy electro festival banger following in the style we have grown to expect from Knife Party.
Well today after listening to "Begin Again" we hear a completely new side of Knife Party, bringing in some influences of their other project Pendelum as far as more focused on melodies then the drop, which this song doesn't really have. We also hear Rob Swire of Knife Party / Pendelum lay down some of his own vocals, which makes us remember when he did the same thing for deadmau5's iconic "Ghosts N Stuff".
Listen below to the preview and we will keep you posted on details as they roll in. What are your thoughts on the change of pace from Knife Party? Enjoy.
Knife Party – Begin Again
deadmau5 is a Toronto native and has been known outside of his music for his popular "Coffee Run" video series where he takes guests in his car like Skrillex and Dillon Francis, Zedd or Pharrell. Well he brought this idea to the streets as he was an Uber driver for the evening in the downtown Toronto area. Here are his tweets announcing it and look below for the video recap of him actually picking up passengers that were lucky enough that evening. Who knows if he might do it again.
Big Sean just signed with Roc Nation management (Jay Z's company) last night and today kicks off the announcement with a brand new 4 song EP.

The other tracks include "4th Quarter" produced by Key Wane, "Paradise" produced by MikeWillMadeIt, and "Jit / Juke" produced by Nate Fox / The Internz / L&F. Sean offers some solid verses throughout the 4 tracks and gets extremely excited on what we can expect from his third studio album that he is currently working on. Listen below and enjoy!

Bass enthusiast and lover of all things hard as shit, Figure has announced a very special run of fall shows being dubbed "Terrorvision" kicking off October 17th. These run of shows will be unlike any peformance you've seen to date with Figure incorporating horror film footage to every single one of the songs in his sets. The partnership with Rane / Serato is certainly something you don't want to miss as it will be a unique live visual experience, which is inspired from his Monsters themes. Look at the teaser of the tour below and read what Figure had to say about the upcoming string of shows. Tour dates for the entire run are listed below with some exclusive limited pre-sale tickets available for purchase today while supplies last. Also you can expect Figure's upcoming Monsters volume 5 dorpping on October 14th.
Here is a quote from Figure himself about his vision of the tour.
Terrorvision has been a concept I've been putting together for some time now, something I thought would go really well with my annual Monsters series.
I wanted to create the ability to compile tons of custom edited clips the same way I have compiled tons of music for my sets over the years. I'm a horror buff and I've amassed an extensive collection of classic shock theatre and obscure films which is definitely an inspiration for the visual direction on this tour.
Through partnering with Rane/Serato and using their hardware I now have the ability to map these custom visuals to my music on the fly, adding a brand new element to my live show. Many artists look at visuals as a way to simply customize the blank slates of wall behind them. With Terrorvision it's another dimension of my music. An intense visual backdrop giving my fans a window into where i draw inspiration; my vision as a producer, coming together on stage where the visuals brings it all to life.
Figure "Terrorvision" Tour dates after the jump.
[TSIS PREMIERE] Far East Movement & Rell The Soundbender Team Up With Rapper YG For Massive Collaboration “Grimey Thirsty”Posted in Bangin, Premieres by Jake | Tags: far east movement, Rell the Soundbender
Far East Movement have had a lot of success with collaborations in the past including works with Riff Raff, Schoolboy Q, B.O.B, Dev, Snoop Dogg and more. This time around the 4-part group consisting of Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Spliff, and DJ Virman have enlisted the production of Rell The Soundbender, and a verse by YG on “Grimey Thirsty.” Far East Movement getting YG on this track works perfectly due to the rapper’s typical use of hyphy beats.
The high energy trap foundation is laid down perfectly for both YG and Far East to come in and lay down some party inducing verses. Listen to the premiere of the song below and look out to be able to pick up your copy soon. Enjoy!

[TSIS PREMIERE] LDRU & Yahtzel Release New Massive Trap Song “Maybe” As New Collaborative Project CarmadaPosted in Bangin, Premieres by Jake | Tags: carmada, Future Classic, LDRU, maybe, realise ep, Yahtzel
Producers Yahtzel (Max Armata) and LDRU (Drew Caromdy) have been making waves over the past couple years being most known globally for their releases on the trendsetting Future Classic label joining the ranks of artists like Flume and Chet Faker. The duo have worked together on a previous single "The Only One" which was released earlier this year via Future Classic; sticking to the chilled out styles you might expect from both individual producers.
Well the producers have linked up for a collaborative separate project called Carmada having them both step into some brand new territory, the festival anthem side of things. They have brought a new found level of energy on “Maybe” as crunchy, hard-hitting basslines are blended with melodic synths and grand piano chords. The intro of this tune is a laid-back rendition with sensual vocals teasing a mellow vibe until the song takes a turn crushing with some gritty high-energy bass. You can listen to the exclusive premiere below and pick up "Maybe" on iTunes September 14th. Also stay tuned for Carmada's debut Realise EP which has an expected release in November. Enjoy!
