2012 was one of the biggest years for electronic music and house especially with countless new artists from all over the world gaining international followings. One of the biggest breakthroughs was young Dutch progressive / electro house star Nicky Romero who is only 24. This year he saw quite a lot of success with over 10 different huge charting singles, many of which hitting the #1 spot on Beatport even a few overall #1 spots. On top of his impressive solo anthems he collaborated with just about everyone including: Fedde Le Grand, David Guetta, Zedd, Nervo, ZROQ, Calvin Harris, and even ending the year wit Avicii.
