2013 capped off yet another incredible year for Toronto bass heavyweights Zeds Dead as the infamous duo of DC and Hooks rigorous touring schedule kept them in heavy rotation around the world while continously evolving their sets to incorporate new sub-genre's but, still layering bass undertones into the mix. They spent their last few days of the year with three sold out shows in a two day span while visiting Chicago before jetting off to Lake Tahoe to perform in the woods at SnowGlobe Music Festival, and capped of the NYE run with a performance in Scottsdale, Arizona. This documentary takes a look at the mayhem and hijinks that ensued along Zeds Dead's voyage while also giving us a preview of their new song "Hadouken"; so sit back and watch as the boys open up the doors for the world to see the culmination of the Altered States Tour. Enjoy

Must Watch: Pretty Lights Live Band Light Show Debut at Red Rocks video and new song “Give Your Love Away “Posted in Bangin, News, Video by nick | Tags: 2013, Laser Show, Light Show, Live Band, pretty lights, Production, Recap, Red Rocks, Video
Pretty Lights played his annual 2 night Red Rocks concerts this summer, yet this year changed things significantly by introducing the world to his full live band that accompanied him while playing to alongside a jaw dropping fully custom light and laser show and he just released an official video recap featuring a new song. The group features his past drummer Adam Deitch who is currently also drumming for Break Science and Lettuce. The group also features keyboardist Brian Coogan (New Orleans All-Star), keyboardist Borahm Lee (Break Science), Scott Flynn (John Brown’s Body) and on trombone and Eric Bloom (Lettuce). Both Deitch and Coogan played extensively on Pretty Lights recent incredible album A Color Map of the Sun
It was really a truly unique and amazing experience to witness live music and electronic music fused together like never before. The stage was structured to highlight 4 sections for the live musicians and Derick in them middle acting as the conductor for the revolutionary combination elements. In the words of Derek himself:
My dream has come true. I will be hitting the road for my 2013 fall tour with a FULL, AWESOME LIVE BAND! We will be fusing new, hot production with the live band’s gritty old school hip-hop soul break styles in a way that production and a live band have never been heard together before. “
This recap is done to the soundtrack of “Give Your Love Away”, a brand new Pretty Lights tune, that is great.

Big Gigantic & This Song Is Sick Present Rowdytown II at Red Rocks with support Adventure Club: Date and Ticket InfoPosted in Events, News by nick | Tags: 2013, Adventure Club, Big Gigantic, Red Rocks, Rowdytown
No words could accurately describe how excited I am to announce the return of Rowdytown. Last year we worked with Big Gigantic to help present their first headlining performance at the legendary Colorado venue Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and the event could not have been a bigger hit, see video below. The lineup of openers included a star studded lineup of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Dillon Francis and GRiZ, who have all seriously exploded since the event. The event brought out projection mapping simliar to Amon Tobin on the actual Red Rocks, for the first time in the venue’s history. The event last year sold out weeks in advance and easily went down as one of the top events at Red Rocks of 2012.
Well now Rowdytown is returning to Red Rocks once again on September 28th for Rowdytown II, and we are happy to be apart of the journey. We’ve got Canadian party starters Adventure Club as support for round II. Other openers will be announced in the coming weeks, but rest assured they are pretty amazing. This year is going to go even bigger taking the production limits to the next level. This event is guaranteed to sell much faster than last year, and people were paying crazy amounts from scalpers, SO DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS ONE!!

The world famous TomorrowLand festival which recently announced it would be expanding globally just announced the official location for it’s North American expansion. We got new that it would be taking place over September 27th, 28th and 29th.
The historic first year of this new expansion will be taking place in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia. Close to where the Counterpoint Festival takes place.
I have already heard some rumors for the lineup that I won’t be posting till I get a solid confirmation.. but this is going to be a MASSIVE weekend nobody in the country will want to miss out on. And I have already heard some names that are far outside of the typical house music you would expect from the festival.
Watch the video above for the official reveal. Hope to see you there!
