After viewing the track-list for the highly anticipated Divergent Soundtrack, the collaboration bringing A$AP Rocky and Gesaffelstein together peaked our interest greatly as one of rap's biggest faces combines with one of electronic music's finest producers. "In Distress" see's both artists flexing their capabilities as one with A$AP Rocky letting loose a tirade of fresh verses while Gesaffelstein's French electro / techno relatively reserved foundation supples the same level of darkness featured on his debut album Aleph. Stream the track below and pre-order the most hyped motion picture soundtracks of the year here. Enjoy

Very few bands, singers, hip-hop artists or country stars could sell out successive shows within the same city and even fewer could perform such a feat at separate venues, but not many possess the same level of appeal as internationally recognized producer / DJ Skrillex. Earlier this year, the LA native took over the bay area to deliver six b2b shows; bringing together the likes of Samo Soundboy, Claude VonStroke, GTA, A$AP Rocky and a list of others to join him along the way. The Nest HQ documented the experience and have unleashed an official video recap showcasing all the hijinks, bass drops, and that one time Dave Chappelle surfed the crowd mid Skrillex set. Enjoy

A$AP Rocky – Fashion Killa (Blackbird Blackbird Remix) : Must Hear Chill Indie Dance / Trap Remix [Free Download]Posted in Bangin, Chill by nick | Tags: A$AP Rocky, Blackbird Blackbird, Downtempo, Electronic, Indie Dance, Remix, Trap
“Fashion Killa” from A$AP Rocky just got an unexpected upbeat remix from rising electronic producer Blackbird Blackbird. He adds gives it a unique indie dance meets trap flavor to that when layered with the original rap verses from A$AP, it’s a combination I can’t stop replaying. The drums and synths let you hear A$AP like never before. He has been nice enough to pass this one out as a free download. Enjoy!

“Wild For The Night”, the massive collaboration between A$AP Rocky and Skrillex and Birdy Nam Nam just got a full on music video production. They didn’t cut any corners hear creating a full on production showing A$AP and Skrill riding around and raging in the Dominican Republic. It’s cool to actually see both artists in the video, and not in just some white room. Enjoy!

A$AP Rocky – Long. Live. A$AP. (Bonus Edition) : Rising New York Rapper Drops Debut Album [Album Review]Posted in Chill, Mixtapes / Albums by nick | Tags: A$AP Rocky, Album, Album Review, Chill, Full Album, Hip-Hop, Laid Back, Rap
A$AP Rocky has had a quick rise since his first hit Purple Swag that got him on most people’s maps back in 2011. Then he dropped the Live.Long.A$AP. mixtape and kept the momentum going strong. Then after playing around the country he locked himself away and worked hard on his impressive debut album Long. Live. A$AP. The first single to announce the project was his best track to date, the insanely catchy a “Goldie”. Watch the video here. (Rest of Review Below)
A$AP Rocky – Goldie (Music Video)
Then we were hit with “F*ckin Problems” featuring the loaded lineup of 2 Chainz, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar. Also surfacing was “1 Train” featuring an all star cast of upcoming talent featuring Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, Action Bronson & Big K.R.I.T.
The collaborations didn’t just stick to the hip-hop world. A$AP brought out Santigold for an extra trippy off beat “Hell”. He even jumped on the electronic train and worked with electronic icon Skrillex bass heavy track “Wild For the Night”. On the bonus edition of the album he surprised everyone bringing out Florence Welch for “I Come Apart” (Listen Below).
The entire album really lets us see the different layers of A$AP as an artist. One of the deeper points and possibly my personal favorite track on the album was the suicidal “Phoenix”
After a throughout listen through Long.Live.A$AP, Rocky really managed to capture the raw smoked influence mixtape rapper and evolve him to a point that is underground yet ready for the masses. While still talking about the cliche girls, money, and drugs, he does manage to layer on a certain level of substance. Their was a lot of hype surround Rocky for this release, and the album most defintely did not dissapoint. Enjoy!

A$AP Rocky, A-Trak, & araabMUZIK Perform Live On David Letterman – “Long Live A$AP” & “Wild For the Night (Ft. Skrillex)”Posted in Bangin, Chill, Video by nick | Tags: A$AP Rocky, A-Trak, araabMUZIK, ASAP Rocky, David Letterman, Late Night, Late Night Show
Last week we saw Zedd broke American TV history with the first electronic performance on Late Night Televisision performing “Clarity” alongside Foxes and Alvin Risk. Well A$AP Rocky just peformed two songs on David Letterman and brought along turntablist A-Trak and the human beat machine araabMUZIK to perform live with him. First A$AP drops the title track off his new album “Long Live A$AP”. Then he has A-Trak and araab drop his collaboration with Skrillex “Wild For the Night”. A-Trak and araabMUZIK take the second track and remix is live on television, completely destroying it. Watch this huge moment below, enjoy!

When the tracklist for A$AP Rocky upcoming debut album Long. Live. A$AP got released, electronic fans got excited to see rumors confirmed of A$AP working with dubstep / electronic icon Skrillex. We get our ears on the result, “Wild For The Night”. It is a dope track with some solid production from Skrillex, and dope verses from A$AP. My only complaint would have to be that the beat sounds similar to Skrillex’s remix of “Goin’ In” by Birdy Nam Nam. It is a dope crossover of genre, being recycled or not. This is on the new A$AP album Long. Live. A$AP coming out January 15th. Enjoy!

The release of A$AP Rocky‘s debut album Long.Live.A$AP is creeping up, and we get one the most real songs A$AP has made to date. “Phoenix” is a piano powered spacey ballad produced by the legendary Danger Mouse. Rocky drops his guard touching on some real topics including his past and present and mentioning past american music icons Michael Jackson and Kurt Cobain. It is a refreshing change of pace of his party tracks showing signs of a true artist. I think it’s safe to say that A$AP is on his way up with the release of this album January 15th. You can pre-order now. Enjoy!

A$AP Rocky drops us off the title track “Long Live A$AP” complete with music video off his upcoming Long Live A$AP debut album set to release January 15th, 2013. This video is solid and helps tide us over the seemingly endless wait to his debut. This track has a interesting indie influence chorus that I’m not sure is even his voice. The video has some very interesting imagery, with some possible bigger meaing, leave any interpretations below. Unedited full version of the song below. Enjoy!

A$AP Rocky – 1Train (ft. Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, Action Bronson & Big K.R.I.T.) : Huge Hip-Hop Song from Long Live A$APPosted in Chill by nick | Tags: A$AP Rocky, Action Bronson, ASAP Rocky, Big K.R.I.T., Danny Brown, Joey Bada$$, Kendrick Lamar, Yelawolf
I can’t even remember the last time I saw a track with this many amazing artists all packed on one track. A$AP Rocky recruited an all star cast for the next single “1Train” off his upcoming highly anticipated debut album, Long. Live. A$AP which is set to release on January 15th. Following up F*ckin Problems (Ft. 2 Chainz, Drake, Kendrick Lamar) and Goldie. This track features Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, & Big K.R.I.T.. Every single guest rapper destroys their verse, all adding up to make one of the dopest hip-hops to come out in awhile. My only complaint is not hearing enough of A$AP on the track. Turn this up, enjoy!

It’s a been quite a while since hearing from Big Boi, but now get a very fresh new track “Lines” featuring rapper A$AP Rocky and indie electronic duo Phantogram. This is a very dope complete change of pace then what anybody’s grown to expect from Big Boi. A$AP and Big Boi both throw down some solid bars in between Sarah of Phantogram’s vocals. The unlikely chemsitry of all three works very well. This is the first cut off of Big Boi’s upcoming new album Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors set to release 12/11/12. Enjoy!
