Tigran Mimosa aka MiM0SA has just unleashed the latest full length 21 track free album Future Trill. This genre bending free album incorporates his newer trap and hip-hop influences, while bringing in his downtempo glitchy side. The single we got to preview the release with “SWRV” represents his own progressive take on trap music. He manages to convey a certain level of sexy emotion into his productions unlike anyone else. There were a few stand out favorites for me like the bass heavy bangers “Beast” and “Rollin Up”, as well as the down tempo “Moving On”. Preview part of the album before and enjoy the free download. Strap yourselves for a musical journey. We have picked out a handful of our favorites cuts off the record, but would recommend grabbing the whole release, for free. Turn this up, enjoy.

A$AP Rocky – Long. Live. A$AP. (Bonus Edition) : Rising New York Rapper Drops Debut Album [Album Review]Posted in Chill, Mixtapes / Albums by nick | Tags: A$AP Rocky, Album, Album Review, Chill, Full Album, Hip-Hop, Laid Back, Rap
A$AP Rocky has had a quick rise since his first hit Purple Swag that got him on most people’s maps back in 2011. Then he dropped the Live.Long.A$AP. mixtape and kept the momentum going strong. Then after playing around the country he locked himself away and worked hard on his impressive debut album Long. Live. A$AP. The first single to announce the project was his best track to date, the insanely catchy a “Goldie”. Watch the video here. (Rest of Review Below)
A$AP Rocky – Goldie (Music Video)
Then we were hit with “F*ckin Problems” featuring the loaded lineup of 2 Chainz, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar. Also surfacing was “1 Train” featuring an all star cast of upcoming talent featuring Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, Action Bronson & Big K.R.I.T.
The collaborations didn’t just stick to the hip-hop world. A$AP brought out Santigold for an extra trippy off beat “Hell”. He even jumped on the electronic train and worked with electronic icon Skrillex bass heavy track “Wild For the Night”. On the bonus edition of the album he surprised everyone bringing out Florence Welch for “I Come Apart” (Listen Below).
The entire album really lets us see the different layers of A$AP as an artist. One of the deeper points and possibly my personal favorite track on the album was the suicidal “Phoenix”
After a throughout listen through Long.Live.A$AP, Rocky really managed to capture the raw smoked influence mixtape rapper and evolve him to a point that is underground yet ready for the masses. While still talking about the cliche girls, money, and drugs, he does manage to layer on a certain level of substance. Their was a lot of hype surround Rocky for this release, and the album most defintely did not dissapoint. Enjoy!

Big Boi – Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors (Album) : Incredible Hip-Hop Album Incorporating Many Genres and ArtistsPosted in Chill, Mixtapes / Albums by nick | Tags: Album, Album Review, Big Boi, Chill, Full Album, Hip-Hop, Laid Back, Rap, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors
It is finally upon us, another contender for best hip-hop album of 2012. Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors is the latest album from Big Boi. I had no idea what to expect since his 2010 release, and he blew me away. He made some very smart moves and bringing in a fresh new indie influence. One example was bringing on New York based electronic indie duo Phantogram and Swedish based Little Dragon for a handful tracks, taking Big Boi in a completely new direction. He brought out Wavves for a beach friendly indie flavored “Shoes for Running” also featuring B.o.B.. The album also features the spacey weed induced “She Hates Me” featuring Kid Cudi we got to sample. Another favorite from the release is “Lines” recruting A$AP Rocky alongside Phantogram. AlsoHe has also brought on a full cast of big names including T.I. and Ludacris, Theophilus London, Big K.R.I.T., and few more. With this album Big Boi has progressed far past his days apart of Outkast and has really continued to establish himself as an artist. I would have loved at least a few tracks with Andre 3000, and Big Boi had even made efforts, but ”contractual obligations” kept it from becoming a reality. All in all, Big Boi took some risks with this album, and they left us with one of the best albums of the year. The entire thing is great defintely worth the purchase. You can listen to a few of the tracks below, and grab it through iTunes. Enjoy!

Crystal Castles are back with their third song of their upcoming album III. We got to hear the more eerie side of Alice and Eathan from the first samples off the album with “Wrath of God” and “Plague”, which came with free downloads as well. With this newest track “Affection” we hear are more smooth melodic uplifting side I personally grew to love on their first two albums. The song also features some male vocals from an unnamed source, definitely doesn’t sound like it could be the producer Eathan. Can’t wait to hear the rest of their new album, it’s now available for pre-order through iTunes below. Enjoy!

Cisco Adler the Malibu singer first known for making a few albums with Shwayze just followed up his recent Aloha EP with an album of the same name with 7 new tracks on it. All the songs carry over Cisco’s signature often acoustic fueled summer jams packed with California vibes. He’s recruited a cast of features including G-Eazy, Mod Sun, Pat Brown, Don Carlos, and North Mississippi All Stars. It’s a great album that will take you to a tropical care free state of mind. Enjoy the free download of “Try You”. Also don’t miss the recent music video and download of “Boom Boom Boom” ft. G-Eazy off the album. The album is available through iTunes!

Internationally recognized electronic aritst Calvin Harris has been hard at work on his biggest album to date 18 Months. One of the tracks I was looking forward to most was a monstrous collaboration with Dillon Francis and English rapper Dizzie Rascal on the track “Here 2 China”. The track takes Dillon’s funky hard hitting edge, and Calvin Harris’ smooth mass appeal and comes out with bass heavy BANGER, ready to destroy sound systems across the world. I really hope to see some more future Calvin Harris / Dillon Francis aka Calvin Francis work in the future. Enjoy.

Also Calvin Harris is nice enough to be streaming his entire new album 18 Months for free through his website now. Stream the whole thing. Stay tuned for the release on October 29th (UK), October 30th (USA).
Throughout the last few years Kendrick Lamar has become one of the biggest names in hip-hop and finally delivers his debut album Good Kid M.A.A.D City. It has big name features, insane production, and solid verse throughout. Kendrick deliver more passion and heartfelt emotion then most hip-hop artists you will ever hear. After a few listens, I think this is defintely up there with one of the best albums of 2012. Some of my favorite tracks including the “Backstreet Freestyle” and “M.A.A.D City (Feat. MC Eiht)” and the previously posted “Compton” and “The Recipe” which featured Dr. Dre., as well “The Art of Peer Pressure” and the new Extended Version his current hit “Swimming Pools” . Highly recomend grabbing the whole album through iTunes, you won’t be dissapointed. Cheers to easily one of the best hip-hop albums of 2012, making it an incredible year of music already. Enjoy!

Do you know how to do the Dada? Are you familiar with this memorable Swedish electro house duo? Are you ready for the debut full length album from Dada Life? Throughout the past few years the Swedes have been hard at work creating a strong name for themselves playing festivals across the world, released countless songs, all working up to the release of their debut album The Rules of Dada. It features all of the anthems that were previously released with hilarious music videos like “Rolling Stone T-Shirt”, “Happy Violence”, “Feed the Dada”, and “Kick Out the Epic Motherf*cker” and tons of new ones. I don’t say that lightly, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have gone and created hands down one of the best albums I have ever heard with their freshly released The Heist. It’s an amazing listen all the way through. Macklemore takes storytelling to places I never thought possible transporting you to where he wants to take you on every single track, all with a soundtrack that can’t be beat, produced by Ryan Lewis. If there is an album to buy this year, this is it. It’s so good it make me want to by the deluxe edition hard copy available here, or at least purchase through iTunes here. Enjoy!
UPDATE: “The Heist” is now the #1 album on all of iTunes, this a landmark moment for every independent artist out there!

Dada Life – So Young So High + Unreleased Track from The Rules of Dada : Epic New Electro House SinglesPosted in Bangin by nick | Tags: Album, Dada Life, Electro House, The Rules of Dada
Dada Life are easily one of the most iconic, energetic, and generally awesome electronic acts out there. They have been locked away in between rushing festivals worldwide working on their debut full length album The Rules of Dada. This first song “So Young So High” is a new single off the album that starts with an overly poppy hysterical high pitched vocal that sets the tone of the track. Then builds up to crashing in with their signature energetic electro drops, classic DADA. Also included is a shorter sample of “Boing Clash Boom” another BANGER off the album. Don’t forget The Rules of Dada coming out October 16th! Turn these tracks up, enjoy!
