Alvin Risk – Skyclad : Massive Dubstep Original feat. Alvin Singing [OWSLA]
Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: Alvin Risk, BANGER, Dubstep, Heavy, OWSLAAlvin Risk just let loose “Skyclad”, the first single off his upcoming OWSLA release. It is a emotion filled agressive dubstep banger that shows some serious signs of growth as an artists for Alvin. This is the first song featuring the smooth vocals from Alvin himself, adding a completely different layer of emotion. This song should be listened to proper speakers or headphones at very loud volumes to fully appreciate it. The intro starts out calm and quickly moves to a controlled whilwind of bass contrasting in all the right ways. This follows up an impressive string of official remixes for artists like The Prodigy and Fun.. I can’t wait to hear more original productions from Alvin. This will be available for purchase March 5th (at midnight tonight). Enjoy.

Zedd performs Live Piano Version of “Clarity” ft. Foxes and Alvin Risk LIVE on David Letterman Late Night : 1st EDM Artist Appearance Ever
Posted in Bangin, Mix / Playlist, Video by nick | Tags: Alvin Risk, David Letterman, Electro House, Foxes, Late Night, Late Night with David Letterman, Piano, TV, ZeddLate Night with David Letterman is a very popular late night show in America which gets broadcasted nationally on CBS. The show has been the national debut of countless rising musical acts, which in the past have always been pop, rock, indie, but never an electronic producer. Who better then Zedd to break the pattern and be the first EDM act to appear on the show, and delivering a live piano rendtion of “Clartiy” off his debut album with the same name. Accompanying him is vocalist Foxes, and even Alvin Risk slips in for a cameo adding some additional vocals. He has stated that he always starts his production by first creating the piano line, so this transition makes complete sense. He really kills it, and Foxes does a great job as well. I hope this is the start of more electronic acts making their national debut on David Letterman. Enjoy!

Monsta – Where Did I Go (Dillon Francis & Kill Paris Remix) + Messiah (Alvin Risk Remix) : Massive Official Moombahfunk Remixes
Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: Alvin Risk, Dillon Francis, Kill Paris, Monsta, Moombahfunk, Moombahton, RemixWhoa.. I thought Skrillex and Nero’s remix of “Holdin’ On” was going to be the biggest remix on Monsta‘s debut Monsta EP. Well I’m reconsidering after hearing these HUGE remixes from Alvin Risk and a collaboration between Dillon Francis and Kill Paris for a result that they call Moombahfunk. It’s got the loose yourself energy of a Dillon Franci’s moombahton influence swith the souldful groove from Kill Paris’s funk. The vocals from Monsta get smashed and reworked in all the right places making a completely new dance anthem. Then Alvin Risk breaks out the chaotic moomahton speed cannons with an all out raging version of “Messiah”. You can pick this up in the new Monsta EP that just got released on Beatport. Who’s did you like the most? Enjoy!

Halo 4 Soundtrack – Nemesis (Alvin Risk Remix) + Green & Blue (KOAN Sound Remix) : Halo Recruits Official Electronic Remixes
Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: Alvin Risk, BANGER, glitch-hop, Halo 4, KOAN Sound, Moombahton, Remix, SoundtrackAlvin Risk and KOAN Sound among a slew of other electronic names have gotten recruited to make some official remixes for the upcoming Halo 4 video game, simliar to when Skrillex got recruited to make his massive Reptile’s Theme for the latest Mortal Kombat video game. Smart move on video game companies to work with these buzzing new names. Alvin Risk took “Nemesis” from the soundtrack and turned it into one of his signature chaotic moombah bombs. It’ll get you moving right from the beginning. Look below for KOAN Sound’s take on the soundtrack as well.
Nemesis (Alvin Risk Remix)
KOAN Sound, who we got the exclusive download of their track “Sly Fox” a few weeks back remixed the track “Green & Blue”, creating quite the opposite of Alvin’s. It’s more of down-tempo funky glitch hop bass track. It still packs the bass, but goes on the slower melodic side. Still incredibly well done, and doesn’t let you get bored. The release of both of these and the entire soundtrack available on October 22nd. Enjoy!

Skrillex & Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley – Make It Bun Dem After Hours Remix EP [EXCLUSIVE STREAM]
Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: Alvin Risk, BANGER, Bass Music, Brodinski, Damian Marley, Dubstep, Electro, Ep, Heavy, Remix, SkrillexA little while back Skrillex teamed up with the legendary Damian Marley to create a reggae infused bass heavy BANGER. A few months later and Skrillex has recruited 6 remixes of the track for an official Make It Bun Dem After Hours Remix EP that’s getting released through OWSLA / Big Beat on August 28th. As a gift there letting us stream the entire EP before it comes out. It’s got an interesting range of remixes all having a very weird offbeat flavor. Flinch drops a trap remix, Alvin drops an insane Moombah bass heavy assault. Possibly my favorite was Brodinski‘s house / techno remix which has a grimey edge to it. Which one were you feeling? Enjoy!

Skrillex – Ruffneck Bass (Alvin Risk Remix) (HD Live Version) + : Funky Heavy Electro / Moombahton Remix
Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: Alvin Risk, BANGER, Dubstep, Electro, Filthy, Moombahton, Remix, SkrillexToday I’ve got two tracks from an amazing producer we’ve only briefly featured on the OWLSA free treats album, not sure how.. He’s actually one of my favorite new producers, and his name is Alvin Risk for those who don’t know. He’s got a super funky style ranging from Electro to Dubstep to some Moombahton. This a live cut of his remix to this massive “Ruffneck Bass” by Skrillex. It’s got some reggae parts in it, not sure if that’s part of the actual remix or not.. We don’t typically post live versions of songs, but this sounded so epic we had to share it with you all. I love that drop.. so different. We’ll keep you posted as details about this track getting released, until then here’s a low quality radio rip to tide you over. Turn it up, enjoy!
