Avicii – You Make Me (Throttle Remix) : Must Hear Electro House / Nu-Disco Remix

Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: , , ,

Avicii’s hugely successful single “You Make Me”  just got an incredible electro-house sprinkled with nu-disco remix from fresh new 17 year old Melbourne producer Throttle. He layers in some new melodies while arranging the original vocals and piano line perfectly. It leads up to a funky upbeat drop that you can believe came out of Madeon. We have the full stream of the song below and you can support it by purchasing via Beatport.

Avicii – New Album Promo Mix 2013 : Including New Album Tracks

Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: , , , , , ,

Avicii played main stage at this year’s Ultra Music Festival and through down a contreversial set debuting tracks off his new album. He collaborated with artists such as country star Mac Davis, bluegrass musician Dan Tyminski, singer Audra Mae, soul artist Aloe Blacc, Incubus guitarists Mike Einziger and Ben Kenney. His set got critsized for having too much of a country  and live influence. The live instrumentation may have been a little to overwhelming for the DJ mold seen at Ultra. The funniest part is that people hated on Avicii when he would played “Levels” non stop and other typical house tracks, and now hate on the guy for stepping outside of the box and bringing in live instrumentation to house music.

He just let loose “Promo Mix 2013″ featuring a lot of the tracks he debuted at his live set. The mix basically sounds the Avicii you know with some adiditonal live elements. It spans from progressive house to some gritty electro action. Loving what I have heard so far. Listen and let us know what you think? Enjoy!

Diplo & Friends – Avicii Guest Mix : Must Hear Surprising Multi Genre Mix from Swedish Superstar

Posted in Bangin, Mix / Playlist by nick | Tags: , , , , , ,

Diplo has brought out quite the variety of his friend DJ’s to do guest mixes for his weekly Diplo & Friends Radio Show, yet I don’t think anyone saw this coming. He shockingly brought Swedish superstar Avicii, which Diplo hilariously reassures us how he is indeed friends with Avicii in the mix. Do not worry as the mix starts with 10 minutes of non electronic throw back tracks that might throw some of you off, trust that this is easily one of the best guest mixes we have heard in awhile. The mix quickly progresses to a fitting D.A.N.C.E. by Justice and Eric Prydz throwback. He then moves through a fantastic mix of refreshing disco and unexcepted tracks. He even includes original song from Etta James sampled in Levels. It makes sense that he would showcase his abilities as a DJ and stray away from his typical succescingle progressive house singles. This mix really grounds him as a DJ and shows that he is still very much tapped into the underground, and not a sold out commercial DJ despite his quick rise to worldwide fame. Sit back and really peek into this mix and see a different side of Avicii. Enjoy!

Posted in Chill by nick | Tags: , , , , ,

Let me introduce those unaware to Choo Jackson.. a nice fresh face we haven’t featured on the site yet. It’s produced by Tecknowledy & Avicii as it was labeled.. aka this guy guy Tecknowledgy sampled “Sleep” by Avicii and made a real dope hip-hop beat for Choo to go in on. Thi is one of Avicii’s older more underground sounding track and it makes for the perfect sample to go throughout. Choo has nice mellow flow . Thanks to all the readers for submitting the tip on this track, download coming soon. Enjoy!

Avicii ft. Mike Posner – Stay With You (Preview) : Dance / House Anthem

Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: , , , , , , , ,

Avicii recruits Mike Posner for vocals on his latest house anthem. It’s got an older Avicii feel filled to the brim with uplifting piano lines. Some might get a little turned off by Mike’s vocals, but they do work with the overly poppy house track. I could really see this track being Avicii’s true first North American radio single. What do you think? Are you feeling it? Enjoy the preview taken from his Creamfields set below. Overline extended the preview to let you enjoy it a little bit more. Stay tuned for official track name, release details, etc. Enjoy!
