Easily one of the most exciting names in bass music right now is Montreal's own Snails, who we first introduced last year with the premiere of his Bubble Gun VIP. We have since followed up his debut release a remix of "Through the Night", a collab track with ETC!ETC! titled "RUBBR", and most recently the original "Dirty Raxxx". With Skrillex, Datsik, Jack U, DJ Snake and other notable producers / DJs featuring his tracks in their recent sets, Snails name is growing by the minute and his latest release will surely cause an uproar during the impending summer festival season. "SLUGZ" is a genre blending bass assault taking elements of dubstep and trap to create something perfectly brutal. This release comes out via Montreal powerhouse label Kannibalen Records and is available for purchase on Beatport along with a B-Side of Dirty Raxxx, which is finally available in high quality. Enjoy!

Pretty Lights has been one of the few electronic artists to never dive into the world of having other artists remix his songs, so when I heard that he was enlisting an all star cast for official remixes for the first time ever, for every track on his most recent album nonetheless, I almost lost it. On December 10th, the 16 track A Color Map Of the Sun Remixes album will release through Pretty Light Music for free and iTunes.
Today we get our the stream of the entire album with artists ranging from expected PLM favorites like Break Science, Michal Menert, SuperVision, Paul Basic and Elliot Lipp to unexpected bass heavyweights 12th Planet and Datsik. He has also enlisted a cast of some of the hottest new names in electronic music GRiZ, ODESZA, heRobust, Opiuo, Blood Diamonds, Culprate, Two Fresh and more. The entire release is very eclectic and gives the album a completely new spin. For those waiting to hear your favorite Pretty Lights songs in a whole new light, the wait is over. My personal favorites might have to be ODESZA’s take on ‘One Day They’ll Know’, the GRiZ spin on ‘Vibe Vendetta’ both personally competing with the originals for me. You can stream the entire album below thanks to Rolling Stone for premiering it and the Pretty Lights team for letting us feature it. Enjoy.
