Yes.. Candyland went there. Possiby the biggest dance record of all time “One More Time” from Daft Punk just got a trapped out OG remix from Candyland, the group responible of also somehow trapping out Darude “Sandstrom” and PSY “Gangnam Style”. It has some really wild samples like a bell ringing all coming together seamlessly. It works unbelievably well. Enjoy Daft Punk like never before!

The Santa Barbara duo Candyland are off to an impressive year with the very successful release of the Bring the Rain EP, getting signed with YMCM, and now breaking 30k Facebook fans. To honor the occasion they recruited Brown & Gammon to flip their lead single “Bring the Rain”. Instead of the bass heavy glitch-hop or dubstep you might be expecting from the bass fiends Brown & Gammon, they let loose and groovy Nu-Disco heater. This remix lets you see the song in a completely different light really letting you focus on the vocals. They are asking that you like their facebook if you haven’t already to unlock the free download. What do you think of the change of pace from Brown and Gammon?

Wow.. It is incredible watching musicians careers progress, and Candyland are most defintely some of these. We first posted the bass heavy Santa Barbara based duo back in late 2010 with their Rick Ross dubstep bootleg, since then, the group has became a nationally touring group, has won multiple Beatport remix contests including a Skrillex one, and recently got signed to Young Money Entertainment. Just recently the duo announced they would be releasing their biggest project to date, Bring the Rain EP set to release on Spinnin Records. For this world famous label, they have delivered their most impressive work to date Bring the Rain EP which released today everywhere. This 7 track EP spans from Electro House to Dubstep and both a Glitch Hop and Drum and Bass track slipped in. It really shows how incredibly diverse and talented the duo is. Listen to the entire EP below and support by purchasing through Beatport. This might be one of the the biggest moments in their career so far, but it is certainly just the start of a very successful career for the duo. Enjoy!

One of the HUGE tracks off of Krewella‘s Play Hard EP “Can’t Control Myself” gets a dirty reworking by Santa Barbara, CA based Candyland. It’s got wobbles, yet hits like an electro track. It gets gritty, while still letting Krewella’s seductive vocals shine through. Of course it is free, download, enjoy! Also don’t miss Candyland’s OG trap remixes of “Gangnam Style” and “Sandstorm”.

PSY – Gangnam Style Music Video + (Candyland OG Trap Remix) : Hilarious Korean Electronic Video with OG Trap RemixPosted in Bangin by nick | Tags: BANGER, Candyland, Electronic, Hip-Hop, PSY, Rap, Remix, Trap
Alright so I just saw the video above.. “Gangnam Style” by PSY.. and at the time I’m posting it, has over 185 million views, and got uploaded July 15th. That is insane, but not nearly as insane as the video itself. It’s one of the funniest most entertaining music videos I’ve ever seen, with a very unqiue fast paced blend of rapping over an electronic music. There is very little english besides “Sexy Lady”, but that doesn’t take away from how epic it is. The first time I was pretty confused, then by end of the second time through I was starting to pick up the Gangnam Style moves. What do you think about Psy?

California based duo Candyland, who’s dropped popular remixes like “Sandstorm (OG Trap Remix)” or “Rick Ross – Hustlin (Candyland Dubstep Remix)”, just recently broke 10,000 facebook fans and ask their fans what song to remix, and this won. So we get the OG Trap remix to Gangnam style, which is a chilled out trap remix.

I view the song “Sandstorm” by Darude as one of the first electronic songs that a huge amount of the Y-Generation Americans ever heard. I’ve featured Vaski’s fitlhy dubstep take on the old school anthem, and now we get a fresh new “OG remix” from Candyland, that’s got a hip hop vibe. This a Trap remix, simliar to Flosstradamus’ Total Recall EP which has the similar style. This fresh new take has been on repeat since hearing it. Turn it up, enjoy!

Some remixes just sound bad, and others work so well. Well today I’ve got a very crunchy remix to the hip hop classic ‘Stay Fly’ by Three 6 Mafia. Santa Barbara, California based Candyland flipped this track into a bass blasting anthem with massive dubstep drops. I really love the high pitched noises on the drop really giving some more energy. Don’t miss their Rick Ross – Hustlin’ dubstep remix as well. Turn up the bass for this one, enjoy!

Today I’ve got a real massive new dubstep anthem of a track that’s been dying for a great dubstep reworking. Well Candyland, a group we just started working with on TSIS, took the Rick Ross track ‘Still Hustlin’ and broke it down, then filled it to the brim with bass. It still maintains the original Rick Ross swagger, with an added amount of dubstep filth. It gets pretty dirty, but not enough to scare away the non dubstep fans. This song sounds great anywhere, but real crunchy on some massive subs! Turn up the bass, enjoy!
