Vic Mensa is easily one of the most exciting rappers on the come up who's been the world's radar since his infectious single "Down On My Luck". Well today we have the music video for a completely different sounding single "Feel That". The video starts off with Vic taking some variation of acid through his ear, then things get weird. From tripped out collages of him, to a neon trampoline party and even a cameo from Chance the Rapper and Chanel West Coast, the video lives up to the song. I have a feeling this is the start of pushing "Feel That" as a single, which I have no problem with. No details on a release date yet, so watching the video will have to do in the mean time. Enjoy!

Exclusive Behind The Scenes Footage Of Skrillex & Friends Rehearsing Before Bonnaroo “SuperJam” [FULL SETLIST]Posted in Bangin, Events, Video by nick | Tags: Big Gigantic, Bonnaroo, Chance the Rapper, Fatman Scoop, Janelle Monáe, Mickey Hart of The Grateful Dead, Robby Kreiger of The Doors, Skrillex, Superjam, Thundercat, Warpaint, Zedd
Bonnaroo is possibly one of the most diverse music festivals across the globe and one of the things that makes it so special is the unique "SuperJam" sets where musicians from all styles of music collaborate for once in a lifetime performances.
We reported a few months back about the announcement of Skrillex's SuperJam bringing out Big Gigantic to help set the tone just right. This is also the first ever SuperJam in Bonnaroo's history to be focused around electronic music with rappers, R&B singers, and live musicians filling out the spaces. The occasion called for Skrillex to meet with his star studded cast of band mates the week leading up to the festival to rehearse their set. In the exclusive behind the scenes footage below, we see Skrillex jaming out with the likes of legendary New Orleans rapper Mystikal, comedian / pianist Craig Robinson, both Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken of Big Gigantic, Fatman Scoop and many others.
The actual SuperJam took place on Saturday night at the festival and damn it was legendary. Ring leaders Skrillex and Big Gigantic's list of "friends" included so much raw musical talent we hope we aren't missing anyone. The list of friends includes Zedd, Robby Kreiger of The Doors, Mickey Hart of The Grateful Dead, Damian Marley, Chance the Rapper, A$AP Ferg, Layrn Hill, Janelle Monae, Warpaint, Thundercat, and the surprise of Fatman Scoop, Mystikal, and Craig Robinson on the keys.
The set itself included countless covers of music outside of electronic foundations with a new set of artists coming in every 3 – 4 songs and the entire jam lasting close to three hours in length. In the truest of ways, it was the first ever Super Jam with an electronic focus to happen in front of a live audience and those who were lucky enough to witness the spectacle were treated to the rawness of creative expression in todays modern form. Those who were lucky enough to be there watching the pefroamnce with us are the only ones lucky enough to ever experience this once in a lifetime "Jam". You can view the video below of some of the madness that took place and the photo's taken. Enjoy

Skrillex and Big Gigantic Will Be Having a Superjam at Bonnaroo With Damien Marley, Zedd, Robby Kreiger of The Doors, Chance the Rapper & Many MorePosted in Bangin, Events by nick | Tags: 2014, Big Gigantic, Bonnaroo, Chance the Rapper, Damian Marley, Skrillex, Superjam, Zedd
Bonnaroo is one of the largest and most legendary music festivals in the world and is infamous for it's once in a lifetime "Superjams" between some of the most amazing live acts in music. With electronic music truly making it's mark in America they have switched things up and built excitement letting it be known that Skrillex and Friends would be this year's "Superjam".
Well now we have the info and Skrillex has brought out Big Gigantic to help run the superjam, which is fitting giving their hybrid approach to electronic and live music. They list of friends includes Zedd, Robby Kreiger of The Doors, Mickey Hart of The Grateful Dead, Chance the Rapper, Janelle Monae, Warpaint, Thundercat and we can expect to see much much more during the actual appearance.
This sounds like the recipe for one of the most epic fusions of both electronic and live music, ever. If you can't make it out to Bonnaroo this year then you might just have to hope this is included in the live stream of the festival.

Combine this with the signature acid rap flow of prominent lyricist Chance the Rapper and the end result is a lucidly soulful release to vibe out with from start to finish. The experiment continues on in 2014 as our top breakout hip-hop artist from last year, Chicago native Chance the Rapper, brings his bubbling acid rap style and Social Experiment band to singer / songwriter Mapei inspiringly fresh single "Don't Wait". With the original lyrics still left intact, Chance's verbal addition is as smooth as ever with sexual references, weed related undertones, and witty puns about life on tour on display. Though release details for the remix are still unknown, you can stream this fresh hip-hop track below and check back here for more info when it becomes available! Enjoy

The buzz surrounding producer / DJ extraordinaire Skrillex and rapper Chance the Rapper unexpected time in the studio is the talk of the music world currently with the potential for future collaborations at stake (see above in studio alongside Mike Will Made It). Skrillex unleashed the first of their sessions at his intimate Brooklyn show apart of his Takeover tour last night. The production doesn't sound like your typical Skrillex track and is more of a hip-hop song as opposed to a dubstep banger with Chance's charismatic vocals abundant throughout the length of it. Regardless of this being a very rough quality camera video, it gives us the first sample of what sounds like some serious chemistry between the artists. Enjoy

Must Listen: Ellie Goulding – Life Round Here (Ft. Angel Haze) (James Blake Cover) : Indie / Hip-HopPosted in Bangin, Chill by nick | Tags: Angel Haze, Chance the Rapper, Cover, Ellie Goulding, Hip-Hop, indie, James Blake
English angel Ellie Goulding linked up with Brooklyn rapper Angel Haze for an beautiful cover of James Blake's "Life Round Here". We essentially have a female version of the succesful remix of the song featuring Chance the Rapper, with Angel Haze taking over his spot on the song while Ellie manages to fill James Blake's chorus and verse. The combination of the two is nothing short of incredible as they leave listeners with quite the uplifting ballad of a cover. We can only hope this leads to future work between the two talented female vocalists. Enjoy.
