The multitalented Chance The Rapper has recently been exploring his interest in film and has even started acting in short films. Now we get a “short film” music video for “Sunday Candy,” which will appear on Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment’s forthcoming album Surf. Filmed in the setting of what seems like a 1950’s musical set, The Social Experiment brings us the very entertaining visual interpretation of this excellent song in the form of a short musical as Chance shows off his dance moves. Chance tweeted "I'm revisiting my interest in film" so could expect to see more theatrical performances from him down the road.

Chicago based rapper, Towkio, who is a part of Vic Mensa and Chance the Rapper's Save Money crew, has just shared the latest song from his upcoming mixtape .Wav Theory. This follows up the previously surfaced "Involved," which featured Vic Mensa and had production from Kaytranada.
Today's song "Heaven Only Knows" features Chance the Rapper, production from Lido, and vocals from Chicago singer Eryn Allen Kane. Towkio starts things off, followed by Chance with both laying down some amazing vereses. Eryn Allen Kane provides the addiitonal vocals which help tie it all together. We can only hope to see all these artists collaborate on something more in the future. SXSW in Austin is one of the craziest, biggest gatherings of live music in entire world, and we are extremely happy to announce that we will be returning down there once again!!
Last year we teamed up with Scoremore, who is one of Texas' premiere live promoters responsible for some of the best events in Hip-hop, electronic, and festivals like the genre smashing JMBLYA, on top of the legendary SXSW afterparties including the ILLMORE. Well last year we linked up with Scoremore's JMBLYA festival and Pink Dolphin to present our huge event at Austin Music Hall with Steve Aoki, Wiz Khalifa, Vic Mensa and much more.
We are happy to announce that we have teamed up with Scoremore and JMBLYA once more alongside TSIS long-time friend Chance the Rapper to throw one of the most epic SXSW parties of all time.
Chance the Rapper and The Social Experiment will be headlining and curating the evening with support from an unbelieavable lineup featuring Raury, Kevin Gates, Kehlani, Pomo, Goldink, Tory Lanez, Towkio, Salva, Smoke Ono, Sweater Beats and many many more!
The best part of this SXSW event is that it its completely FREE and open to the public because we love you all and want to party with you. There are a VERY limited amount of tickets, so go and grab the free tickets from the link below.

Just days ago Chance the Rapper linked up with Action Bronson on the forever replayable "Baby Blue." Today he links up with LA producer Nosaj Thing on "Cold Stares" taken from his forthcoming album. These two have proved to make amazing things happen when they work together as they have done so on “Paranoia” off the Chicago rapper’s Acid Rap mixtape.
The eerie, minimalist production on “Cold Stares” provides the perfect base for Chance to offer his somber crooning and a spoken word verse, showing us a different side of Chance. He has been working on both a collaborative project with his Social Experiment band with Donnie Trumpet, as well as his highly anticipated debut studio album. Nosaj Thing’s album Fated is due May 5th via Innovative Leisure. Enjoy!

As Action Bronson continues to approach the March 24th release of his highly antipated debut studio album Mr. Wonderful, we get our hands on one of the most buzzed cuts on the release. "Baby Blue" is a collaboration with Chance the Rapper and is produced by UK legend Mark Ronson. The chemistry of both rappers is off the charts over Ronson's unbeatble prodcution. Enjoy!

Chicago hosts the Louder Than A Bomb youth poetry festival and during it's 15th anniversary Chi town's very own Chance the Rapper drops us off a light hearted treat. He changes things up and beatboxes and instead leaves rapping duties to Alec Baldwin. He manages to read off lines from Carl Sandburg’s poem “Chicago.” Watch the unexpected clip above. Enjoy!
As we approach Christmas day, the gifts do not stop coming in the form of new music from some of our favorite artists.
Today we get something special from established DC rapper Wale and mixmaster and Fool's Gold label head A-Trak as they deliver a brand new full length mixtape appropriately titled 'Festivus'.
The tape, mixed and curated, by A-Trak features Wale rapping on every single track, with a massive list of guest features. They have brought out the likes of A$AP Ferg, Pusha T, Ab-Soul, Chance the Rapper & The Social Experiement and more. (Full track-list below)
While most of the tracks don't carry out a unique holidy aesthetic, they are all solid tracks. Chance the Rapper does however mange to stay in Christmas spirit on his cut "Friendship Heights" on the tape.
This mixtape is released as something fun for the fans as a precursor to Wale's upcoming studio album 'The Album About Nothing' which is set to cover more real topics. Enjoy!

One of the next artists to explode out of the unstoppable Chicago rap scene is young rapper Lucki Eck$ who’s really turned some heads this year.
The talented Chicago rapper brought out the city’s current star Chance the Rapper to add the perfect intro verse to his latest song “Stevie Wonder”. Chance steps up and delivers some darker, less comical lines which fit the track perfectly. Lucki finishes the track off with a smooth gritty verse showcasing why he has so much promise. The instrumental is by Chicago’s premiere producer Young Chop who gives us an atmospheric, slightly-broken downtempo beat that both rappers really nail.

Last month Chance the Rapper released details about his newest project, a brand new full-length album centered around his trumpet player in “The Social Experiment” band. Nico Segal aka Donnie Trumpet, is here to tell his story with Chano by his side. The album is going to be called Surf and today we get the first song “Sunday Candy”.
The song's sounds feature some impressive drums and horns as expected, with some guest vocals from Jamila Woods adding just the right edge.
This is what Nico had to say about the track: "It's my curation, but then bringing it to the table with all these beautiful people and including them in their own way. Jamila sang on that hook, then I brought it to the collective. Peter added some great layers of texture and helped produce, Nate added a bunch of drums, tons of our friends from Chicago played instruments and added their ideas."

Who's up for some Sunday cartoons (not the kind that you watched as a kid)? Chance the Rapper made his second TV appearance last night by supplying the voice for a cartoon Bob Marley in Adult Swim’s show Black Dynamite. The Chicago rapper seemed right at home dishing up a cool Jamaican accent, imitating the legend and keeping his signature vocal tonnage. As expected, "Bob" lives up to the Marley name, lighting up multiple oversize joints and sweet talking many of the show's female characters throughout the episode. Erika Badu's distinct voice is also featured in the episode, as both a hilarious prostitute and Marley's real-life wife Rita. Pour yourself a bowl of cereal and watch the rip of the full cartoon below. Enjoy!
Chance the Rapper continues to be one of the most exciting new voices in hip-hop while managing to stay completely independent. The lack of a major label has not prevented the flow of music, as we've seen a series of free singles released alongside his band The Social Experiment in the past few months like the Wonder Everyday (Arthur Theme), No Better Blues and I Am Very Very Lonely among others. So it did not come as a huge surprise, when Chance revealed in a recent Billboard article that he has been working on quite a bit of new music – a few albums worth of material – and we can expect the first one by the end of the year.
The first album will be called Surf and highlights The Social Experiment band member Nico Segal aka Donnie Trumpet, a versatile musician and trumpet player of the group. To make things even better this album will be available completely for free and we can expect it before the end of the year, leaving us feeling like the holidays are coming early!
Surf is the first project since Acid Rap that Chance is heavily involved in, and we can only imagine that it will be some of his strongest work to date. Furthermore, the rapper went on to reveal some of the collaborations he has the in works mentioning the likes of Migos, J. Cole, Frank Ocean, Emily Kang and even some guidance from Rick Rubin.
We will keep you posted as more info rolls in on Surf.
Here's his collaboration with James Blake on the "Round Here Remix" that is such a hit

Earlier this year Chicago local G Herbo aka Lil Herb recruited two of the city’s finest rappers for a huge remix of his song "Fight Or Flight”. The song went relatively under the radar and has been given a new life thanks to a fresh new music video. Seeing a Chicago legend Common and the city’s new star Chance the Rapper link up with Lil Herb makes up for some amazing chemistry with all rappers killing their verses. The video follows Herb around Chi with some new clips covering the city’s rampant violence.
