One of the next artists to explode out of the unstoppable Chicago rap scene is young rapper Lucki Eck$ who’s really turned some heads this year.
The talented Chicago rapper brought out the city’s current star Chance the Rapper to add the perfect intro verse to his latest song “Stevie Wonder”. Chance steps up and delivers some darker, less comical lines which fit the track perfectly. Lucki finishes the track off with a smooth gritty verse showcasing why he has so much promise. The instrumental is by Chicago’s premiere producer Young Chop who gives us an atmospheric, slightly-broken downtempo beat that both rappers really nail.

We couldn't be more thrilled to have partnered up with North Coast Music Festival taking place in Chicago, IL for it's fifth annual Labor Day Weekend celebration event. Last year, our TSIS interactive booth was featured on the grounds of Union Park, which allowed fans to actually meet and take pictures with some of your favorite artists. We also have some limited summer TSIS shirts and tanks for you to rock available at the booth. Also we have a few surpises throghout the wekend so make sure to tuned to the TSIS Twitter for more info.
This year we have one of our best cast of artists participating yet, with "add number" different producers / DJs involved. You can see all the times below.
All you have to do is show up before the time announced for that particular artist and you can meet them. We also have a professional photographer there ready to capture the memories and will be posting the pictures in a dedicated page full of albums and on our Facebook Page after the festival. Make sure you show up early as some of the bigger artists tend to have long lines and they can only be there for a limited amount of time!
Here are the meet & greet times and the artists that are involved this year below
The Thissongissick booth (where the meet and greets will be hosted) is located right by the 312 stage and next to the water station! Festival map after the jump
The atmosphere in Chicago this past weekend made for a memorable three days as the entire Thissongissick.com team and our one of a kind interactive tent assembled on the grounds of Soldier Field for the 3rd annual Spring Awakening Music Festival. We provided festival goers the opportunity to attend our biggest Meet and Greet yet as the likes of Feed Me, DJ Snake, 3LAU, A-Trak, Tommy Trash, Paper Diamond, DVBBS, Big Gigantic, and Borgore took time to stop by our tent to take pictures and sign autographs with fans. The experience itself was very humbling as we were able to interact with our readers on a personal level while extending the experieince to them of meeting some of their favorite artistis / DJs. We have uploaded all the photos from the meet & greets to our Facebook Page with links to them all below and you can tag yourself and friends in the post. Big thanks to React, all the tour managers for making the experience possible and Da Black Swan Photography for capturing all the moments and we look forward to being apart of the festival for years to come.
We have also included an album of some of our favorite shots captured of the weekend from some of the most high energy sets we've seen in quite some time. These aren't all the live shots, you can find all of them still getting rolled out through the TSIS Instagram here.

Depaul University in Chicago, IL put together an extremely intimate show with a hip-hop artist who's blossomed before our very eyes over the last year. Chance the Rapper was the guest of honor as he took over Lincoln Hall's stage and delivered tracks off his breakout mixtape Acid Rap along with debuting some brand new material. Here we have a video of him bringing out R&B star Jeremih to unveil their unexpected collaboration in front of a packed student body. The song seems like the biggest leap in the R&B side of things for Chance, and what we can hear sounds incredible. Can't wait to see a release for this one, but for now you can abuse replaying the video below. Enjoy.
Chance the Rapper & Jermih Debut New Music
The Cool Kids, one of the most exciting rap duos comprised of Chuck Inglish and Sir Michael Rocks, recently announced they would be reuniting to release a brand new mixtape / album titled Shark Week. With it being early in the new year, the duo have quenched our thirst for new music by dropping two original tracks today we can expect to be on the project; first being "Computer School" which is a true chilled out welcome back track. We also get "Chop" featuing The HBK Gang, which is your typical Cool Kids party heater. Both tracks are very hot and have us anxiously waiting for their highly anticipated Shark Week project. One thing is certain, The Cool Kids are back. Enjoy!

My story has changed quite a lot since moving to Boulder, Colorado and starting Thissongissick back in 2010. My name is Nick Guarino and this is Thissongissick.com. We've grown a lot since, but the original goal has always stayed the same: making it easier for you to discover sick new music that you've never heard before. In high school I would make mix cd's for my friends to show them all the new music I was discovering. Now, through TSIS, we work with musicians and record labels from all over the world to showcase a variety of the freshest electronic, hip-hop, indie, and alternative music to a global following that is comprised of millions of music lovers in over 110 countries - every single month.
