Bass icon Flux Pavillion who has helped establish dubstep released his latest Blow the Roof EP which dares to go outside of his dubstep box. He brings electro house and breaks into the picture, with his own massive twist. This release further estblishes how forward thinking and versatile he is as an artist. Although he let out a good chunk of the release, hearing it all together really gives you the complete story he is trying to tell. We already got to sample The full version of  “Do or Die” with Childish Gambino really blew me away and instantly became one of the my favorite from both Flux Pavilion and Childish Gambino . “Double Edge (ft. Sway & P Money)” is Flux’s spin on the breaks style which he proceeds to do a damn good job of it. He brings back “I Can’t Stop”, which was one of his most iconic track for a brand new “I Still Can’t Stop”. It recharges the classic bass hit with the perfect crunchy yet sublte rebirth. Every single track on here is truly remarkable, all working together to form a cohesive project that is easily the most impressive piece of work to date for someone who continues to pave the path for bass music worldwide. Childish Gambino’s debut album Camp is coming out on November 15th. Today I’ve got another track off the album, and it’s a powerful hip hop track complete with amazing production and those fantastic storytelling lyrics from Gambino. His lyrics are so vivid and unlike those of any other rapper I’ve heard. He’s got such a unique style using lyrics with oddly specific details, I’m assuming they must be true. This, as most of tracks, is one that you should listen to about 3-4 times through to really catch everything. It’s got a nice full choir chorus giving the song that solid touch showing that this isn’t a mixtape, but an album. Check it out, enjoy!

Today I’ve got some late hot fire from Childish Gambino. It’s been crazy to see his rap career explode over the past year. Freaks and Geeks is still one of the coolest sounding tracks I’ve heard in awhile, also don’t forget his Kanye West – All of the Lights (remix). Well now we get a new track that’s just as sick. Childish Gambino – Bonfire : Must Hear New Hip Hop

Childish Gambino is finally back with a new track. He’s dropped a few online hits this year so far, including an impressive All of the Lights remix and The Longest Text Message on top of his EP featuring Freaks and Geeks. This track has a more standard hip hop feel, as opposed to his indie influenced track. It starts with a siren, then the drums come in and Gambino destroys. He’s got some great lines throughout, making me like it almost as much as Freaks and Geeks. I did enjoy the unique beats that he would go over, as opposed to this more common hip hop theme. Childish Gambino – Freaks and Geeks: Too Sick New Rap Song

Earlier this week I posted a Brenton Duvall remix featuring Childish Gambino , (also known as Donald Glover, or ‘Troy’ on Community), and you guys loved it. I’ve had countless readers tell me that I really need to post some Childish Gambino and for some reason I just was never sold on the guy, but that’s all changed. His latest single he’s dropped in spirit of his upcoming mixtape is by far one of the sickest rap songs I’ver heard awhile. It’s got a real chill, calm,  indie-esque beat, that’s a mixture of a movie soundtrack and a hip-hop beat combined together for a really unique fresh feel. He absolutely slays this song with his lyricism and flow. The first time listening to it it was like the first time I heard some old Lil Wayne, as far as being blown away by the lyricism and flow. I’ve listened to this song at least 20 times in the last couple days since it dropped, and now I’ve watched the music video countless timed as well.
