Childish Gambino

"Telegraph Ave" from Childish Gambino's Because The Internet album is one of the rapper's most catchy tracks to date and today we get a fresh remix of the song, approved by Gambino himself.

LA based producer and DJ, Jesse Rose has a huge level of underground respect with residencies across the globe; including German's legendary Berghain. He's taken on the track, and given it a perfecetly simple twist. Highlighting the vocals, and adding classic house drums, and light organ synths.

This is what Gambino had to say about the track referencing Pharrell's iconic hip-hop production group:

"This is what it would sound like if the Neptunes made house!"

Childish Gambino Releases Hilarious Music Video For “Sober”

Childish Gambino Sober

Childish Gambino is an artist who does not take his music videos lightly, delivering basically short films for almost every release like “Sweatpants” or “Telegraph Ave” among others. Today we get the latest from the rapper / singer / actor for one of his most recent songs “Sober” off the Kauai EP. He brings the song to life singing to a girl waiting for her take-out food. It borders the line of cheesy and comedy featuring some outrageous dance moves from Gambino. The setting also reminds us of the diner in the ‘Sweatpants’ music video, making us wonder if that was Donald’s intention for connecting his videos. Enjoy!

Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover To Produce And Star In New FX Comedy Pilot About Atlanta Rap Scene

Childish Gambino

Writer, actor, and rapper Donald Glover has confirmed that he will executively produce and star in an upcoming comedy pilot for a new series set to broadcast on FX. The show will be called "Atlanta", and will revolve around the rap scene in Atlanta.

“Two cousins on their way up through the Atlanta rap scene whose opposing views on art versus commerce, success and race will make their quest anything but easy.”

We even have some news on what to expect from Donald's role in the show,

Glover will be acting as "'Earnest ‘Earn’ Marks,' a college drop-out who reconnects with his long buried ambition and sets out to seize the life he imagined for himself when his estranged cousin becomes a sudden star."

With his award winning writing for the show 30 Rock, starring in NBC's Community, and past experience in the skit show Derrick Comedy under his belt we expect Glover to really nail this new project.

Let's also keep in mind that Donald Glover is also a successful rapper under the moniker Childish Gambino.  Over the past couple of years he has turned what was a hobby into a massive rap career with recent Grammy nominations for both Rap Album of The Year and Rap Record Of The Year.  Can't deny the man is multi talented; we're looking forward to what he'll do with this new role.

OverDoz. Childish Gambino King Chip 7000 Girls

This is the first time we are featuring rap collective OverDoz, who have been making noise out of Los Angeles over the past couple of years and are gearing up to release their debut album 2008. Today we have possibly one of the hottest tracks from the project, “7,000 Girls” with both Childish Gambino and King Chip featured on the track. The beat, produced by Patrick Paige II of The Internet, is a warm soulful base for all rappers to provide some impressive verses.  The light-hearted chorus gets into the title about hooking up with “7,000 Girls” on the road. No date on release or download yet, for now, enjoy the stream!
