Ryan Hemsworth – BasedWorld : Smooth Chill Progressive Trap [Free Download]

Here is an artist that we haven’t featured much of, the talented Halifax native, Ryan Hemsworth. He is another young producer who is making some incredible material. This song “BasedWorld” was given out for free to kick off 2013, and that it did. It has a smooth chilled out minimalistic feel, yet still conveys the fresh flair of trap. The song subtlety builds up further and futher as the songs progresses, leading to claps that have seeemed more climatic.It is safe to say Ryan gets where music is music. Enjoy the free download.

Grimes – Skin (Four Tet Remix) : Chilled Out Indie Electronic Remix

Today I have an incredible remix of “Skin” by Canadian electronic indie star Grimes. The light remix is done by UK born now transported to Ohio electronic producer Four Tet. He adds some drums and melody with the smooth vocals from Grimes over. This is one of the remixes that is so different and catchy, you will find yourself wanting to replay it, over and over. This remix is currently unofficial yet appeared in Four Tet’s RinseFM set. Until any details of them releasing the full version, enjoy!

Toro Y Moi – So Many Details (Music Video) : Must Hear Chillwave Indie Electronic

Here is the official music video for Toro Y Moi‘s newest extra interesting  single “So Many Details” off his upcoming Anything in Return album, set to release January 22nd. This funk flavored indie electro chillwave single starts of rather basic and continues to layer on different pieces throughout the track, really taking the listener on a full journey.. The cinematic vibe of the track translates to the music video very well. The video follows a collection of very smooth shots of typical cliche music video elements, including: hot models, expensive cars, luxurious houses, private jets. But instead appearing content, Toro seems disconnected an could care less about what is going on around him. He might possibly be trying to show how while despite getting more successful he is also getting further and further disconnected. Either way the track is incredible, and I have already abused the replay button more than a few times. Enjoy!
