Krewella has given the phrase ‘blowing up’ a new meaning ever since dropping their Play Hard EP back at the beginning of summer, and since have been crushing festivals and concertsa cross the world. They have recruited some serious names to do some remixes for their new Play Harder EP featuring 8 remixes and their newest single “Come & Get It”. They brought out French bass legends Dirtyphonics and Dutch house star Chuckie to both take on their hit “Killin’ It” and turn it their own hit tracks. Some of my favorites on the EP were the Pegboard Nerds remix of “Killing It” and young Swedish progressive house beast Jakob Liedholm‘s take of “Alive”. Also Stephan Swartz, Cash Cash x Dj Kalkutta Remixes delivered some fresh remixes of “Alive” as well, and Mutrix and Killagraham also deliver some incredible remixes to “Killing It”. It’s a great EP letting you heard 8 completely different styles from some incredible producers all over the world. Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas 2012 Live Sets (Post 1 of 5): Steve Aoki + Afrojack, Datsik, Benny Benassi, Chuckie Full Sets

Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas 2012 took place this past weekend at Las Vegas Moter Speedway just outside the iconic Vegas strip. The lineup consisted of just about every single big name in electronic music from legends like Tiesto, David Guetta, Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren, and Swedish House Mafia, Benny Benassi, Afrojack, Avicii, Knife Party, Kaskade, Flux Pavillion, Datsik, Noisia and even some Colorado favorites Pretty Lights and Bassnectar and so many more all throughout 7 stages and over 300,000 people. It’s truly a massive event. Lots of these producers / DJ’s debut tons of new material at this massive event, and luckily almost everbody gets there set recorded, and now we get to feature some of the best sets with you. We are spacing it out into 5 posts not to overload with all theses epic sets.

First Up we’ve got the special Steve Aoki + Afrojack Back2Back set where they alternated BANGER after BANGER. Next up is a hard hitting bass fueled set from Datsik playing some of the best dubstep that is sure to rattle your speakers. Then we’ve got a set that from someone who always impresses, Benny Benassi‘s, a longtime veteran who’s been in the electronic scene for over a decade always delivers a massive set that is filled with surprises. Then lastly for this post we’ve got set from dutch house star Chuckie that almost couldn’t be more Vegas, filled of course wit his anthem “What Happens In Vegas”. So I first featured Pierce Fulton in the SnowBall Official Mixtape, and today I’ve got two others from the beast of a producer. The first is a called ‘Pardon My French’ and it’s an original electro house BANGER. It’s got some nice buildups, then filthy drops. He’s got a sound that reminds me of Porter Robinson or Zedd, but an added glitchy vibe that really makes it his own sound. The second track is remix of house anthem “What Happens In Vegas” by Chuckie. He takes the dutch house track and pumps it full of his dirty edge. Today I’ve got a huge new bootleg mashup featuring Chuckie’s ‘Who Is Ready to Jump’, Porter Robinson’s ‘Unison (Knife Party Remix)’, and the 90′s hip hop song KRISS KROSS – “Jump”. The song starts off with Chuckie’s anthem, then goes into KRISS KROSS adding a cool completely different vibe to the whole track. Really excited for this track, it uses the very popular Benny Benassi – ‘Satisfaction’ sample, but in one of the best ways I’ve ever heard. Rokcity took the notable vocals and put them over the hard hitting electro track from DallasK ‘Front Back’. The outcome is the perfect track to set off clubs, parties, cars, and bedrooms across the world. As a bonus I included this bootleg also featuring Satisfaction on top of Kanye West & Jay-Z’s ‘N*ggs In Paris’, this bootleg was made by Chuckie and he gave it out on his twitter a few months back. It’s got a nice progressive buildup, then the sample kicks in, and that epic  high pitched house drop comes in. As I’ve said before, I’m not the biggest fan of straight mashups, I like it when they actually take two songs and completely smash them together. I really liked the AC/DC vs Katy Perry vs Timbaland mashup, and I think this one is of the same calibur. It’s a mashup of Daft Punk’s classic ‘One More Time’ and LMFAO and DJ Chuckie’s collaboration‘Let The Bass Kick In Miami Bitch’ and makes a completely new sounding song, making a really fun sounding party house song. The Daft Punk and LMFAO vocals going back and forth works very well. This song is sick, case closed, turn it up and enjoy!
