Coldplay‘s iconic ‘Fix You’ just got a fresh “chillstep” remix from Aylen. It has a fun dubstep flavored packed with some groove and upbeat pace coming in around 128. The drums have a nice punch to them giving the track a minor trap element. Aylen really lets the original vocals shine through well, while still flipping it into his own creation. Whoaaa.. forewarning this is one of those tracks that if listened to in the right setting will leave you with chills. Mixtapes and freely distributed albums are one of the best way an artist can get their music out to a mass amount of people. Some mixtapes are  so-so, and others just blow you away. Some are so good it’s hard to believe they are free. and that’s why every single one of these artists are blowing up so fast. 2010 had a huge amount of quality mixtapes/ free albums, and it was hard, but I’ve picked the 15 best, and a few honorable mentions because it was too hard to pick just 15. It’s crazy how big Lil Wayne is, it became apparent when he was in jail for 8 months, but seemed like years haha. You guys loved the latest from Wayne Do It Again, and now I’ve got another song in spirit of his release. This time it’s a high energy electro mashup featuring Lil Wayn’s ‘Fireman’ , a sample from Coldplay’s ‘Clocks’ and, a remix to The Prodigy’s ‘Smack My Bitch Up’. It’s a high energy electro track with some of the best Wayne lyrics and then Clocks adds a sick mashup feel to it. It’s done by Sorry for Partying who brought you the latest Shine Wit It (Ft. Dem Franchize Boyz) and Cooler Than Rock (Ft. Kevin Rudolf and Mike Posner). It’s a song that deserves some massive speakers and bass to do it justice, and it’s such a sick drop at 1:00 in. Djs From Mars are two dj’s that have been killing it across the pond in Italy. They have put out a ton of high quality originals and remixes like the ACDC vs Katy Perry vs Timbaland remix and the insane Rihanna vs UB40 BANGER. These songs are not your ordinary mashups, Dj’s From Mars use samples of these songs but they transform them into Electro House Bangers! The song starts with some chill synths and melodies. It picks up to a at 1:00 when lady Gaga’s acapellas comes in, but this song really bangs after the epic breakdown. This is one of those songs that takes a while but if you give it time you realize what a perfect BANGER it is. Enjoy!

SICK MASHUP ALBUM: Drake vs Coldplay – October’s Very Cold

Sick songs are always great, but a sick album is always a nice little surprise. I’ve been holding out on this sick new mashup album featuring Drake and Coldplay, called October’s Very Cold. It remind me a lot of Viva La Hova, the Jay-Z / Coldplay mashup album posted earlier by Mick Boogie and Terry Urban. Well this is done by Chi Duly, and he did a sick job… except the overuse of tags “Produced by Chi Duly” that appear far to frequently through the album. Other then that this album too sick. I’m sure it will make non Drake fans think twice. I’m not the biggest Coldplay fan, and I like Drake but he’s not my favorite, but some songs on this album are too sick. Give all the selected tracks a listen, but I highly recommend downloading the whole mixtape. Enjoy!

One of the Best Free Albums: Jay-Z vs Coldplay “Viva La Hova” – Mick Boogie & Terry Urban

I’ve never been the biggest fan of coldplay, and I’m still not, but I love them on this album. Mick Boogie and Terry Urban came together to make one of the sickest mashup albums I’ve ever came across. Props to my friend Austin for showing me this when it came out over a year ago. They take Coldplay and Jay-Z and mash them for a perfect blend of chill beats and sick Jay-Z rapping. This album is in my regular rotation of music to listen to, so deciding which single tracks to post was pretty hard, but I forced myself to go with 6, and these 6 are all very sick.  Highly recommend downloading the entire album in a zip file and listening to the whole thing. Enjoy!
