Posted in Events, News by chrissy | Tags: , , , , , , ,

As the year heats up with festivals and warm weather, we are pleased to announce our annual end of season party with our great friends Big Gigantic; Rowdytown IV will take place at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre here in the mountains of Colorado for another two nights September 25th and 26th. Past years have featured some incredible opening acts that have all gone on to do their own very big things; including Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, GRiZ, Dillon Francis, Adventure Club, Carnage, SAVOY and many more.  This will be the fourth year with the past three all selling out in advance!

This year might rival previous years for one of the most stacked lineups yet!! On Friday, Australian pioneer of the Tropical House sound Thomas Jack will be the headlining support alongside LA bass fueled rising force Jauz and electro soul up-and-comer DeFunk will be opening. Saturday things are a little heavier with trap icon RL Grime headlining support alongside one of bass music's brightest new stars SNAILS who is responsible for "Funk With Me", the recent collaboration with Big Gigantic, and TSIS favorite hip-hop / electronic duo Two Fresh opening up the night and rounding out the two days for a jaw dropping lineup. Also this year, the band will also be starting each night with what they will be calling, 'Big Gigantic Mixtape 2009/2010', where they will be playing different older tunes each night with a LIVE BAND to start the night off.

We are excited to announce that we have joined up with Big Gigantic to offer some exclusive pre-sale tickets to the shows before general on sale as well as exclusive VIP Rowdytown Experience VIP tickets will include a signed poster, VIP viewing, early entry, meet and greet / photo with band, a Special Rowdytown Merch Bundle and more!

Pre-Sale and VIP tickets to the festival will be available on Wednesday, April 8th at 10am MDT at BigGigantic.net. These will sell out fast like in years past, so plan accordingly. General on sale will follow on Friday, April 10th at 10am MDT.

You Gotta Move - Manic Science Art

Legendary Brooklyn duo Break Science signed to Pretty Lights Music and breakout Minnesota to Chicago soul fueled producer Manic Focus signed to GRiZ's Liberated Music have hit the studio and have formed a brand new project aptly titled Manic Science and have their first collaborative work. The organic chemistry of Manic Science is present throughout their debut single "You Gotta Move"; the cascading layers of electro-soul elements and glitchy synths combine perfectly with Adam Deitch's live drum talents, leaving us with quite an epic track to say the least. It packs a certain soulful groove that you will find yourself getting lost in. This song is stream only for now, with a release coming soon. Also don't miss below as Break Science and Manic Focus are also playing a series of shows later this week! Enjoy

My story has changed quite a lot since moving to Boulder, Colorado and starting Thissongissick back in 2010. My name is Nick Guarino and this is Thissongissick.com. We've grown a lot since, but the original goal has always stayed the same: making it easier for you to discover sick new music that you've never heard before. In high school I would make mix cd's for my friends to show them all the new music I was discovering. Now, through TSIS, we work with musicians and record labels from all over the world to showcase a variety of the freshest electronic, hip-hop, indie, and alternative music to a global following that is comprised of millions of music lovers in over 110 countries - every single month. So, make yourself at home while enjoying countless amazing musicians from a variety of genres and let the sick sounds fill your ears! - Nick
