In this first episode the documentary sits down with Singer / Song-writer / Record Label Owner Giorgio Moroder. He talks about some of their old tracks like “One More Time” and other points including the Daft Punk robots adding a human touch to today’s dance music.
Daft Punk have also announced they have brought songwriter Paul Williams, Chic frontman Nile Rodgers, and musician Chilly Gonzales to assist with their latest album. It sure to bring a blast of soul and live music back to the mainstream worldwide.

Daft Punk Releases Album Artwork and Confirms 4th Album on Columbia Records

Well today we get the true confirmation from the duo themselves from their website in the form of releasing the album artwork for their 4th album release. The cover shows both members helmets spliced together, as well as the Columbia Records logo. This confirms everything, the group will be releaseing their latest artist album through American based Columbia. The wait is almost over, we will finally get some new Daft Punk music since they scored the Tron: Legacy soundtrack.

Daft Punk signs with Sony / Columbia Records, Plans to Release 4th Album Worldwide in Spring

It has been 8 years since their last true album, and 3 since they scored the entire Tron: Legacy sountrack. The waiting is now over as Le Parisen, one of the biggest French publications just released details on the group signing with Sony Records imprint Columbia Records. This is a huge label jump from British based EMI, who has been home to the group’s first 3 records. Guy-Manuel of Daft Punk in let the details slip while talking with friends at the album release party for his friend Kavinsky in France.
Once the deal with Sony / Columbia has been finalized, they are set to worldwide release this spring.
