Daft Punk

French electronic producer, DJ duo Daft Punk have risen to a legendary status over their two decade long career.  The identities of the artists have stayed rather mysterious despite their hugely impactful careers.

Their iconic robot headwear has shielded the identities of members Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter since the duo's inception, but in a new trailer for a long-awaited, forthcoming Daft Punk Unchained documentary, the pair take off the masks to share details on the artistic control contained by keeping their physical features secretive. The documentary also highlights the rise of their Grammy winning album Random Access Memories.

Past collaborators Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Paul Williams are just a few of the artists featured in the documentary as cameos with what looks like full, in-depth interviews.

A U.S. release date for the film is said to be happening before the end of 2015, so we will keep you updated as more news rolls in. Enjoy!

Daft Punk – One More Time (Black Boots Remix) : Future Bass / Chill Trap [Free Download]

Daft Punk are responsible for some of the most notable dance anthems ever created; this undeniable fact has historically seen few producers step up to the challenge of remixing or bootleging any of their tracks. Earlier this year, we saw Dillon Francis step up to the plate and flip an official remix to "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger", turning it into a bass heavy trap banger that tore up festivals all summer.

Today we have an exciting new bootleg from producer duo Black Boots.  Delivering an impressive remix of the Daft Punk classic "One More Time" we speculate that it could even be deemed official. There is definitely some strong Flume influence in this future bass rendition of the track; highlighting the original vocals and melody while managing to turn it into a completely new track. Listen below and grab a free download. Enjoy!

Daft Punk and Pharrell’s “Gust Of Wind” Music Video Is Quite Epic

Last week we first previewed an exciting clip of the official music video for “Gust Of Wind”, a second collaboration between Pharrell and Daft Punk after their massive "Get Lucky" release. You now can watch the full cinematic journey in all its glory directed by Edgar Write, responsible for flicks like "Shaun of the Dead" and the upcoming Ant-Man among others.

The video sees Pharrell in some far off forest with his ranger hat and all moving around as dancers fly in every which direction. We then see Daft Punk represented by giant stone molds of their helmets lift up from the ground and float around while singing their chorus. The video is very well done, and leaves the viewer craving to see more Daft Punk by the end of it, which closes out with a climatic appearance of an outline of the famed robots in the sky at the very end. Watch below and you can pick up your copy on iTunes. Enjoy!
