Daft Punk – Get Lucky (Razihel Remix) : Must Hear Electro / Disco Remix [Free Download]
Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: Daft Punk, Electro, Electro House, Electronic, Free Download, moomahton, Razihel, Remix“Get Lucky” the lead single off Daft Punk‘s long awaited newest Random Access Memories has been getting remixed in a lot of ways, but just got possibly the best yet. Italian producer / DJ Razihel takes the funky track and blasts it full of electro / moombahton flavor. The drums are so beefy they will hit you right in the face. The synth and piano work, buildups, and drops all flow together seamlessly for an increidble rendition that does more then justice to the original. He has been nice enough to pass this out for free, enjoy!

Daft Punk set to do radio show with Pete Tong BBC Radio 1 + Bonus Essential Mix
Posted in Bangin, Events, News by nick | Tags: BBC Radio 1, Daft Punk, Mix, Pete Tong, Radio ShowThe exact details are still be unveiled, but BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong has announced that Daft Punk will be doing something this Friday May 10th at 9pm. Since they did an essential mix back in 97′ there is definite chance for a followup.
We might potentially hear some new tracks off the upcoming album Random Access Memories as we creep on the released date on May 21. This is speculation based off of Pete Tong’s post of course. We will post updates here.
2:15pm UPDATE: We now have news that this Friday Pete Tong will be airing the first audio interview with the duo in 6 years that was recorded at this year’s Coachella. Since it is getting broadcasted via BBC Radio 1 we can hope for a clip of another new track off Random Access Memories. Based on them doing one in the past, an Essential Mix is defintely not unrealistic in the future.
BONUS: As a bonus we have included their 1997 BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix featuring 2 hours of some of their best classic originals, remixes and favorite tracks.

Daft Punk, Skrillex, Odd Future, Chief Keef, 2 Chainz, John Legend and more are set to be collaborators on the huge record. Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk said “Kanye doesn’t give a fuck” while Daft Punk counter part Guy-Manuel added “He’s a good friend”. They have two tracks that sprang from working together. “One of them, I told him it sounded solid and powerful – I envisioned a cube when I heard it” is what Michal Gondry (Director and longtime Daft Punk friend) had to say about hearing the tracks. Stating a music video is already in the works. The album is said to be “even darker and more twisted” then Kanye’s previous LP release. Daft Punk also added that “It was very raw, He was rapping– kind of screaming primally.”
June 18th looks to be a huge release with quite the cast. We will keep you posted on more details as they roll in.

Daft Punk are ‘Bringing Back Soul’ with Random Access Memories: Collaborators Documentary Episode 2 – Todd Edwards [MUST WATCH]
Posted in Bangin, Video by nick | Tags: Collaborators, Daft Punk, Documentar, Episode 2, Julian Casabl, Pharrell Williams, Random Access Memories, Robots, Soul, Todd Edwards, Video“When the music becomes focused on the effects that are being used, or the presets of sounds.. it’s computer.. there’s no soul there. Pretty ironic that two android (robots) are bringing back soul.”
The second episode in a truly iconic video series showing the back story of the mysterious french duo Daft Punk, leading up to the release of their 4th album release, Random Access Memories.
The episode dives into some very interesting topics including Daft Punk talking with past collaborator Todd Edwards. They talk on Daft Punk being in California trying to capture this “West Coast Vibe” s like various classic Amerian acts. Todd moves onto Daft Punk and how they have always been collaborating. Todd sang , co-wrote and co-produced “Face to Face” with Daft Punk. As he put it “They Are Always On to New Challenges”, consistently working with some of the greatest producers and muscians in the world for every one of their projects. For their new album this is no different.
Random Access Memories has an incredible lineup of highly speculated collaborators. The current reported collaborators currently include Strokes singer Julian Casablancas, Noah Lennox (aka Animal Collective’s Panda Bear), Pharrell Williams, Italian disco producer Giorgio Moroder, Chic’s Nile Rodgers, piano virtuoso Chily Gonzales, songwriter Paul Williams, seasoned session guitarist Paul Jackson Jr. (Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston), Todd Edwards, and DJ Falcon.
They have recruited a diverse lineup of real musicians all connecting with different fan bases in different ways. By working with these artists they will be able to transition a raw soulful essence that is missing the growing electronic world more focused on the effects then the actual music. One of the best lines at the end is “When the music becomes focused on the effects that are being used, or the presets of sounds on the computer, there is no soul their. Pretty ironic that two android robots are bringing back soul.” It couldn’t be more true. There is not electronic act with more buzz in the entire world, so there wouldn’t be anyone more suited to bring back soul. To say that their new album Random Access Memories is going to be a game changer, would be a huge understatement. May 21st couldn’t come any sooner. You can pre-order the album through iTunes.
