Earlier this month we got the first new taste of Disclosure all year with the song “Bang That” that showcased a side we’ve never seen from the duo, yet still just as good.
Well today we got the long awaited debut single from the boys followup studio album settle. The song “Holding On” is an expansion on the unique house fusion sound they have become known for. From the incredible hip-hop inspired drums to the infectious synth bass lines they signature sound shines through bright. The vocals from Brooklyn based singer Gregory Porter acts as the completing touch to their newest. Sit back and enjoy the instantly re-playable house classic.

Austin City Limits, one of the most Popular US music festivals which brings concert goers from all over the nation to Austin, Texas has been growing to become one of the premiere festivals just like its sister festival Lollapalooza both brought you by C3 presents. They are known for their amazing diverse lineups and that's just what has happened again this year with this latest lineup leak. ACL was supposedly announcing the official lineup tomorrow (Tuesday) but looks like it leaked on their official website for a few hours and has since been pulled down but we have screen shots of the lineup so don't worry!
ACL stepped their game up big time this year as it seems every act should be a headliner with obvious stand outs like; The Weeknd, Drake, deadmau5, Bassnectar, Disclosure, Foo Fighters, Florence + The Machine, Alt-J, A$AP Rocky, Tame Impala and more. Other stand out acts to catch will be Flosstradamus, Nero, Cherub, G-Eazy, Run The Jewels, GRiZ, Halsey and many many more. See both weekend flyers below and grab tickets here before they sell out.
It’s been five months since we last got a taste of new Disclosure when they released their collaboration with Mary J. Blige. Hard At Work on their next album, today the boys took some time to premiere a brand new track on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show titled “Bang That”. Using a sample from 313 Bass Mechanic’s “Pass Out”, "Bang That" has a slightly more minimal tech house feel to it than what they usually release, something you’d hear them play at an early morning after party somewhere. Note that this is not an official single off the new album, but something to hold everyone over as we keep waiting for their follow up to their previous album Settle. Stream the record below or purchase on iTunes later today
Disclosure – Bang That
What happens when you gather 40 of the best producers, DJs, musicians, and vocalists downunder to try and create one sensational new track? Triple J radio personalities Matt and Alex made a valiant effort to construct a “Hottest 100” record with some of the biggest names in music and documented the experience for all to see.
Sadly, Lorde wanted no part in the endeavor and opted out at the first opportunity. Next, warious artists start chiming in with opinions on what it takes to build a great song, with Flume making sure everyone knew that laptops are essential in the process before Reggie Watt’s cuts out a distorted vocal sample. The mention of synths and bass, albeit the guitar, are shoved at Diplo who declines the notion while triggering Skrillex to eventually “drop the bass” accidently.
Bickering ensues amongst the group, but have no fear, because Flume was again on hand and reminded everyone that "(he) could remix the track!"
The creative process eventually leads to everyone storming out due to Rick Astley, Mr. Rick Roll himself, being kicked off the team and we are left without a true track that combines everyones talents. But hey, at least the attempt made for an entertaining 5 minute video. Laugh and enjoy!
Incredible London based singer and producer MNEK has made some serious waves in Europe but is still somehow one of the best kept secrets in the states. He just released his latest single “The Rhythm” which he produced on of providing the vocals on. The song is full of infectious house grooves that will have you moving right from the beginning all the way through. Listen to the song below and we will keep you posted on an official release or download. Enjoy!
