A few weeks back we started getting excited after hearing news that Sam Smith & Disclosure would be the latest to write and perform the theme song for the newest James Bond 007 movie.
Surprisingly, the bare-bones track entitled "Writing's On The Wall" is the first Bond theme song to be performed by a British male solo artist in over 50 years.
Here's what Sam had to share about the song.
“This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honored to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song,” Smith said in a statement. “I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it.”
Let's reflect on Adele's Oscar winning theme song for "Skyfall" which has gone to become one of the biggest songs of her career. The movie “Spectre” will be in theaters on November 6th. Enjoy.
Disclosure seem to be releasing just about every track from their forthcoming sophomore album Caracal. We've already seen tracks "Omen" featuring Sam Smith, "Echoes" and even the Lorde collab ""Magnets"".
Well today we get to hear one of the other more anticipated tracks from the album, their collaboration with The Weeknd, "Nocturnal". The 6 minute journey of a song is a darker, downtempo styled signature Disclosure production that act as the perfect soundtrack for Abel's sweet vocals to sit over. Their styles blend flawlessly, leaving us in awe as we replay the track while wondering why these artists haven't worked together before. Make sure to pre-order your copy of Caracal which drops at midnight. Listen below and enjoy!
