Today we have a fun new dance EP from upcoming indie duo Bestfriends based out of Chicago. “Get Up” is an upbeat electro spirited indie pop jam featuring some original vocals propelled along by some rhythmic synths. “A-Sides” picks up right where the first track ends, continuing down the  downtempo route. Pharrell Talks about Working with Daft Punk on their new album in The Collaborators Documentary

Another day passes, and another new Daft Punk video arrives in support of their upcoming album Random Access Memories. Today we get the 4th episode of The Collaborators series this time interviewing Pharrell. He touches on been overly excited to work with the group and finally having time while in Paris. He touches on creating “Get Lucky” when both of the were in that Nile Rodgers state of mind. He then goes on saying how the song makes him feel like he is on an endless 4am island party. A heavy hitting line, undercutting a majority of music getting produced these days is “You don’t need MDMA for this music” – Pharrell. The song is insanely incredible, and an instant hit. And he is said to have worked with the Robots on some other tracks on the album. Enjoy!

A few weeks back Daft Punk unveiled the first new song to the world in years in the form of a 15 second ad ran during Saturday Night Live. Well fellow French artist Vanderway apart of the L’ordre Collectif decided to reworked the 15 second sample of the track off Random Access Memories into a full on song complete with instruments and live vocals. Aside from being one of the most unique ideas for creating a song, it is incredible. It has a extra chill vibe pumpd full of funky Daft Punk energy. I really can’t stop replaying this track. Daft Punk let loose new song clip on SNL

Daft Punk conitinue to cement the information of the French duo releasing a new 4th album. A 15 second ad aired during SNL on Saturday Night, featuring the first clip off their new album. It packed quite the funky guitar riff, and had a very organic feel.. The quick clip showed the Daft Punk logo and the helmets cover it, the same helmet graphic that surfaced on their website last week. It was short, sweet, and now will have the world talking about it. Well played Daft Punk.

Apparently the clip was shown right at midnight making it March 3rd or numerically 3. 03, hinting at their popular 303 synth used in lots of their earlier music. Can anyone confirm this detail?

The Santa Barbara duo Candyland are off to an impressive year with the very successful release of the Bring the Rain EP, getting signed with YMCM, and now breaking 30k Facebook fans. To honor the occasion they recruited Brown & Gammon to flip their lead single “Bring the Rain”. Instead of the bass heavy glitch-hop or dubstep you might be expecting from the bass fiends Brown & Gammon, they let loose and groovy Nu-Disco heater. This remix lets you see the song in a completely different light really letting you focus on the vocals. Mat Zo – BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix : Must Hear 2 Hour Multi-Genre Electronic Mix

The rising London based 23 year old Matan Zohar aka Mat Zo has been able to break into the trance, house, and drum and bass worlds and has just been given the impressive task of doing the latest Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1. This 2 hour mix filled with a whopping 70 tracks breaks all genre boundries pulling the listener in for an unforgettable journey. It seamlesslly goes between progressive and electro house, trance, disco, tasteful dubstep and drum and bass, and more. He sets the mood for the iconic mix with an intriguing quote from Carl Sagan then starts the journey filled with songs that have all connected with Mat on a severe level throughout his years as well as some of absolute best current tracks that “Give hope about the music industry”. This is by far one of the most entertaining mixes I have heard in months, and say that after only getting to give a couple listen throughs. I can not wait to see the release of the unreleased tracks featured “Caller ID”, “Hurricaen”, and “Fall Into Dreams”. Sit back and let Mat takeover. Enjoy!

Lenno Thissongissick Mix + Above & Beyond Remix : Exclusive Disco / Electro House Mix + Remixes

Say hello to Lenno.. someone we haven’t properly shed enough light on. He’s the freshly 17 year old young electronic producer from Finland who makes his own blend of disco that grooves and packs a punch. We haven’t featured much of him since his Foster the People – Helena Beat (Lenno Remix). Well we were lucky enough to have him recreate his recent MASSIVE set from Balaton Sound Festival in Hungary, and release it as the latest TSIS exclusive mix. This set hits hard with a fierce electro edge, going outside of his disco realm. The transitions and mixing are very on point, especially at a kid his age. (See below for the full tracklist) Also included are his recent remixes of The Knocks’ “Geronimo” and Above & Beyond’s “On My Way To Heaven”. The kid has some serious skill, watch out Madeon!! haha.
