Rising Parisian producer STWO has crafted out some brilliant creations under the future bass classification since we first discovered his capabilities via a remix of Cashmere Cat’s “With You.”
Since then, STWO’s released a number of fresh originals, check out “Aura,” and applied his prowess on remixes of Kehlani, The Weeknd, and OVO head honcho Drake.
This brings us to The 6 God’s latest episode of his OVOSound Beats 1 Radio, where he enlisted STWO, his newest producer affiliate, to deliver a mix of well curated tunes for our audible pleasure. Cuts from James Blake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Toro Y Moi among others are featured alongside STWO’s originals to make for a comfortable, laid back listening experience.
Served in a chill fashion that only STWO could construct, take a listen to the entire mix below and try avoiding getting lost in the feels. Enjoy!
STWO – OVO Sound Radio Episode 10
One of our favorite new singers on the rise has been LA transplant Gallant, who's currently on the road across North America supporting indie music icon Sufjan Stevens. Last night at the Jersey City stop, they had some unexpected fun for the crowd.
For the encore of Sufjan’s set, Gallant was brought out to perform a live cover rendition of Drake’s massively popular “Hotline Bling”. Gallant and Sufjan give a strong vocal performance with Steven's band joining along while pictures of Drake are shown on the visual for comical effect. We even see Sufjan himself re-enact the epic dance moves from Drake’s music video.
Watch the equally amazing and hilarious performance below. Enjoy!
Sufjan Stevens ft. Gallant – Hotline Bling (Drake Cover)
Last night Drake posted a simple photo to his instagram with the words "October 19" repeated over and over. The two simple words were enough to get us anxious to know more. Shortly after, our anxiety skyrocketed into sheer euphoria when he posted another photo that stated, "Hotline Bling October 19."
After his posts we assumed that "that could only mean one thing." Since then we've been relentlessly refreshing our browser waiting for Drizzy to finally release what we assumed to be the accompanying music video to his latest hit. Finally after hitting refresh for the thousandth time the 6 God answered our prayers as the visuals to "Hotline Bling" popped up on our feed.
Drake had one of the most talked about performances at ACL this weekend (Austin City Limits) taking place in Austin, Texas. He brought out a very special guest, his recent partner in crime, Future.
The duo responsible for the #1 album What A Time To Be Alive performed out two of the projects tracks for their live debut including “Big Rings” and “Jump Man”. These were accompanied by their other collaboration “Where Ya At” and Future solo hits “Fuck Up Some Commas” and “Trap N****”.
We have a series of Youtube videos documenting the moment that you can watch below.
