He takes on “Trying To Be Cool” from indie group Phoenix of their recent album Banktrupt! and we have the premiere on it. Zeds Dead drops off new free 4 song EP in spirit of 35 new date ‘Altered States Tour’ with Paper Diamond, Dj Green Lantern and Branchez

Canadian bass duo Zeds Dead just announced details on an exciting new 35 date Altered Minds Tour. This is going to be the first time the are going all out and bringing their our production to create the live show they really want. As they say the tour’s name ‘Altered States’ refers to “how music has the power to change the way you feel and alter your perceptions” and the “states” of the United States that they’ll be venturing through (in addition to the provinces of Canada).

They are bringing alongside a huge cast of rising talent including Colorado’s Paper Diamond, hip-hop / electronic crossover Dj Green Lantern who is the current DJ to Nas, and progressive trap inspired producer Branchez.

To kick off the announcement they have let loose a 4  song EP including a brand new original single from them “By Your Side” as well 3 free downloads from Paper Diamond, Branchez, and Dj Green Lantern, all incredible tracks. “By Your Side” is a change of pace from their typical bangers with extra soft drops layered with the perfect vocals and piano lines. As the duo themselves have said about the track “This song is a throwback to our hip hop sampling roots,” the group explains. “We tried to complement the melancholy vibe of the vocal by continuing down a dark road of rolling sub bass riffs.”
