The Weeknd follows up his debut tri-mitape album release Trilogy with the first 2 songs off his upcoming album Kiss Land in a 7 minute back to back clip. “Kiss Land” with the same name as the album follows his expected graphic female focused lyrics we saw on his previous releases. While “John Carptner” we get a change of pace from Abel as he talks about his drug habits and the transition from never leaving home and then seeing the world. Both track follow his dark signature style. More details on the album as they come in. Enjoy

“Get Lucky” the lead single off Daft Punk‘s long awaited newest Random Access Memories has been getting remixed in a lot of ways, but just got possibly the best yet. Italian producer / DJ Razihel takes the funky track and blasts it full of electro / moombahton flavor. The drums are so beefy they will hit you right in the face. The synth and piano work, buildups, and drops all flow together seamlessly for an increidble rendition that does more then justice to the original. He has been nice enough to pass this out for free, enjoy!

Mac Miller unexepectedly teams up with intelligent beat music scene pioneer Flying Lotus for an incredible new track “S.D.S.”, complete with brand new visuals. The offbeat mildly weird track from Mac Miller gets a fittingly weird video showing Mac in Pajamas and surrounded by interesting characters. This sounds so far different then his older more predicatble tracks. Loving the bold shift, and hope to see him do more stuff with Fly Lo. This song is now available through iTunes. Enjoy!

San Francisco based Giraffage remixed Janet Jackons’ “Someone To Call My Lover” into a downtempo throwback remix that works hunbelieveably well. It has a chilled out trap remix making Janet’s works a perfect contrasting manner. Giraffagge really knocked this one out of the park. It reminds me slightly of Shlohmo’s take on “Fuck U All the Time” from Jeremih. This post ended up getting lost in the shuffle the last few days. Grab download and enjoy!

Legendary hip-hop DJ and producer Dj Green Lantern (Nas , Eminem, Etc.) took the liberty of a doing an official remix of the song and giving it a proper trap / hip-hop treatment. For the beginning section the remix doesn’t stray to far from the original minus some additional drums and some additional vocals.. until the massive drop at around 2:15 spinning the song in a completely different light. It hits you in the face chopping the track up left and right never letting you catch your breathe till the middle section, then you get hit again. The track was debuted in Dj Green Lantern’s POTATO DJ Mix, and now he has been enough to let us pass out the free download of the anthem. Turn up the bass for this one, Enjoy!

Another day passes, and another new Daft Punk video arrives in support of their upcoming album Random Access Memories. Today we get the 4th episode of The Collaborators series this time interviewing Pharrell. He touches on been overly excited to work with the group and finally having time while in Paris. He touches on creating “Get Lucky” when both of the were in that Nile Rodgers state of mind. He then goes on saying how the song makes him feel like he is on an endless 4am island party. A heavy hitting line, undercutting a majority of music getting produced these days is “You don’t need MDMA for this music” – Pharrell. The song is insanely incredible, and an instant hit. And he is said to have worked with the Robots on some other tracks on the album. Enjoy!
