Timeflies – Switchblade (Music Video) (Official Release) : New Sick Dubstep Fueled Hip Hop Music Video / Song

Posted in Bangin, Chill, Video by nick | Tags: , , , , , ,

Today I’ve got a well done music video to the electronic powered hip hop track from Timeflies, the two piece from Boston. These are the guys that brought the catchy The Scotch Tape mixtape, as well as the memorable Steve Jobs tribute, iTribute. Well this was one of our favorite tracks off of The Scotch Tape, so it was cool to see some visuals to the track. Great video work, compliments the track nicely. Love the surprisingly calm dubstep drop in the second half of the track. Turn it up, enjoy!

Judge – Money All Around Me (Protohype Remix) : Must Hear Filthy Dubstep / Hip Hop Remix

Posted in Uncategorized by nick | Tags: , , , , , ,

There’s some dubsetp that has a more soft womping sound, as well as the more piercing glitchy dubstep. Well today I’ve got real glitched out sounding dubstep remix of a track from the rapper Judge. I had never heard of Judge, but his song ‘Money All Around Me’ sounds like it was meant to have this massive bass under it. This remix is a great crunchy blend of hip hop and bass music, done by Protohype. There a two piece group from Tempe, Arizona who are starting to make some noise for themselves. Really digging their glitched out sound, it reminds me of Crizzly’s Waka Flocka – Hard In The Paint Remix. Turn it up, enjoy!

Robotic Pirate Monkey – Colors In Disguise (Official Release) : Must Hear New Electronic / Dubstep / Bass Music Album

Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: , , , , , , , , ,

Today I’ve got an an amazing album that should be for sale, but is given away for free. These guys give their music away in hopes that you’ll see them live in concert, which is definitely a necessary part to really experience the music. It’s the latest album Colors In Disguise from Robotic Pirate Monkey aka RPM. We featured Hellevator, Party Animal, and Rio De Fuego off the album. Once the told me they were going to be making an original complete album, as opposed to something remix based. I loved their old stuff but knew they could deliver a more complete musical product; well that’s exactly what this album is. Its ranges from the chiller laid back tracks to some very hard hitting bass filled anthems. It sounds like nothing I have ever heard, really blending a ton of genres throughout. The entire thing is great from start to finish. Find some good speakers or headphones, sit back, enjoy! Enjoy!

Dada Life – Kick Out The Epic Motherf**ker : Heavy New Electro House

Dada Life never seems to dissapoint with every track they track. Today I’ve got their latest anthem, ‘Kick Out The Epic Motherf**ker’, and the name is pretty fitting. It’s tons of energy from the high pitched synths throughout, to the fierce drops. This track has so much energy, it’s impossible to listen to it and sit still. For all the DJ’s out there, purchase the track through Beatport Here. Turn up the bass, find some massive speakers, enjoy!

Skream – Anticipate ft. Sam Frank (Feature Cuts Remix) : Filthy Dubstep Remix + Original Mix

Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: , , , , , , ,

Today I’ve got a very crunchy dubstep remix to the already sick track ‘Anticipate’ — by dubstep legend Skream. The original track is for sale, so it was sick to be able to post up a filthy remix for free download. This version was done by Feature Cuts, an up and coming dubstep producer from Houston, Texas. It’s right on the border of being too filthy, but doesn’t quite cross it. Love that catchy intro section to the song, and then the drop is very crunchy. I’ve also included the original to stream as well as the Netsky drum and bass remix, both are very amazing, and for sale through iTunes here.  Find some good speakers to really hear these tracks, turn it up, enjoy!

The Glitch Mob – Black Aura (Ft. Theophilus London) : Filthy Glitch / Dubstep / Hip Hop Track

Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: , , , , , , , , ,

The Glitch Mob, a few of the kings in the American bass music sound, just dropped this sick new collaboration with rapper Theophilus London. Their music simply has a gangster rap vibe to it. It’s meant to have some epic vocals, which they made clear with their Drink the Sea Party II Mixtape, chocked full of all sorts of vocals. Well this collaboration track was actually recorded back in 2009, and just now got released for download because of popular demand. I see why the demand was so great, Theophilus London kills the track really complimenting The Glitch Mob’s style. Turn up the bass, enjoy!

Styles&Complete – Epic (Original Mix) : Filthy New Dubstep Original

Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: , , , , ,

Styles&Complete have brought there share of remixes and mashups, some listed below, but they’ve only released one completely original track, G.T.F.D.. Well now we get there second, it’s called epic, and it’s got a pretty epic vibe to it. It’s a dubstep track with a huge buildup and then filthy drop and a clever sample. It’s one of those tracks you listen to on your laptop speakers and are confused, then put it on something with some bass and your face drops. Turn up the bass, enjoy!

When I moved to Boulder to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder I got exposed to some of the sickest music around. My name is Nick Guarino and I love music and especially showing people new music. Making mix cd's for friends my whole life led to the founding of Thissongissick.com with which I hope to broaden everyone's musical taste beyond the radio. There is a large amount of freely distributed music that far too little people know about. This site showcases and debuts some of best up and coming as well as already established artists, rappers, DJ's, producers and more. Through the process TSIS has found it self focusing on exposing the electronic and hip hop music scenes. Check out some music you've never heard, I'm sure you'll find some songs that are pretty sick. Enjoy!
