Sweater Beats Releases One Of His Strongest Songs To Date With “Cloud City” : Future Bass / Chill-TrapPosted in Bangin by josh | Tags: Cloud City, Ep, Future Bass, Sweater Beats, Trap
New York's rising future-bass producer Sweater Beats has been holding his own lately. TSIS has premiered his Diplo & Friends mix and Toddla T mix as well as his unreal remixes of Flume & Chet Faker's "Drop The Game" and Snakehips "Days With You" among others. Now, set to release his biggest project to date, the upcoming Cloud City EP on HW&W Recordings (home to the equally notable Kytranada and Stwo), Sweater Beats has given us a taste of what's to come with the album's title track.
"Cloud City" demonstrates the New York producer's unique ability to smoothly combine multiple layers of sound. Flume comes to mind with the use of tight drums and sharp cymbals; but Sweater Beats shows off his own distinct flare with a melody of choppy synths that turn up the energy and bring urgency to the peak of the composition. As always, the time and effort put into Sweater Beats tracks is apparent. "Cloud City" is upbeat, making you feel almost as if you were living in the Cloud City level in a Super Mario Bros game.
Cloud City EP is set to release on October 28th for free (submit your email here to have the EP sent directly to you on release day). For now, enjoy the first taste and stream the track below!

Breakout UK producer and DJ Mat Zo who's unable to stick with one style or genre has always wanted to do things his own way, so estasblishing his own imprint within the electronic world only made sense. Mat Zo joins the ranks of Diplo (Mad Decent), Skrillex (OWSLA), Claude VonStroke (Dirtybird), A Trak (Fools Gold) and others by starting his very own music label called Mad Zoo and has wasted little time in putting out its debut release via a two track The Up Down Left Right EP. The first single off the release is a disco-filled collaboration with The Knocks titled "Get Up 2 Get Down", and the newest track showcases Mat Zo at his finest yet again as he puts together an techy array of electro twists and house appeal on "Left and Right". The EP is available for free download for a limited time only thanks to Mat Zo, so we strongly urge you to act on this gift now and be sure to look out for more releases via Mad Zoo in the near future! Enjoy

We recently heard "Can't Wait To" from Lunice, the first offering from his solo record earlier this month and today we get the latest news on the other half of TNGHT, Hudson Mohawke. This song "Chimes" was first debuted back in 2012 during TNGHT live shows and a live video of them playing the song at Trans Musicales surfaced online, which was actually one of the first things to get me hooked on the duo. The song starts with an unforgettable eerie synth quickly escalating to some relentless 808 filled drops and some chopped up effects leaving the listener with an unreal amount of energy for such a short song. This is the first track to be released of Hud Mo's upcoming brand new Chimes EP, featuring 4 new songs set to release September 30th via Warp Records.
The song was also just used in the latest Apple ad for MacBook Pro centered around stickers. Watch ad below

LA elite beatmaker Shlohmo first collaborated with R&B star Jeremih last year for a suprising collaboration "Bo Beep", then followed up with the single "No More". Well today we have a brand new full release from the lethal duo, featuring a total of 5 songs featuring 2 brand new ones as well as a new extended cut of the "Fuck U All The Time" remix that started it all. What we hear in the "No More" EP is some true chemistry. The artists have had time to truly get to know each other past the initial meetings that spurred the first two tracks. It's hard to put into words how perfect the styles of both artists compliment each other. From the spacey, far out yet soulful hip-hop inspired productions of Shlohmo paint the perfect canvas for Jeremih's sensually charged R&B vocals to seriously murder. The last track on the EP has none other than growing star Chance the Rapper to lay down a verse after a half time break, adding his signature light hearted twist.
The entire EP has been leaked before it's release as a free download thanks to the artists themselves so grab a copy while still available here.
Feed Me who continues to be one of the most exciting names in the EDM world has let loose his anticipated brand new release, Feed Me’s Psychedelic Journey EP. The 4 track EP featuring the previewed "Alarm Clock", "Time For Myself" "Patience" and final track "Without Gravity". The release spans from the high energy, hard hitting bangers fused with the perfect amount of melody and unreal textures. The final track we haven't heard until today "Without Gravity" packs a cinematic intro quickly featuring some eerie almost organ influence synths setting the tone for the rather epic song. The 4 track release is now available to purchase released through Feed Me's own Sotto Voce record label. Thoughts on where his sound continues to go? Enjoy!

Being a top dawg in an industry involves personal sacrifices and putting in the man hours to obtain, something iconic genre blending producers Zeds Dead can attest to having spent most of their time on the road delivering their captivating music to the masses year round while releasing new material steadily. Diplo's eclectic eye spotted their talent early on and signed D.C. and Hooks to his prestigious Mad Decent label, which has released 3/6 EP's from the duo including their brand new Somewhere Else EP out now!
I've talked in length on how the EP showcases a different, more versatile side of Zeds Dead production; their collaboration with Alt Rock / Indie friend Twin Shadow on "Lost You" took on a deep house design while "Hadouken" featured more of their well known dubstep and bass creation capabilities. The release is quite easy to digest in one sitting and contains a stunning bass-infused collaboration with fellow Toronto producer Memorecks "Collapse", the electro soul / chill bass single "Stone Caponed" featuring long-time MC partner Omar Linx and a sultry saxophone addition by Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic, and an electro / bass turnup with Dirytphonics and songstress Bright Lights titled "Where Are You Know" and a few others. Dare I say this EP is a must obtain addition to anyones music collection as Zeds Dead show how broadening one capacity to entice listeners through genre blending can have a positive outcome on their production. Stream the EP in full below and grab your digital download now via iTunes! Enjoy
